Esmeralda ☝ read and you'll understand

"The crown princes doctor, I hear he is the one that delivered the glass nations princess" the doctor said grabbing some blankets from the cupboard

"Leave the pretty boy with me though, I need an assistant and I have a feeling you'll need the cripples fire mana" the doctor said grabbing Lucifers hand.

After they to find the crown princes doctor             

The doctor handed Diana two pills and a glass of water

"I don't know how much these will help a mermaid, but these help werewolves cope with birth pains." The doctor said ushering for her to grab the pills.

Diana nodded and swallowed the pills down with the water, the pills almost immediately took affect, Diana's pain began to lessen and she started to feel drowsy

"What are these pills, how can they work so quickly?" Diana said as the doctor pulled up a chair by her bed

Before the doctor could speak Lucifer chimed in.

"The church makes them, all of the Mana users including the high priest come together once every year during mating season" Lucifer said popping his head out of the room the doctor was having him clean.

"Why only the church?" Diana said confused

"Because all Mana users are owned by the high priest, everyone wants to be a mana user. Sadly only the high priest can bless you at birth" Lucifer looked down at the floor clenching his fist

"And only men live past the second faze, women mana users are seen as demons and killed before they can join the church" Lucifer seemed angry, he growled while staring at the floor.

"Lucifer?" Diana asked confused as to why he was so upset.

"My little sister was born as a mana user, without being blessed. My family was so happy, we weren't the most amazing family at times but we still cared for one another." Lucifer walked closer to Diana crouching down on one knee.

The doctor took this as his time to leave and went to the other room.

Lucifer sighed and then continued talking

"A few months after we found out she could manipulate fire, we received a letter from the church. It said that they had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for my sister to join the church" Lucifer balled his hands into a fist

"One day after my sister arrived at the church we received a letter. It said that they had thought that I was the one with Mana and that women were not strong enough to safely own a fire power."

Diana looked to Lucifer in confusion, why were women not considered strong enough when they were born with their strength not given it.

"What happened next" Diana said looking at Lucifer.

"They..... Put her down, as they call it... In better words they executed her" Lucifer looked toward the ground tears pooling in his eyes

Lucifer clawed at his legs, his ears drooped down as he tried to cover his tears with them.

Diana placed her hand on his shoulder

"Im sorry for letting you see me like this, Im sorry for being so childish" Lucifer said wiping his eyes.

"Its not childish to cry, everyone cries at some point or another" Diana said averting her eyes so that Lucifer didn't feel embarrassed.

Soon Diana's drowsiness from the medicine took over and she fell asleep with her hand on Lucifer's shoulder.

          Diana's dream.       

Julius walked into the dinning room, he saw Marianna sitting in one of the chairs reading to the child in her belly.

"And so the lion searched for a way to make the fairy smile, until the day that he died." Mari closed the book and sighed

"Reading that old tale again huh" Julius sais walking over toward Mari

"What? Its a classic, and the best children's book by far" Mari said crossing her arms and laying the book on the table.

"When I was a kid my mother never cared for silly things such as childrens novels or fairy tales" Julius said picking up the book at staring at the cover

"I will read it to you then, come come sit down" Mari said patting on the chair next to her and snatching the book from Julius.

Julius sat down and Mari cleared her throat.

"Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away......

       The fairy tale.   

The once lived a fairy named Esmeralda, she was a beautiful little girl who dreamed of joining the circus.

Of course her parents did not agree with her. They would argue with her day and night about joining the circus

They wanted her to become a government employee or join the army when she grew up.

But no matter how hard Esmeralda's parents pleaded, she refused to change her mind.

One day while her parents were sleeping she sunk out of the house and came upon a ballerina.

The ballerina told her that if Esmeralda could walk across the rope to the other side of the cliff. He would take Esmeralda to the circus.

Esmeralda couldn't believe her ears, she immediately agreed and began to cross the chasm to the cliff on the other side.

Esmeralda tripped but caught the rope before she could fall and saved herself, crossing over to the cliff.

Once she got there the rope and the ballerina were no where to be found. With no way back home Esmeralda carried on.

She came upon a lion, the lion transformed into a handsome prince who told her that if she promised never to see her parents again, he would transform into a lion trained just for her so she could join the circus.

The little girl was ecstatic and without thinking agreed to never see her parents again.

Suddenly the little girl's vision began to turn black, and she could see nothing.

Then the lion spoke to her.

"Now you will never see your parents again, and I will take you to join the circus as I promised"

The girl screamed, she did want to join the circus but she didn't want to turn blind.

The lion lifted the girl onto his back and ran off into the forest.

Once they were at the circus the owners were in love with the little girl.

They knew a beautiful blind girl who could control a lion would bring in guest.

The owners locked the girl in a cage with the lion.

Once the owners left the lion turned into the handsome prince and spoke to the girl.

"Now we will always be together, and you have everything you ever wished for"

The boy turned back into a lion and sat on the other side of the cage.

The girl felt around for the lion but could not find him. Years later the girl became ugly to the lion.

She had gone crazy without her eyesight or her parents.

She was no longer the happy go-lucky girl the lion fell in love with. She was depressed and always crying

She never knew that the lion she so desperately looked for, was still in the cage with her. And the lion, blinded by his own greed, could never realize the fairy he loved had already died trying to cross the chasm.

And that was why the fairies parents never looked for her after the dreadful night when they found their daughter body dead at the bottom of the mountain.

And so the lion searched for a way to make the fairy smile until the day that he died.

       End of story.  

Mari closed the book and looked down at her belly,

"you will never be like Esmeralda my child"
Mari said rubbing her belly,

Julius grabbed Mari's hand and smiled.

"No, she will always be a happy child. I assure you my lady" Julius said rubbing Marianna's belly.

       Diana wakes up. 

Suddenly Diana woke up to the front door slamming open.

"We got the doctor!" Eddy yelled running toward Diana

-sorry for the filler chapter, am having trouble with my computer and so had to write a chapter in the app instead of copying the chapters I've written on paper into my computer like I usually do. 😁😁❤
