Apartment B.

"Uchiha-sensei?!" Hinata lifted herself from the couch.

"I'll ask you again, what are you doing in my apartment?" He looked at them both up and down.

They're that couple from earlier.

He thought to himself as Naruto lifted himself off from the couch.

"This is Hinata's apartment, not yours." He said as he walked back into his room and dangled the keys from his fingertips.

"Apartment B." He said as Hinata looked at her key.

"Apartment B, also." She showed them the key as Sasuke examined them both.

"There's got to be something wrong here, obviously." He said as he took Hinata's hand.

"Hey! Where are we going?!" She asked him as he practically dragged her along to the elevator.

"Hey! Wait up!" Naruto called out but Sasuke hit the close button leaving them both alone.

"Hey! Why'd you close the door on him?" Hinata tried to defend him.

"He's annoying and loud, he'll only get in our way." Sasuke replied.

Hinata looked him up and down.

I don't see what others see in him, he's just another douche bag if you ask me.

The elevator opened after a long silent ride. They walked towards the main lobby where the woman behind the desk looked a bit scared.

"Is something wrong?" She asked them.

"Yes, I believe you have given us the same apartment by accident." They both showed her their keys.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I'll speak to the-"Her face suddenly went pale as she remembered that their manager had decided to go into retirement.

"Well is there another apartment able then?" Naruto asked as he had finally caught up to them.

"I'll check." She said as she searched on the computer.

"I'm sorry, we don't have any left. I believe the option left is for you two to come to an agreement and one of you to move out." She said as they headed back to their apartment where Naruto had to leave after receiving a call.

This is so awkward. It's just the two of us.

Hinata felt that the whole world was on her shoulders as she had worked two part time jobs to be able to move to this place only for her to be homeless.

Of course he has nothing to worry about, he's a teacher. They have a good salary.

I don't get paid yet until they see if I'm a suitable teacher.

"Sensei, please let me stay here until I can make enough money to move out." She bowed.

"Are you stupid? If anyone finds out we're living together, a teacher and student, do you know what they will do to me?" He sounded angry which frightened her.

"If anyone finds out." She said which caused him to raise an eyebrow.

"Please, I have no where to go right now.Besides what are you going to do with two rooms?" She said as he smirked.

I rather not know.

"What about that boyfriend of yours from earlier?" He said in a harsh tone.

"Naruto? That's not my boyfriend. He's more like a brother to me." She said as he thought about it.

"Fine, on one condition."

"What is it?" She looked nervous.

"You must cook lunch for me everyday." He said which caused her face to look relieved.

"Huh? Did you think I was going to ask you to sleep with me? Don't worry, I wouldn't even dare to lay a finger on that worthless body of yours."

"Hey! Who said I would want to sleep with a useless idiot." She yelled.

"Watch your tone, Hyuga. Don't forget I'm letting you live here."

"Fine, I'll make you lunch." She said as he patted her head.

"That's a good girl." He said as he walked into the living room.

He pulled a piece of blank paper from the newspaper and walked back to where she was.

"What is this?" She said as he had a marker in his hand.

"If we're going to be living together, we're going to need some ground rules."

"I see, okay."

"Alright, number one: Never tell anyone that we're living together." He wrote down.

"Two: Don't go into each other's rooms." Hinata stated as he thought but then wrote it down.

"Three: Don't talk to each other in school unless it's for educational purposes. Also, no physical contact." He wrote down.

"Four: No guests." He said.

"Eh?! What about birthday's!" She said as hers was coming up soon.

"Celebrate it somewhere else. I mean it. Don't invite anyone, especially that Naruto guy." He said as she raised an eyebrow.

"Naruto is a good guy. Why are you being so hard on him?" She said.

"I don't trust him." He hung up the rules with a magnet on the fridge.

"Well, I trust him." She said.

"Good for you, I don't want him around here." He said as he slipped into his shoes and walked towards the entrance.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"Out." He said as he slammed the door behind him.

What a prick.

She carried her boxes towards her room as she began to unpack and place things in the way she wanted them.

She picked up a picture frame of her previous family. Being traveled from foster home to foster home, was no fun. It was hard to find a family who wanted to settle down with her and not abandon her so to protect herself, she sealed her heart and promised not to let anyone in. That way, she will never be hurt again.

She had finished unpacking around 9.

"It's getting late." She said as she walked towards her bed only to be knocked out in 5 minutes.

He stumbled his way through the doorway as all the lights had been turned off.

Did that idiot not think I would return?

He sighed as his hand touched the wall before finding the light switch and flicking it on.

He noticed the boxes from earlier were no longer there but that the door to her room was left open.

Idiot, what if it wasn't me that came in right now.

He walked towards her room as he saw her awkward sleeping position which made him laugh a bit but ended up closing the door.

He placed the rest of his groceries from his trip out on the table.
Morning
She lifted herself up from her bed as her alarm rang.

She slammed the alarm button as it was annoying as could be.

"That's right, I have to make that asshole's lunch." She yawned as she was about to knock on his door only to see the dozen of groceries he had left on the table.

"Nevermind." Her question had been answered.

"I'm assuming since he bought these that they're everything he likes." She said as she opened the bags only for what seemed like 100 tomatoes roll out.

"WHY ARE THERE SO MANY TOMATOES?!" She yelled as that had awaken a natural instinct in him as he walked out of his room.

"Be careful with those." He said as he hit her head for being so careless.

"That bag must've been holding on for its dear life." Hinata said to herself as she picked them up.

"I guess I could make something with these." She said as he had disappeared from the kitchen.

She finished making his bento as she wrapped it in a small blue cloth.

"Here." She handed it to him.

"Thanks." He accepted it as he left.

She grabbed her backpack and followed him shortly afterwards.

"9 meters." He said.

"What?" She said confused.

"Walk 9 meters away from me, the last thing I need is for someone to see us walking out from the same place." He said as she sighed but agreed.

She ended up spotting a certain blonde waiting at the corner.

"Ah! Naruto-kun!" She waved as he turned back to wave back also.

"Hina, let's go!" He said as he grabbed her arm and pulled her close.

"Hey, want to make a quick stop before we head to school?" He said as she looked at her wrist watch then agreed.

"She's not going anywhere with you." She felt a hand on her shoulder as she turned around to see Sasuke.

"Why? You're not her father last time I checked." Naruto replies aggressively.

"You're going to make her late for my class." He said as he separated them and pulled Hinata away.

"I'm sorry, Naruto. Maybe next time?" She said as he didn't mutter a word.

"He's right, you know. You're not my dad." She said as she walked close to him which surprised her that he wasn't making any complaints.

"I don't care. I don't trust him so stop defending him." He replied as they arrived at the school gates where they separated from each other.

Back at where Naruto stood, he felt stupid and alone.

I definitely have to confess to her soon.
