Escape
It was three days later, all of them met in the Art Room, and they had what they needed. It was decided that Jayden and Lila would remove the devices, since they had the most articulate and steady hands out of all of the robots. Once the procedure was done, Sukoyaka quickly hid the tracking devices in the classrooms.
After another long day, the four met to discuss ideas on escaping the Learning Center, and the abuse they faced daily.
"There are alarms on the doors," Sukoyaka said.
"They need to be accessed by the Control Center in order for the alarms not to be triggered," Lila added, "But, they are able to be opened manually in case of a fire. However, that would alert the Fire Department."
Jayden offered, "I could find a way to disable the alarm system, or at least delay-" He stopped; his arms and head started to twitch violently, and his knees were starting to give out.
Lila ran over, and caught her friend before he fell. Her eyes slanted in anger, even though she knew this would happen. Then, they activated Lila's pain receptors, and remotely shocked her, along with the others. Lila cringed, and jolted her upper body forwards, as if she had been punched in the stomach. She stayed in that position for about three seconds, then, even though she was still being "electrocuted", she corrected her posture slowly so as not to let go of Jayden.
"Make it stop!" Krystal cried, balled up on the rubbery art room floor.
Sukoyaka's eyes were tightly shut, and he was leaning with his arm against some railing by the staircase with his mouth slightly opened.
"Return to your individual classrooms, and you won't be punished any further," A Human's voice boomed inside all of their minds.
Another wave of electricity came over them.
"Now!" Sukoyaka barely managed to command.
Jayden forced himself to grab the remote controller from the hand warmer in his grey hoodie, and speedily entered a code into the controller. After he did this, he pressed one last button, which caused a feedback loop through the link to overload the communications systems and the devices used to punish them. This made them fall to the ground, limply lying there for roughly eight seconds.
When they rose to their feet, Jayden notified, "We have about two minutes before the authorities arrive."
When Lila, Sukoyaka, and Jayden were getting ready to run as fast as they could to the exit, Lila noticed that Krystal damaged her knee when she fell, and wasn't able to walk, "I'll carry you," She said to the four foot - eight inch butterfly as she effortlessly lifted her off her feet.
When they arrived at the door to the exit, Sukoyaka opened the mechanical door by manually unlocking the mechanism on the door that kept it tightly shut almost all the time. The door mechanically sighed as it was opened.
Jayden took another object out of his pocket - It was a biodegradable plastic bag with all of their tracking devices inside of them. He handed this bag to Sukoyaka. Sukoyaka took the devices, and ran in the other direction that they were going to deposit the tracking devices somewhere, so as to lead the Humans away from them.
Lila, while carrying Krystal, ran alongside Jayden. They would travel east, and wait in the woods next to the highway closest to them. There they would wait until Sukoyaka catches up with them, then they planned to continue east until they reached the deep woods, where they would be able to hide more easily.
