Sasuke's Past.

"Sasuke isn't allergic to anything." His mother laughed as she walked out of the room.

Shit. He thought as he pretended to be asleep. Hinata put the vase back as she sat by him.

She blushed a bit as she had finally seen his actual sleeping face for the first time.

Cute. She thought as she placed her hand on his cheek.

What is she doing? He thought as he felt the warmth of her hand.

She moved her thumb as a way of caressing him. She then noticed his hair, she knew he didn't really like when people touched it but now that he was asleep, she was sure he wouldn't mind.

Her hand moved up as she ran his fingers through his hair, he hate to admit it but it felt nice. It caused him to send goosebumps throughout his body which had also made him feel sleepy.

"Sasuke-kun." He heard as he looked around waiting for the familiar voice to speak again.

"Don't go." He got an idea of where the voice led as he walked towards a door where light was shining through the cracks.

Don't open the door.

He knew what lied on the other side.

Don't open the goddam door.

His body moved on its own as his hand began to reach for the doorknob. What was once his favorite song was playing in the background as he saw her about to climax while the man continued to thrust inside of her. As he yelled inaudible words he saw the devilish smirk on the man's face as he saw her quickly reach for the bed sheets to cover herself.

"This isn't what it looks like." She reached out towards him only for him to back away.

Bullshit. That was utter bullshit. The most common used phrase to defend what she knew dam well what she was doing.

"Sorry." The man said which caused him to punch him.

"Sasuke-kun, calm down!" She tried to hold him back as her half naked body pressed against him making it worse as he pushed her back, beating the man senseless until he felt his mother wrapped her arms around him.

"Sasuke, it's alright. It's alright, enough!" His mother held him as for the first time she had seen her son crying.

"It's not." He said as she grabbed his hand and led him out.

"Sasuke-kun, don't go!" The girl cried out tripping over her clothes as the man laid unconsciously on the ground.

"I want you out of my house, NOW!" His mother came back as she threw a suit case at the girl.

He laid down as his room had become a field of sunflowers.

"Pretty nice, isn't it?" He turned his head to see his student.  She smiled brightly reaching her hand towards the sky.

"You can wake up now." She said as he looked confused.

"He's been asleep for more than half an hour now, isn't the anesthesia supposed to wear off by now?" He heard a worried voice causing him to slowly open her eyes.

"You're right." His mother said concerned as she held his hand.

"Patience, it was a tumor after all." The doctor reassured them as he opened his eyes fully seeing them looked relieved. He sat up as he held his head noticing it was covered in bandages.

"You're alright." Hinata hugged him which took him by surprise.

Normally, he would have pushed her off but in the case he rested his face into her shoulders.

"Sorry to have worried you." He said causing Mikoto to looked shockingly happy.

Hinata, I truly believe you'll be the one to change my son. She thought as she rose up to also hug her son.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked.

"Better." He said.

The doctor explained that however, Sasuke needed to stay a couple days for treatment and tests before they released him home.

"That's alright, then." He said.

Suddenly her watch buzzed as she panicked saying she would be late for school.

"I'll visit you later." She said as he nodded.

His mother sat next to him again as the doctor was called out of the room.

"Your father will be here soon." She said as he sighed and rested his head.
AFTER SCHOOL HOURS
She leaned against the window as class had ended. She had recalled earlier what his mother had discussed with her earlier while Sasuke was in surgery.

That he was engaged.

To a woman who didn't value him enough which resulted in her cheating on him-

"Is everything alright?" She noticed the class was empty as everyone had left.

"Oh, sorry Kakashi-sensei! I'll leave right away!" She began picking up her things and stuffing them in her bag.

"It's alright, there's no need to rush." He laughed at her awkwardness.

She sighed as she sat back down this time, calmly placing her things in her bag.

"Is there something troubling you?" He asked as she swayed her head from side to side.

"No, I was just a bit worried about Uchiha-Sensei that's all." She laughed nervously.

"Ah, I heard he would be out for a couple days so I'll be substituting in the meantime."  He said.

"Oh, really? That's good." She smiled at him.

"May I ask a personal question, Hyuga-san?" He said.

"Oh-uh-sure!" She felt her heart rate increasing.

"What is your relationship with Uchiha?"He asked.

M-My relationship?

She thought for a second as if she had revealed their situation she would most likely get him fired.

"We have no relationship, he just tutors me after school." She said calmly making herself sound believable.

"I've seen your grades, you are top of the class especially in English, why would you need tutoring?" He asked.

"Oh, he tutors me in math sometimes when I need help or just trying to get better." She laughed nervously hoping this conversation would end soon.

"If you needed help with math you could've asked me, I'm your math teacher after all." He raised a brow.

"You always seemed pretty busy, I assumed you didn't want to be bothered." She said.

"Nonsense, I'm always glad to help my student." He reaches for a chair as he motioned her to sit next to him.

Dam it, now I'll actually have to do math. She sighed as she went to sit down.

"Now, what's troubling you?" He said as she took out her notebook.

To be honest, she was really good at math due to all her studying at home and it was a bit true on the Sasuke tutoring her part she had made up, as he did tutor her a bit and remind her to do homework while they were at home.

She pointed to a random problem on the page as he began explaining it to her but her mind filled with worry as she wondered how Sasuke was doing.

"Hinata?" He said as she snapped out of her trance.

"Huh? Oh uh- the quadratic formula?!" She said as he laughed.

It took her by surprise as she had never really seen her teacher laugh really hard until now that is.

"Hey, Kakashi-sensei?" She smiled at him as she was a bit curious about something.

"Yes?"

"How come you always have your face covered?" She said as he smiled through his mask.

"Are you curious to see what I look like?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Kinda of."She said a bit nervous as she had heard rumors that he had some scary face underneath or that he was trying hard to cover up a pimple that wouldn't go away. Others said he was just sick all the time and didn't want to contaminate anyone.

He sighed as he adjusted himself. He pulled his mask down revealing...

"Another mask?!" She literally felt like a brick fell on top of her head.

"That's not fair, Kakashi-sensei!" She pouted.

"Sorry, Hinata-chan. Maybe some other time." He pat her head as he left.

"Oh, Kakashi-sensei?" She called out before he closed the door.

"Hm?" He turned around.

"Thank you..for tutoring me that is and for asking if I was okay." She bowed.

He suddenly lowered his mask causing her to look shocked.

"Anytime."

She had finally seen it.
HOSPITAL
"I'm telling you I saw his face!" She said again as Sasuke bit into the apple slices she bought him.

"So, he doesn't have some huge pimple he's been trying to hide?" He said causing her to laugh.

"No, he's a normal human being with a normal face." She said.

"Sasuke, I'm ba-." They turned to see a man at the doorway.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you had a visitor." He said.

"It's alright, this is my student." He said as Hinata got up.

"Hello, sir. My name is Hinata Hyuga, it's nice to meet you." She stoke her hand out as he didn't reach for it.

"Fugaku & likewise." He passed her as she put her hand down out of embarrassment.

Nice to know where Sasuke got his manners from.

She sighed as she turned back to see Fugaku talking to Sasuke as he ignored her presence.

"Hinata-chan." She heard causing her to turn around to see Mikoto holding two cans of juice.

She walked towards her as she smiled.

"Sorry about that. I told him the news about you two living together and he wasn't pretty pleased about it." She sat down with her outside.

"It's alright, it's understandable I guess." She said as she knew if her parents were still alive they would be pretty against her living with a boy.

"He's just afraid." She spoke softly.

"Remember what I said earlier today, about his ex-spouse?" She said as Hinata nodded.

"He's afraid to see Sasuke hurt himself again. We loved that girl, we thought she was the one. Fugaku loved her like she was his own but boy were we wrong." She said as Hinata looked towards the room where he saw his dad smiling as Sasuke looked content himself.

Was that what it felt like to have a family? She wanted to remember that feeling. The feeling of having her dad beside her trying to protect her from boys because he didn't want to see her heart break into two. The feeling of having her mother comfort her when she hurt herself by accident or just when they were talking about their day over hot chocolate.

"I heard your parents died in a car crash, I'm sorry to hear about that." She said as Hinata shook her head.

"I see you've heard that story." She sighed placing her hand to her head.

"What do you mean?" Mikoto sounded confused.

"My parents.. they didn't die in a car crash. They died in a fire trying to protect me. The media came out with that story because the fire was left unexplained as no one knew what had caused it." She said as she looked a bit sad as she remembered many news outlets trying interviewing her at just 5 years old before child protective services decided to show up and help the crying child.

"Oh, I'm sorry I shouldn't have bought it up!" Mikoto apologized as Hinata shook her head again.

"It's alright, I think it's better to let you know the truth." She said as Mikoto smiled and wrapped her arms around her.

"Well, I think I should thank your parents one day for making you into the wonderful girl you are today." Hinata felt tears running down her cheeks as she was starting to remember her own mothers embrace.

"Thank you." She said as Mikoto wiped her tears.

They looked up to see Fugaku who looked at her with a bit of worry.

"Is everything alright?" He said as Mikoto nodded.

"Yes, come sit!" She said as Hinata got up and went inside the room.

"Wai-." He reached for her only to have a hand in-front of him. He looked to his wife.

"Let them be." She said as he looked annoyed.

"I don't like it." He said.

"I know."

"I'm going to complain about it." He said.

"I know."

"I'm just-."

"Scared? I know." She said as she held his hand and smiled at him.

"I know you too well." She laid her head on his shoulder as he sighed remembering his conversation with Sasuke before Hinata had arrived.

"What do you mean you're living with her?!" He yelled as Mikoto tried to calm him down.

"It was the landlord's mistake." He said.

"You have a good job right now, if the school finds out about this do you know how much trouble you can be in?!" He yelled again.

"Dear, calm down." She said.

"How can we be calm about this? What if she ruins our son's life?!" He said.

"Tou-san." Sasuke raised his voice.

"This is my choice." He looked at him straight in his eyes.

"Don't tell me you're starting to develop some sort of friendship with her." He said as the room went silent.

"Could you possibly....be starting to like her?" His mother broke their silence as he looked down at his hand remembering the warmth when she had held them for the first time. He looked out the window before sighing and turning back at them.

"Yes."
