Like... I'm in love with all the ones we have, but I'll share a pretty messed up one (in a nutshell)

So, Neikan Matsuoka was born into a cult her parents were in. She lived with the beliefs of this cult since the day she was born.

(Great start)

Basically, the cult was a small group of people that were lead to believe the world was vile and that they needed to save themselves from its infectious evil.

There were a few leaders in the cult (who were called their superiors. Basically they were known has the saviors of their people) and everyone in the cult would basically do whatever they told them to without question, no matter how stupid, because they were brainwashed to do so. This lead the people to start to believe in crazy things that any normal person would find strange, but was completely normal to them.

One day, the superiors decided that the adults knew too much of the outside world, and didn't want them to pass any of that information off to their children accidentally. They said that everyone 18 and older needed to kill themselves, and they all agreed, leaving the children by themselves.

Neikan, being 14 at the time, wasn't even sad about her parents' death as she thought it was what was going to be best for her. What her, and the other children of the cult we're worried about, was how they were going to survive.

The cult was very obsessed with everything medical and human biology related, so besides basic literature and math, that's all they knew. They had absolutely zero life skills under their belt.

In order to survive, they would have to go outside of their comfortable town, and into the vicious outside world. Of course they were scared, and the really thought they were going to die, but it was better than just accepting their fate.

When they finally came to real human civilization, outside of their home in the middle of complete no where, they slowly began to realize that the world wasn't as they were told it was.

So this explains Neikan's obsessed with the human body, her heavy lack in social skills (she still talks to people fine, but says things you wouldn't normally say), and her crazy and insane beliefs.
