Chapter 32: Fitz

Where is he? The boy doesn't even know anymore.

But as he walks in the darkness, the one word echoes all around him.

"Awake."

Should he be awake? Does he want to be awake?

Like the boy found out earlier, he doesn't know anymore.

Suddenly, one white-light ball rolls towards his feet. The word "awake" repeats itself in the darkness as a mere whisper. Another orb of light comes to his feet. He doesn't pick it up, remembering the horrible feeling from when he actually did pick the glowing orb up. As he leaves the two balls where they are, the word "awake" echoes louder, as if someone's talking to him.

Over and over and over again.

A third ball comes in. "Awake" repeats itself so loudly that it's blaring everywhere.

So the boy does what he thinks is right.

He kicks each of the orbs, destroying them.

The "awake" quickly die down to tranquility, and the boy feels satisfied, continuing his walk in the darkness.

Who's sending the white orbs?

Then they should know for him, "awake" hurts him.

It hurts too much to be worth it.
