Things needed to know about the story before you read

Once upon a time the land (werewolves) , air (fairies) , and water (mermaids) creatures lived as one.

The air ruled by queen Halisen, land ruled by king Roan, and the water ruled by queen Marianna. The three rulers, who knew each other since birth, were all very close.

This created a peaceful balance between their followers.

One day Roan and Marianna fell in love, they spent everyday in each others arms and soon they had a daughter, her name was Diana.

The land creatures and water creatures were overjoyed, they celebrated for 3 months straight. On the last day of the third month,

Queen Marianna was found dead by the hands of King Roan and Queen Halisen.

         As the only descendant of the water tribe, Diana was given the title of queen at the young age of 4 months.

She lived her life surrounded by stares, she was expected to be the best and by the age of 10 she was given her coronation, they had decided that once she became a woman she could rule. 

Unfortunately, some of the merfolk did not like this idea and were scared that the upper lands (anyone who is from above the water) would kill her once she became queen.

And so they decided that on the day of her coronation she was to begin training for motherhood and give birth as soon as possible.

On the land  king Roan locked himself in his room for years mourning the death of his lover and the loss of his daughter.

All of the land residents were to live in mourning as well, no one was allowed to leave their houses until the king opened his bedroom door.

This angered Halisen as she wanted to become the kings bride since Marianna was killed by her. And so she drugged the kings food with aphrodisiacs, and snuck into his chambers to have sex with him.

Three months later the fairies announced that King Roan had gotten Halisen pregnant and that they would call for war if he did not take her hand in marriage.

The werewolves were weak due to their time of mourning and so unable to fight back they took Queen Halisen in and married her to Roan. Once Diana heard of this she was enraged and called her army to kill anyone they see at the wedding.

Starting with King Roan.

As Roan laid there in his final breaths he said to his daughter

"Im sorry.."

Diana called her troops back, but not until after she made a decree that the mermaids of the glass nation (the water tribe) were declaring war on the upper land residents, and that this war would never be over until every werewolf and fairy were found dead.

Fun facts about the tribes:
- the mermaids are known for their high birth rates since most give birth at the age of 16

- the werewolves have an average birth rate giving birth at ages from 23-24

- the fairies have low birth rates 38-39

- once mermaids are 14 years old their bodies only show ageing as if they grew 3 years old every 11 years.

- fairies and werewolves age normally

- in the glass nation once any citizen is 16 they must join the army

- in werewolf culture only males can join the army at any age

- in fairy culture only women can join the army at any age but must leave before they become 28 so that they can have children

- every mermaid must join an academy called "Caedes" at the age of 10 to prepare them for joining the army-- the only way to get out of service is by becoming pregnant ( some of the students become pregnant during their stay at the academy as a way to stay from the battlefield)
