06 Ringo's POV
Suddenly, we heard him screaming from the other room. Nancy threw a glance at me and I saw the fear in her eyes as we rushed to his side. He was thrashing and crying and we tried to wake him up but we couldn't. I'd never seen him like this, not even when John died. He screamed again and woke himself up. He was crying uncontrollably, sweating like mad, and his chest was heaving. I hugged him because I didn't know what else to do. He looked into Nancy's eyes after about five minutes.
"It...it was j-just l-like last n-night," he stuttered, shaking. His chest was still heaving. "Why? Why didn't I help her sooner?"
"You didn't know!"
"That's no excuse! I should've...I should 've had her looked at more often...I should've..." He broke off into another fit of sobs.
"It's not your fault, Paul!" Nancy said. "You can't know how other people feel, especially when they don't know what's going on. You can't keep blaming yourself!"
Suddenly he grabbed her arm. "What about you?" he looked deep into her eyes, searching for something I couldn't understand.
"No, it's you I'm worried about" She ran her fingers through his hair and I took that as a cue to step out of the room.
