All the idols together, with the exception of Jin who was nowhere to be found, had to lend themselves to the odious games of the interviews. 

     Some explained that they were still relieved and grateful to have escaped the Games, others said they were anxious because their faces could not lie but claiming honored that fate had chosen them to represent their country.

     Then, the cameras went out, the journalists took the road to the car park and the artists, after having greeted the President Park who retired to her quarters with her advisers, and the artists were finally able to remove their comedian masks, letting their emotions overwhelm them again, some calling their family to share their feelings about what had just happened, others taking the time to comfort the unfortunate members of BTS.

     Then, some BTS members headed for the cars, unwilling to stay longer than necessary at the Blue House which would now be considered a cursed place for them.

     As he intended to go looking for Jin in an attempt to chat with him one last time, Shownu was suddenly pulled back by an unexpected force.

     "Don't think you're getting off so easily!" Jungkook growled.

     "Let me go," Shownu ordered, in a bored voice, not wanting to deal with the youngest of Jin's group. "I'm looking for Jin, don't you know where he is?"

     Jin had told him so much about the BTS maknae that he always felt like he had known him forever without ever having met him and talk to him before. However, the Jungkook in front of him was furious and didn't look like Jin's description of him; there was nothing adorable about the kid, he was almost scary.

     "As if I was going to let you see him!" Jungkook replied, "Jin hyung trusted you and he admired you. He kept talking about you in glowing terms 'Shownu is like that', 'Shownu would have done that', bla bla bla. But I can see now that you have nothing to admire, you just betrayed him."

     "Are you mad at me for protecting my group instead of yours? Or perhaps, are you just a scared kid who wanted to be saved at any cost?"

     Shownu knew that he shouldn't have provoked Jungkook given the state in which the youngest was after the draw that may have just ruined his and his bandmates future. So, he was not surprised to receive the punch that threw him to the ground. 

     Yoongi, who had come back to pick up Jungkook and had witnessed the scene, rushed to restrain the younger one who was about to kick Shownu again, still on the ground.

     "Let go of me hyung," Jungkook protested, "it's all his fault!"

     "Oh really? And how could it be my fault, little genius?" Shownu asked coldly as he stood up and spat out the blood that was filling his mouth.

    "Even though hyung didn't say everything to protect you, I know it's your fault. I know it was you who shot him and not the North Koreans," Jungkook replied.

     "What?!" Yoongi said, flabbergasted, who was having more and more trouble holding him back. "So that's why he wakes up every night screaming your name? Not because you protected him but because you shot him?"

     In turn, Jungkook was stunned to learn this. He knew that Jin slept badly, but not to this extent. 

     Shownu's amazement also showed as he didn't think Jin would have let his dongsaeng know that he shot him without telling them it was an accident while he was trying to save him. Besides, the details of what happened should have been kept secret. Now he understood better why Jungkook hated him. 

      The latter spat:

     "You are responsible for what happened so you should have volunteered when you were offered it. Jin hyung didn't deserve to be punished for you and neither did we!"

     Shownu got a grip of himself and replied in a scathing tone:

     "You don't know shit brat, you weren't there so shut your mouth!"

     "Alright, now I know where that lovely vocabulary that brought Jin back with him when he got home came from," Yoongi quipped. "It's a pathetic a way of speaking, especially when you are at fault."

     "You call me pathetic ?" Shownu retorted, more enraged than ever, his eyes flashing, "You have no respect for your elders! Start by giving Jin the respect he deserves before claiming a decent language in your presence because right now you're the pathetic one here. And you Jungkook," Shownu added facing Jungkook, "you're convinced that everything is my fault, right? But before talking shit, think carefully and don't you dare forget because of who Jin ended up in the army when he was the most immature of you and wasn't ready for it at all. It's your fault first and foremost."

     Jungkook frowned, taken aback. Seeing this, Yoongi felt anger rise within him.

     "I advise you not to venture down this path," he warned Shownu, suddenly threatening, "mind Monsta's business and leave BTS's issues to BTS."

     "No way," Shownu retorted, "now that I have the chance, I will tell you what I think of you. Jin has always been way too nice to belong to a group like yours. He always put himself after you, and had to suffer in silence for you."

     "To suffer? He did his military service as a mathyung, that's all," Yoongi replied wryly. "He always liked to add more so that we pity him, that's all."

     Unable to stand it any longer, Shownu let his anger burst out:

     "You have no idea what he went through in the barracks and in the field for a year and obviously before that, when it was still with you! And if you had that much spirit of sacrifice and an real idea of what a mathyung is for the group, why didn't you go yourself, what was stopping you? 

      I know you thought you earned mathyung's place and deemed Jin unworthy, but tell me honestly, who among you two is more unworthy to? The one who sacrificed for his dongsaengs or the one the one who threw his eldest into the cruel system on the pretext that he had to grow up? 

       But maybe the antisocial Yoongi was himself too afraid not to make friends to do the military service and had to send his cute big brother to socialize with the army freaks in his place? Because believe me, with such a personality, you wouldn't have had any friends ther-."

     This time, it was Yoongi who savagely threw his fist at Shownu but the other, better prepared than against Jungkook and strong in his military training, stopped him without difficulty and twisted Yoongi's arm behind his back. The rapper grimaced, unable to pull himself away.

     "Hey!" Jungkook protested , who was about to help Yoongi but was interrupted by the dry and imperious voice of the leader of Monsta X:

     "Now, tell Jin this for me when you see him, okay? Don't act like a princess who's afraid of the mud and bugs out there. Come back alive, even if it means leaving your ungrateful dongsaengs behind."

     With those words, Shownu let go of Yoongi and headed to Monsta X's van where the rest of his group had boarded while waiting for him. The two BTS members glared at him until the van started. 

     "Jungkook?" Yoongi called out forcefully, catching the maknae's attention.

     "Yeah?"

     "We're going to win the Games against North Korea, come back, and kick Monsta X's ass no matter what competition comes our way."

You are not responsible for what happens to your dongsaeng, you must absolutely succeed in convincing yourself of it because it is the truth.

Be a worthy South Korean soldier and show our enemies that they were wrong to come after us.
