I leave Ryan's room and walk to mine refusing to cry. It isn't till I wipe the tears that I know I am crying. I remove Ryan's shirt and wear my comfortable sweats. I have work to catch up on. I make my way to my home office and do what every heartbroken lady does, I get to work. My personal assistant already brought me some files from work so I have a lot to do to take my mind off of Ryan and our argument. Couples argue right? It is not until I receive a call from Suzie on the intercom about my Ava being downstairs that I realize time had gone. I round up my work, send the necessary email and text, Mary, my PA to come get the files tomorrow before I go downstairs. Ryan, Ava and Lucas were downstairs watching Netflix.

"Hi guys" I greet and sit beside Lucas who nudges me in acknowledgment.

"Hi dear" Ava greets. Ryan just looks at me, I ignore him and eat Ava's popcorn. I immediately feel like throwing up.

"What is in this?" I ask holding my mouth.

"Normal pop corn stuffs, corn, butter, sugar, caramel and cinnamon" Ava answers. That sounds okay enough but I feel like throwing up. I quickly rush to the powder room and throw up into the toilet. Ryan follows me and holds my hair.

"Thanks" I say as I wash my mouth.

"Are you sick?" he asks concerned.

"No, I guess it could be because I hadn't eaten all day" I reply. Ryan calls a staff who made me dinner which I am able to eat fine.

"Something must have been wrong with the popcorn" Ry says as he watches me eat.

"Is she eating?" Ava asks from the living room.

"Yes" Ryan replies.

"Can we talk now?" Ryan asks. I ignore him and finish my dinner and leave for the living room.

Ava and Lucas are playing game now. I collect the console from Lucas when he loses and play a round with Ava. After winning for the tenth time in a roll, I feel my dinner come up my throat and within seconds, I am back in the toilet chugging my intestine out.

"I think you are sick, maybe you should go rest" Ava suggests.

"I think you are right, I don't feel so good" I walk over to the elevator and suddenly felt dizzy.

"I got her" Ryan says and holds me up taking me to my room.

"Thank you" I say as I lay in bed. He covers me with my blanket.

"Anytime, if you still feel sick, we are getting you to the hospital" he says and walks towards the door.

"Ry" I call.

"Yes, do you need anything?" he asks.

"Can you stay with me till I fall asleep?" I ask sheepishly. He smiles and lays down beside me cuddling me to his chest.

"Hmm. Thank you" I say snuggling in. I close my eyes and drift asleep. The last I hear is Ryan saying he is sorry.

When I wake up, Ry is sleeping beside me. I gently get off the bed and go wash up. I look at myself in the mirror and I look and fell much better, I am hungry too. I quickly shower and go downstairs to make a quick breakfast. I walk back to my room, breakfast in hand. I settle on a chair with my laptop on my laps and my breakfast on the arm of the chair and I get to work, I have emails to get through and also school projects to complete. We haven't stayed in school for the whole day in a while but it didn't mean school wasn't going on. I finalize my work and didn't get done till noon, I look up and see Ryan still asleep. He must be tired. I go downstairs to get a light lunch before lunch cause I am still hungry and I come back to my room and open Netflix on my laptop. I settle in the chair, a afghan around me and watch Supernatural, one of my all time favorite show.

"Hi" Ryan greets sleepily from the bed. I look up from the screen and see him stretching in bed. I look at the time, two pm.

"Hi sleepyhead" I greet and he smiles.

"What are you doing?" he asks and walks up to me pecking my forehead.

"Netflix" I say and breath him in.

"How are you feeling?" he asks checking my temperature.

"I'm fine, eaten today already and kept it down" I say proud of myself.

"That's cool" he says smiling.

"Someone was tired" I say teasingly. "You were supposed to stay till I sleep"

"I did and then more" he says laughing. "I didn't know I was so tired" he adds removing his shirt and walking to the bathroom.

"What do you have planned for today?" he calls from the bathroom.

"Nothing" I answer. I have class today but that is not going to happen. Ava is at school, I'd collect her note and stay up all night to catch up if I have to.

"Let's do something today" he calls. I hear the water running in the shower.

"I am still mad at you" I say and the water stops running. Everything became silent, There is not a single noise and then the water rushes again. I face my series and he doesn't say another word till he came out of the bathroom.

"I am sorry I lied, Mae" he says, "Let me make it up to you" he pleads.

"Maybe later but not now Ry, maybe later".

"Alright, I would wait until you forgive me" he says with a nod and leaves the room. I hate that he is understanding. He comes back into the room within a few minutes holding some files and his laptop, I stare at him as he settles in my bed and gets to work.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Working" he says casually as if it is a normal thing he does and I am just crazy.

"I can see that, why are you working in my room?" I ask. He looks up at me.

"My wife who is upset with me is here is so I am here" he answers and gets back to work.

We sit together in silence, a comfortable silence. Our food is also served here in the room. I cannot believe we spent the entire day in my room, after he finished with his work, he joined me to watch supernatural while we cuddled. Right now, I do not know if I am upset with him or not anymore.

"That class was the worse" I say as we exit the class.

"What was he on about, I kid you not, I perfected the act of sleeping with my eyes open" Ava adds and we laugh. "What now?" she asks.

"I don't feel like going home yet, why don't we hang around campus?" I ask.

"Lucas and Ryan are having practice, should we go watch?"

"I'm down". We walk towards the court, "So you and Lucas, huh?" I ask.

"I do not know. Sometimes I feel like he is going to ask me out and then he just doesn't" he says and sighs.

"So you like him?" I ask shoving her playfully. She laughs.

"Maybe. I don't know for sure" she says.

"But you kissed him during Raina's wedding" I say surprised.

"I know but we haven't talked about it yet".

"Find out if you are sure that you like him and then just ask him out. We both know that Lucas wouldn't ask you because he is scared you would say no and that would make your friendship awkward" I say as we walk into the field and find a seat under the bleachers. Ryan and Lucas are having a basketball practice which I am happy about because it is indoor and that means AC and no sun. Lucas is talking to a girl and she casually runs her hands down his arm.

"Okay I know for sure now. I like Lucas" Ava says rage in her eyes towards the girl. She leaves the bleachers and runs up to Lucas wrapping her legs round his waist. Lucas face lights up when he sees Ava running towards him. He hold her and walks away from the girl. The girl looks angry at Ava but walks away.

"Who was that?" I faintly hear Ava ask as she and Lucas walk towards the bench and sit. Maybe she would tell him they finally need to talk.

"Hi" I hear beside me drawing my attention away from Ava and Lucas. I look up to see Ryan standing over me.

"Hi". He sits beside me pecking my cheeks. I know things are okay with Ryan and I yet 'cause he lie to me but he seems more attentive, trying to win my forgiveness. I haven't forgiven him yet but I like the attention from him, I like that he is around. I look at him, there are balls of sweat on his face. I hand him the bottle of water I brought for him.

"Thanks" he says with a smile and takes the water.

"How is practice?" I ask as he drinks the water.

"Going well, thanks for coming"

"I always make time for the people I love" I say and look at him with a raised eyebrow hoping he gets the message. He looked a bit hurt.

"I am trying to learn from the best" he says. He got the message.

"What are you doing today?" he asks. I look into his pleading eyes. He really wants to make it up to me for lying.

"Nothing" I answer.

"Can we do something today?'' he asks still pleading.

"What?" I ask giving in. Ife he wants to try to win my forgiveness, who am I to stop him.

"Really?" he asks with excitement.

"Yes" I say smiling, his excitement is contagious. The whistle blows and the guys gather on the court. Ryan kisses me and runs down the bleacher to the court. The whistle blows again and the game starts.

"What did you talk about?" I ask Ava as she walks up to me and sits down.

"I told him I liked him" she says and covers her mouth.

"You did not" I say smiling with my eyes.

"I did" she says laughing.

"And?" I ask.

"We are going on our first official date today" she says excited.

"No way, you go girl. I am proud of you" I say and hug her.

"I cannot believe I did that" she says laughing.

"Where are you going?" I ask curious.

"I do not know but he said he's got it and would pick me up later today at seven" she answers. I am so happy for her. She has liked Lucas since we were in second grade, that long. She dated other guys sure but Lucas always had a place in her heart so for her to finally go on a date with him is a big deal.

"What am I going to wear?" she asks.

"Do not worry, we would go to your place and figure it out" I answer.

"What would I do without you" she says.

"You would never have to find out" I answer smiling.

We face the guys practice and cheer them on, whooping and clapping when necessary.

"We should do something for Raina and Larson before they come back" I suggest. They are coming back tomorrow.

"I cannot believe they cut their honeymoon short" Ava says.

"I know right?" I agree. They just got married three days ago and they are coming back tomorrow. They spent three days instead of a week. Apparently Raina has a test coming up that she doesn't want to miss and Larson has some company duties to see to. After that, they decided to have a staycation honeymoon.

"We should decorate their home with banners and food and flowers to welcome them" I suggest.

"That's a plan" Ava agrees.

After the game, we drive over to Ava's house to get her ready for her date. Ryan and Lucas go to Lucas' house instead. We are at Ava's place.

"What to wear.. what to wear" Ava says as she runs her hand through her clothes.

"We don't even know where you are going" I say walking through her closet. At that moment she gets a message.

​ ''Nice. Its easy and you get to talk and know each other in a romantic way" I say smiling. Ava blushes.

We finally pick a elegant red dress which hugs Ava's body, the dress stops mid calf. The back is open and the front shows a little cleavage. We style her hair into a neat bun and she wears a pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings. She pairs it with white stilettoes. She does her make-up, pairing her red lipstick with smoky eye shadow.

"You look beautiful" I compliment as she twirls.

"Thanks love" she says smiling. The door bell dings, she grabs her white clutch and goes downstairs.

Lucas is waiting by the door with a bouquet of lilies, Ava's favorite flowers. Ryan is with him. Ava tucks an invincible hair behind her ears and giggles her thanks when Lucas presents the flowers to her.

"You look beautiful" he says and pecks her cheeks.

"You look handsome as well" she returns the compliment. Lucas is wearing a tuxedo and he looks charming in it. The tux hugs his body well showing off his athletic build, his shoulders look broader.

"She's right, you look handsome. I love a guy who looks in suit" I say winking at him.

"I am wearing suits from now on" Ryan says looking at me. I wink at him. There is something about a guy that can wear a suit and look good in it. He walks up to me and wraps his arm over my shoulder.

"Alright guys, have fun" Ryan says waving at them.

"Wait, let me take your picture to commemorate" I say stopping them. One would think we're their parents sending them off to prom. I take a lot of pictures.

"Come on, Mae. We have a reservation" Lucas says.

"Fine, have fun" I say. I collect the flowers from Ava, "I would put this is water for you" and did that when they left.

"What are we doing tonight?" I ask Ryan as we enter his car. Ava drove me to her house while Ryan drove me to school earlier today.

"It's a surprise" he says smiling cheekily, his tongue at the corner of his side.

I am excited as we drive home. I love surprises but then who doesn't. The drive home is peaceful. I put on the radio and dance along with the music playing. Ryan places a hand on my laps and the other on the wheel. I put my hand on his and intertwine our fingers, a smile breaks out on his face.

"Want to change to something comfortable?" Ry asks as he parks the car at home.

"Alright" I say and walk towards the front door.

"Wait up kitten" Ry calls and holds my hand as we walk in. I quickly shower and change to comfortable wool shorts and cropped sweat top. I put on my slippers, pack my hair in a messy bun and leave my room. Ry is sitting on my bed as I walk pout the closet.

"You scared me" I say holding my heart when I see him. "When did you come in?" I ask.

"Not long" he says smiling. "You look beautiful" he adds.

"I look comfortable" I correct.

"Beautiful in my eyes" he adds pecking my lips. He is wearing grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt. He holds my hands and leads me out the room.

"Do you trust me?" he asks as be holds up a blindfold. I trust him.

"I trust you". He smiles and covers my eyes with the blindfold. "Whoo!" I say as he carries me on his back.

"Just trust me" he says and I hear him laugh. I hold on to him as he starts moving. About five minutes later, he puts me down gently.

"Ready?" he asks and I nod. He reaches from behind me and removes the blindfold. My eyes widen in surprise. We are in a garden on the roof of the house. There is a mattress in the middle under a canopy that is covered in string lights. There are small fake candles around the plants, there are also string lights on the railings. There is a projector set up in front of the mattress, there are also so many junk foods laying around. I cannot believe he set this up, it's amazing. I look up at him and jump on him hugging him. He holds on to me.

"So you love it?" he asks looking me in the eyes.

"Thank you. I love it" I say kissing all over his face. He laughs.

"That tickles" he says still laughing. I kiss him square in the mouth and he deepens it putting his hands under my top at the back. I move to remove his top and he stops me.

"Not now kitten" he says laughing and carries me to the mattress. I settle in, it is a comfortable bed, I use the blanket and snuggle into Ry's chest. Forever My Girl plays on the screen and we watch it. I eat almost all the food here, I am strangely hungry. We sit there and enjoy the night, talking and laughing all through. It isn't until the morning sun hit my face that I realize we slept on the roof. I turn into Ryan, who holds me tight.

"Morning" I greet as he opens his eyes.

"Morning kitten" he replies kissing my forehead. "Did we sleep outside?" he asks.

"Yes we did" I answer and sit up in bed stretching. "Last night was wonderful, thank you again" I say kissing him.

"Does that mean I am forgiven?" he asks.

"If you tell me why you were up that night and lied to me" I say looking at him.

"I think it's time to get up" he says and gets up off the bed.

"Talk to me, Ry" I say sad but he wouldn't respond. Now he's ignoring me, making me way more curious as to what is happening.

"I thought I was getting way more important to you" I say indifferent and move to get off the roof.

"Mae, wait up" he says holding my arm.

"No, No Ry. You keep asking for a second chance but nothing seems to change. One minute things are good, great even but by the next minute, your are secretive and withdrawn. Do you not trust me Ry?" I say feeling rejected, I am close to tears. Why am I always crying lately when I am not a child.

"I trust you, Kitten" he says and hugs me. Breathing him in I almost hug him back but I restrict myself and escape his embrace.

"No, don't call me that. When you are ready to talk, I am here but till then, Just no" I shout and leave the rooftop. I hear him follow me.

"Wait up, Mae" he says holding my arm.

"What is it, Ry?" I ask irritated. I release my arm from his grip and fold it.

"Please trust me, I would tell you everything when the time comes. I promise never to lie to you again or leave your side. Can you please just believe me and trust me, I am begging you" he says, his eyes burrow into mine begging me to trust him. I take a deep breath in. Why do I love this boy this much. I drop my hands and fold them into a fist.

"Fine. I am going to trust you, please do not make me regret it".

"I promise you wouldn't" he says holding onto me. He kisses me and I can feel the gratitude he is feeling in it.

I go me room and get ready to meet Ava at Raina and Larson's home. They are coming home in an hour or two.

"How was your date last night" I ask Ava as we put the banner up, it says 'Welcome Home Lovebirds'.

"It was amazing. I had so much fun" she says blushing. "We talked about so many things and Lucas made me laugh a lot".

"I am happy you guys are finally a thing" I say smiling too.

We put the finishing touch in the house decorating with flowers and balloons. We even kept a trail of flowers on the floor leading up the stairs into their bedroom and place a flower heart on the bed. There are fake candles all over the floor and we turned off the light. ​Done.​

"Let's go for lunch" Ava suggests and I drive to the brunch place we usually go too. It isn't long before we order. I take a big bite of my waffles and it doesn't feel right as it goes down, I force myself to swallow it.

"What is wrong?" Ava asks when she sees my face.

"Does this taste right?" I ask and give her a bite.

"Takes like waffles and syrup, its fine" she says. I try to take another bite and its the same thing.

"Try this" she says giving me her pancake and I eat that easily.

"That tastes fine" I say and she exchanges food with me.

"You can have mine" She says and I express my gratitude.

We are in my car and I feel a bit bloated and tired. I get into the car and drive towards Ava's house.

"You know, I am thinking" she starts, i look over at her, "Maybe you have PMS" she says. I just look at her.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"You said you are bloated and tired.."

"Yes?" I say urging her to go on.

"Well you have been having mood swings lately too" she concludes. I didn't notice that.

"I have?" I asked and she nods. "Maybe you are right, I have a mild cramp and my breasts are sore".

"See, this are signs of PMS" she says proud of herself. Maybe she is right. I quickly press the brakes.

"What is it?" Ava asks. I shake my head.

"Nothing". I say trying to smile. I drive her home and Quickly peel out of her compound and driving to a store. ​It can't be right, I can't be. ​I walk into medical side and grab different kinds of pregnancy test. I drive home, my heart beating so loud. Thank goodness no one is home, I run up the stairs and into my bathroom. I look at my period calendar, it's late. Heart still pounding, I pee on all the sticks I bought, set a timer and wait for the results.

The timer dings and I check the results.
