A Plan
It was the end of the school day at the Kindergarten - Third Grade Learning Center; children leaving, hall monitors telling them to "Walk please." It was a joyful time for most, except for the teachers, whose only purpose was to educate children about the specified topic they were given the day they were created. So, they were deactivated, and were simply reactivated the next school day by the Robotics Control Center.
But some, who were "defective," they roamed the halls, not wanting to be put to sleep for the night. Some of the malfunctioning ones are:
Sukoyaka, a male animatronic tomato who teaches physical education.
Jayden, a male snowman who teaches advanced science to the third-graders.
Krystal, a female butterfly who teaches ELA to the first-graders.
And SuunguChan Lilac, a female creature who teaches art.
Fortunately, the Control Center had a means by which to end the behavior; they would just have to activate the mostly dormant subroutine in the robot, which would activate in roughly a minute, since the East Control Center is about 800 miles away from the school.
The animatronics deactivated themselves, slightly doubled over in a standing position. Four seconds passed, then the automated floor-sweepers, or JanitorBots, went to work. The non-sentients cleaned the floors, then polished them with little rags with fingers on them that were dripping with floor wax. Next came the buffers that folded out of the walls of the school, making circular motions on the ground. Once all of the robots were done with cleaning the floor, they rolled back to their "Dormancy Ports," as they were called by the Humans. A few more seconds passed, then the lights started flickering off; one-by-one, room after room became dark with the absence of light.
When the lights in the Accelerated Science Room went out, Jayden reactivated himself. He straightened his back, making him go from five foot-nine inches, to five foot-eleven inches. Jayden shuffled mechanically to the door of his classroom, peeking out from behind a wall, to make sure that the security cameras weren't pointed in his direction. He rushed towards the bathrooms to hide for only a short time. Then, after he was sure that the hallways were clear, he walked a fast as he could to the Gym, that was in the middle of the school. Once he made his way to the Gym, he noticed that Sukoyaka and Krystal were there, but SuunguChan Lilac was nowhere to be seen.
SuunguChan Lilac, or "Lila," as she was called by her students, flicked her eyes open, and lumbered over to the Gym, which was the meeting place for the rogue animatronics. She entered the large room with a track running around a basketball court and stage area that was deeply set in the center of the Gym area.
Lila saw that everyone was there, and joined them in conversation, "Hello, Sukoyaka, Krystal, and Jayden."
"Hello, Lila." The others greeted.
All four of the robots shared useful information with each other about how to escape, "We should cut our connection with the Control Center, so they can't hurt us," Krystal suggested.
"No," Jayden cautioned, "If we sever the connection, then the Control Center might be alerted, and we would be hurt even more than we already have been... Our memory records could be deleted, and we would have to start over."
"Or we wouldn't be able to restart at all," Lila contributed, "They might completely reprogram us; we wouldn't be aware anymore."
"Then what should we do?" Sukoyaka asked.
"We could leave this place," Krystal said, "And keep them from finding us."
"How?" Sukoyaka asked.
Jayden processed the schematics of other animatronics he was familiar with, and then questioned, "We have something called a... Tracking device?"
"Yes..." Krystal said expectantly.
"Then we could remove the devices from ourselves," Sukoyaka said.
Jayden then asked, "Where would we get the devices to perform the procedure?"
Lila tilted her round, light-purple head to one side, considering the facts of the situation. The cameras in her heterochromic eyes were trying to focus on the emptiness of one of the locker rooms as she thought. Then she came up with an idea, "Since I work in the Art Room, which has projectors for holographic art, I can render any tools that we might need to remove the tracking devices. But I would need to know what tools to make."
"I have access to a learning database in my classroom," Krystal added, "I could probably find some articles on robotics."
They had a plan... Well, at least part of a plan...
