Mr. Levi James Desmott - July 25, 1882

Dear Miss Holbrook,

I hope this letter finds you well. The weather has been particularly cheerful these past few days. This morning I found myself yearning for a stroll. I know we left off our conversation at an odd spot and I would like to speak to you at length without the pressure of you having someone else to attend to. I do not mean to be forward in my asking you this: but, might I come calling on you this Friday morning so that we might go and see it for ourselves? If riding is perhaps more appealing to you I could arrange for that instead? I shall leave the details up to you.

Sincerely,
