"Testing... 1,2..."

Lila gently set down the wooden bow on the table.

"Okay," She said, "I'm done with the carving. All I need now is some rope for the bowstring."

Arik opened a compartment on his fuzzy belly, "Would this work?" He said, handing some paracord to Lila, "I found it back in Montana. I thought it would be useful."

"And you were right about that," Lila replied, examining the paracord, "It's the perfect length," She looked up, "Thank you."

Arik nodded back once, smiling politely.

Lila began to tightly wrap the paracord around one of the fanned-out ends of the bow. Then she tied it six times on that side, to make sure it didn't come undone. She proceeded to do the same thing with the other side, pulling the rope taut. She wrapped the paracord around the other side, then tied it.

"Here," Lila said, handing it to DIesel, "Is this good?"

Diesel took the bow, and pulled the paracord back with one arm, holding the bow with the other. She let the rope go, which made a slight snapping sound in it as it struck the wooden part of the bow.

"It feels pretty solid," Diesel commented, "Yeah. This'll be fine."

Lila handed the carving knife to Jayden, since he knew a lot about aerodynamics that none of the others knew about. So, he began making the arrows...

Meanwhile, Krystal and Emmett were planning on how to rescue Hugo...

"There's only five of them," A lion model said, turning to Krystal, "There are ten of us. We should strike now!"

"I agree with Toriel," The fox model concurred.

"But," Emmet exclaimed, "But they'll kill Hugo if we do!"
"I know Lila," Krystal replied in her chillingly airy voice, "And I know what she's capable of. She won't kill Hugo."

"And how do you know this?" Toriel challenged her judgement.

Krystal replied, "You were the one who was carrying Jayden to the cabin, correct?"

"I was."

"There was a look of rage in her eyes, wasn't there?"

He recalled the past events, "Yes."

She started pacing, "I've seen that look before. In the school gym when they shocked us. Oh, she knew that it was part of the plan. But when it began with Jayden, I could hear her engines powering up much more than they had ever been before. For a brief second I looked up to see a look of what could only be described as pure madness in her eyes," She continued, "Quite frankly, she's tremendously protective of him."

"And what does that have to do with anything?" The fox asked.

She stopped pacing "Jayden detests killing, and if Lila killed Hugo, that would 'hurt' Jayden. That would defeat the whole purpose of what she's trying to do."

"Oh. Okay... Now it makes sense," The fox understood.

"But if Lila gets that mad," Emmett was panicking a bit, "Then we can't beat them. She's too powerful!"

"You'd be surprised about how much damage that I can do," Krystal was irritated with Emmett, "I am the younger model, which makes me far superior to her in every way."

"Okay," The fox responded, "But it's not like you're going to go in there alone. You'll need our help."

"I can do it," Krystal was confident of herself, "I've done it before, and I will make sure she understands that."

Toriel said, "If you truly are as powerful as you claim, then you should not have to prove yourself to her."

Krystal activated her new energy extraction program, and grabbed Toriel's shoulder, draining him of most of his power, "If you ever doubt my power again, Toriel," She snipped back, while opening a panel on the back of his head, and delivering a shock to him, "I will do far more than merely shocking you."

She let go of him, and Toriel fell to the ground.

"The modification looks like it's working," Emmett commented nervously.

"Yes," Krystal smiled gleefully, "Now it's time to use it in action."
