Chapter 17 : Enough is enough!

A/N : It's me, spoiling KautilyaNath with a third chapter.

Everyone looked at Hoseok, shocked, because such an attitude was unlike him. The dancer held Seokjin's tearful gaze.

"Have you gone crazy?! How can you say things like that?!"Namjoon exclaimed.

"He hurt one of us again right now!" Hoseok replied in the same tone. "He went after Jimin!"

"What?!" Namjoon, Yoongi, Jungkook and Seokjin exclaimed in one voice.

"H-how can you say that?" Seokjin sobbed. "I know my incompetence hurt the group but I never did it on purpose. I n-never wanted to hurt anyone..."

Seokjin already felt so guilty about being a burden to BTS that he was going to collapse when he learned that he was responsible for his dongsaengs' suffering. Jungkook, who had tasted this guilt himself, in no way wanted the mathyung to feel this. He threw a pleading look at Namjoon who understood and declared:

"Jungkook, Jin hyung is in pain. He has to eat to take his medicine, so come down with him to the kitchen. Hobi, calm down and let's go see Jimin, okay? You will tell us what happened."

Jungkook nodded and helped Seokjin get up to take him downstairs and away from Hoseok who seemed ready to tell him everything without the slightest qualm. Yoongi, for his part, remained silent and thoughtful, seeming hesitant about what to do and preferring to follow Namjoon's instructions rather than having to decide what to do himself.

"No, I want to go see Jimin too," Seokjin protested.

"We'll go later together, okay?" Jungkook told him, leading him out of the room.

When they went out, Hoseok shouted:

"I can't understand how he can continue to take Jin hyung's side!"

"Lower your tone or he will hear you," Yoongi said.

"I don't care, I'd rather he knows what I think!" Hoseok replied.

"You don't think you're being hard on Jin hyung?" Namjoon replied, "he has no idea what's going on!"

"That's what he says, but he's a good actor, he can lie very well!"

"Wow, that's definitely not you talking," Namjoon retorted, not recognizing Hoseok and wondering how he could imagine that Seokjin was a liar who meant harm to them.

"You're wrong, it's definitely me. It's just that we have all suffered, something has been taken from us and for him everything is fine, how can he not realize that?"

"Everything is fine with him?" Namjoon repeated in a dry tone, "I think you forgot what happened to his shoulders! Hobi hyung, you're not the only one who suffered, he too suffers because of that doll. In addition, contrary to what you said, he didn't take anything from me at all."

"Not yet," Hoseok replied. "But Jimin said the same thing yesterday. And today someone tried to strangle him in his sleep."

"Eh?!"

"Yes, and this doll came back like magic and besides, it has fingers now, that's all it needed to start strangling one of us. And Jungkook wants to return this monster doll to Jin hyung? Hell no, I won't let that happen!"

"I'm on Hoseok's side, Namjoon," Yoongi announced, "we can't continue to defend Jin hyung when so many things is happening before our eyes and he pretends not to see anything. We have to do something and it's going to start with talking to him honestly."

"Okay, I hear you but let's take the time to think about our approach because Jin hyung is not our enemy, he's our hyung, okay? Now let's see how Jimin is!"

Concerned, Namjoon headed towards Taehyung, Jimin and Hoseok's room, Yoongi and Hoseok following him.

"Jiminie?" Seokjin called softly from the bedroom door.

Accompanied by Jungkook who never left his side, he entered the room towards the bed where Jimin was wrapped in his blankets, a scarf around his neck. Taehyung was with him. Hoseok, Namjoon and Yoongi had gone down to the kitchen and Hoseok had not said a word to Seokjin when passing him, he had only glared at him.

"Jiminie, I heard you weren't feeling well, is it better?" Seokjin asked.

Jimin's terrified gaze fell on him and he took a step back, stunned. Why was Jimin afraid of him? Why did Hoseok say he was the one who hurt him? It was impossible, he almost couldn't use his arms!

"Please don't come near me," Jimin whispered in a barely audible voice, tears in his eyes. "Don't-don't hurt me..."

"W-what?" Seokjin said with wide eyes.

"Hyung, I think it's best for you to stay away," Taehyung added with a hard look.

Hearing Jimin's frightened whisper and the hostility in Taehyung's voice Seokjin froze.

Jimin had always been the most attentive to his suffering, even if he pushed him away most of the time so that he would take care of others instead. He was gentle with him and the least accusatory regarding his failings towards the group. It was he who reassured him the most when he felt guilty, it was his empathy that made him feel better when he thought he no longer had his place with others, when he had the impression that everyone wanted some. And now Jimin didn't want him near him anymore and he was afraid he would hurt him? It was a real nightmare from which he could not wake up.

As for Taehyung, their bond had strengthened after the youngest had gone through a very difficult phase which had made him lose self-confidence. Seokjin had been there for him and helped him, why was he so hostile towards him now? What could he have done to make Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung mad at him like that? And for Yoongi to be so distant with him and not even stand up for him following Hoseok's accusations.

Jungkook looked at the other three with concern, then, leaving Seokjin, he approached Jimin and asked:

"What happened?"

"He saw the scary girl," Taehyung explained without taking his eyes off Seokjin. "Hyung, you remember her, right? The one you called Bloody Mary?"

"The girl in the mirror?" Seokjin asked, perplexed.

"She wasn't in the mirror," Taehyung replied, "she was on him, she squeezed his throat and almost crushed his vocal cords."

Shocked to hear this, Seokjin remained speechless in shock but he couldn't completely think about that imaginary girl while Jimin's condition was worrying him. He had been strangled?! Just as shocked, Jungkook gently untied the scarf around Jimin's throat and let out a cry of shock at the same time as Seokjin upon seeing the strangulation marks.

"Oh my god..." Jungkook whispered.

"He doesn't have a voice anymore," Taehyung clarified, staring at Seokjin to see his reaction and try to see if his shock was genuine or if he was acting.

Jimin started crying again and instinctively, Seokjin wanted to join him to hug him but Taehyung immediately extended his arm to prevent Seokjin from advancing and shouted at him :

"Don't come any closer!"

"W-why?" Seokjin stammered, "why can't I come? And why are you afraid that I will hurt Jimin?"

"Because I just realized that you are a danger to all of us."

This time, Jungkook, horrified by what had happened to Jimin and remembering the doll's curved fingers that had grown overnight, found nothing to complain about. There was truly a danger that came from Seokjin's feelings towards them. They were going to have to explain things to him so that he understood and made sure he stopped.

"W-what?" Seokjin stuttered. "I-I'm a danger to you?"

"Exactly," Taehyung affirmed, "you are deeply jealous of all of us and you will end up destroying us."

"N-no... it's not true, please don't say that, Voo..." Seokjin whined.

Taehyung almost let himself be moved but at that moment, Jimin looked at his phone where he had just received a message and, crying harder, sobbed in a muffled voice:

"They changed the distribution of the lyrics of the songs on the next album. Jin hyung will replace me in the songs without MVs that we haven't recorded yet."

Surprise made Jungkook and Taehyung's mouths open wide and the latter ended up saying in a harsh tone:

"I refuse to let Jin hyung replace you. If you don't sing, then I won't sing either. I refuse to let Jin hyung steal your place in addition to stealing your voice. No one should accept, even you Jungkook!"

"B-but I didn't do anything..." Seokjin protested in a broken voice, while Jungkook, surprised by what Taehyung had just said, didn't respond and wore a worried expression.

"You're causing BTS's downfall," Hoseok said from the door, holding up his phone because he, like everyone else, had just received the same message as Jimin. "We continued to work with you despite everything we thought of you, despite any mistakes you made and in return, you decided to steal from us what you didn't have and were jealous of us. We can't take it anymore, enough is enough!"

Speechless with horror, Seokjin felt like his heart was going to stop when Jungkook slowly asked Hoseok and Taehyung:

"Are you implying Jin hyung should leave the group?"
