Peter ran around in a frenzy until he finally found Han and raced to his side. "He took her! Did you see that? He took her. She's gone!"
Han sighed as he also saw what happened, angered at the fact he froze up. "Yeah, yeah, I know..."
And he and Chewie head off, leaving Peter to look up at the disappearing shuttle in worry. Han moves toward a Resistance Transport landing in the debris. BB-8 rolls up beside him, in wait for the transport. Han's fade grew concerned as he knew exactly what was about to happen.
Finally, the transport door opens. A handful of troops scattered and tried to secure the area. Han just stood at the only person who stayed behind, standing there is Leia. Teresa also exited the ship and chased off to find her brother in the chaos.
Leia stood there as she sees Han and is stunned. With a silent beat, husband and wife reunited for the first time in years. In the smoke and embers, no one says a word.
Then C-3P0 walks out from the transport, and into the field in between the two. "Goodness! Han Solo! It is I, C-3P0!" he then looked downward at his red robotic arm. "You probably don't recognize me because of the red arm." He then looks over to Leia, not relaxing. He's making things awkward. "Look who it is! Did you see who?" Then he noticed the looks between the two of them. "Oh. Excuse me, Prin- uh, General. Sorry. Come along, BB-8. Quickly."
BB-8 beeps at his friend as they made their way away.
"Yes, I must get my proper arm reinstalled." He said as he hurries off.
Finally, the two of them were alone again.
"You changed your hair." Han took notice of this.
Leia scoffed and gestured to his jacket. "Same jacket."
"No, new jacket." Han corrected as he pulled on it a little.
Chewie was glad to see Leia, walking up and groans as he greeted her with a hug. Leia smiled as she hugged her friend as she missed him over the years.
"Hey, Chewie." Leia greeted as she pat him on the back.
Chewie moans a few words, look at Han then boards the ship. It is complicated and loving and painful.
"I saw him." Han sighed. "Leia, I saw our son. He was here."
Leia hears this and sighed as she looked around the area. She then looked and noticed Peter was looking up to the sky with Teresa approaching him.
Teresa walked over to her brother and surprised him with a hug. "Oh, I'm so glad you're okay."
"Oh, Teresa." Peter was glad to see his sister, up to the point she hit him.
"You idiot!" Teresa cried as she hit him a few more times for good measure. "You said you were gonna be safe!"
"Yeah, I always say that. Yet you're always surprised when I'm not," Peter commented as he rubbed the area where he was hit. "We sure you're not super strong?"
"No, but I'm super pissed!" Teresa stated as she then dragged him away. "Come on."

The Falcon and surviving X-Wings roar past as they exit hyperspace and make their way toward the Resistance home world. They needed to regroup and figure out what their next move was going to happen next against the First Order. The ships were descending among grassy mounds and sunken structures.
Peter smiled as he walked around the base and looked at the grass mounds covering the hangers, beneath the odd, giant trees. The Resistance ground crew directs an X-Wing to a landing. In the foreground, another X-Wing canopy opens, and a pilot climbs out.
Peter recognized the black X-Wing and was trying to see if he could get a better look at who was flying it. Then BB-8 speeds right past him, almost knocking him down watches as BB-8 rolls over to the pilot coming out of the black mark X-Wing.
When the pilot took off the helmet it revealed that it was indeed Peter's one friend in the place.
IT'S POE!
Peter couldn't believe what he was seeing. And Poe, kneeling in for a warm reunion with BB-8. "BB-8, my Buddy!" He then kneeled and listened and reacts to something the droid tells him. "Pete rescued you? Where's Peter? He here with you?"
Poe looks up and sees Peter and he was so glad to see his best friend. In the distance, Peter gestures in sheer amazement that Poe is alive. He has a feeling that was him over the battlefield, but to see him here and now is amazing to him.
"Poe?" Peter asks in shock.
Poe smiled as he stood up and caressed BB-8's head and stood up. "Peter!"
"Poe!" Peter cried as he raced through the resistance and tried to make it toward his friend.
"Pete!" Poe met his friend halfway.
"You're alive!" Peter cried as he hugged his best friend.
"So are you!" Poe cried as he hugged his friend.
"What happened to you?" Peter asks him as they break up.
"What happened? I got thrown from the crash, woke up at night - no you, no ship, nothing." Poe explains when he realized what Peter was wearing. "That's my jacket?"
Peter looked and almost forgot he was wearing it, taking it off and handing it to his friend. "I have no idea how you wear that thing all the time."
Poe rolled his eyes and took his jacket and watched Peter walk off. "Hey, where you going?"
"There's someone I gotta save." Peter proclaimed as he ran through the base to find Leia.
Moving fast across the base, the two make it to the makeshift command center, buried deep among vines and roots. They arrive at Leia, who stands with a group of Resistance Officers.
"General Organa. Sorry to interrupt, but I need to talk with you." Peter made his way over to her.
"And I need to talk with you." Leia agreed and waved off the generals. "I'm so glad that you're safe. I was so worried."
"And I appreciate that Leia, but right now I need your help," Peter told her. "A friend of mine who helped me was captured."
Leia nodded and had that strange smile on her face. "Oh, trust me, Han told me all about the girl."
Peter scoffed at that and rolled his eyes. "Alright, so now you understand why I need to save her."
"And I'll do anything I can to help you accomplish that," Leia promises him. "But from what I've heard, we need your help with the Base. And I'm told your lightsaber-"
"Not a lightsaber." Peter was getting tired of correcting people on that.
"-Was broken," Leia recalled what she learned.
"Teresa told on me, didn't she?" Peter asks as he showed her his broken weapon.
"Well, someone has got to save your skin," Teresa replied as she walked up and huddled up with them. "They're ready."
Chewbacca sits on a bed in the med bay.
Dr. Kalonia uses a device to help heal his shoulder. "That sounds very scary."
Chewbacca then growls and snorts.
"You must be so brave."
Chewie agrees with a nod.
C-3P0 takes the data device from BB-8 and inserts it into a base computer. The projected map appears in a hologram, similar to the back of the Falcon. Leia enters, studying it, dispirited when she saw it was a piece.
"General, I regret to inform you. But this map recovered from BB-8 is only partially complete." 3P0 tells the general and showed them the portion of the map. "And even worse, it matches no charted system on record. We simply do not have enough information to locate Master Luke."
"I can't believe I was so foolish to think that I could just find Luke and bring him home." Leia sighed in defeat as she walked off.
"Leia..." Han tried to comfort her.
"Don't do that," Leia warned him as she walked off.
Han was confused as he tried to follow her. "Do what?"
"Anything." Leia proclaimed.
Flummoxed, Han follows looking at C-3P0. "Princesses."
Han ignored him and follows Leia across the base. "I'm trying to be helpful!"
"When did that ever help?" Leia questions him and quickly stopped him. "And don't say the Death Star."
"They remind you of anyone?" Teresa asks as she eyed Poe.
"Nope." Poe denied anything and moved on.
BB-8 as he rolls over and finds, under a dark and dusty tarp in a corner, R2-D2. BB-8 beeps at R2 pulls off the tarp and tries to start a conversation. But R2 doesn't respond at all. BB-8 tries again. Nothing. BB-8 nudges R2.
"BB-8. You're wasting your time." BB-8 looks up at C-3P0, who stands there. C-3P0 sighed. "It is very doubtful that R2 would have the rest of the map in his backup data."
BB-8 beeps.
"I am afraid not." 3P0 was sorry to say. "R2-D2 has been in low power mode ever since Master Luke went away. Sadly, he may never be his old self again."
"Listen to me, will you?" Leia hears the change in Han's voice and softens. "I know every time you... every time you look at me, you're reminded of him."
"You think I want to forget him?" Leia questions him. "I want him back!"
Han looks at her with sympathy. "There was nothing we could've done." This was hard for him to say. "There was too much Vader in him."
"That's why I wanted him to train with Luke." Leia thought of the past. "I just never should have sent him away. That's when I lost him. That's when I lost you both."
"We both had to deal with it in our own way." Han sighed. "I went back to the only thing I was ever good at."
"We both did," Leia commented as she looked around.
"We lost our son, forever." Han was sorry to say.
"No. It was Palpatine." Leia said as Han takes this in and sighed. "He seduced our son to the dark side. But we can still save him. Me. You."
Han was skeptical about her request. "If Luke couldn't reach him, how could I?"
"Luke is a Jedi... you're his father," Leia explains why she believes it. "There's still light in him. I know it."
General Statura came up to them, ruining the moment. "General, the reconnaissance report on the enemy base is coming."

Rey wakes, disoriented. She is in an angled, upright on a restraining rig within the Starkiller Base. Looks over, startled to see Kylo Ren, mask in place, standing there.
"Where am I?" Rey asks him.
Ren stood there in complete silence for a good second. "You're my guest."
"Where are the others?" Rey was worried for her friends.
"You mean the murderers, traitors, and thieves you call friends?" Ren asks as Rey stares at him in worry. "You'll be relieved to hear that I have no idea."
He was right. Rey was happy to know that since if he didn't, then that means they were safe. Rey studies him. She's fearful... but curious.
"You still want to kill me." Ren seemed to notice the obvious.
"That happens when you're being hunted by a creature in a mask," Rey replied in anger.
Kylo Ren stops, considers her... then reaches up, unlatches, and removes his mask. Rey reacts, stunned. It takes a moment before she regains her own mask of defiance.
"Tell me about the droid," Ren demands calmly.
Rey was starting to become a nervous wreck. "He's a BB unit with a selenium drive and a thermal hyper scan vindicator-"
"He's carrying a section of a navigational chart." Ren interrupted her. "We have the rest, recovered from archives of the Empire. We need the last piece. And somehow, you convinced the droid to show it to you. You. A scavenger-" Rey reacts - afraid - how does he know she was a Scavenger? "You know I can take whatever I want."
Trepidation flashes across Rey's eyes. Kylo Ren moves closer, his hand rising toward her. She recoils but has nowhere to go. Kylo Ren nearly touched her face... after a moment, they were both surprised: they react to a feeling that passes between them - an energy they recognized in each other. Rey felt something similar when she first met Peter, but this one felt...darker.
And then it's gone. Adversaries again. Rey can't move, and quietly strains in agony, trying to resist Ren's probing.
"... You're so lonely... so afraid to leave..." Ren noticed and then started to get deeper. "At night, desperate to sleep... you imagine an ocean. I see it - I see the island..."
Tears stream down her face as she resists. She tries to break free, but can't budge.
"And Han Solo. You feel like he's the father you never had. He would've disappointed you." Ren continued when he found something deeper. "The boy." Rey started to panic a little, seeing he was looking at information about Peter. "He's told you want he is. A freak. And you still wish to protect him."
His hand was still on her face, her eyes fierce through the agony.
"Get out of my head!" Rey demanded him.
But this just makes Kylo lean closer. "I know you've seen the map. It's in there... and now you'll give it to me. Don't be afraid. I feel it too."
Where her strength comes from, she doesn't know, but she wasn't going to help him. "I'm not giving you anything."
"We'll see." Ren saw it as a matter of time.
He peers into her eyes intensely. She meets his gaze -despite the pain she was receiving, she was strong. On Ren's face as his confidence begins to melt away. He has slammed up against a barrier in her mind. He looks less certain by the moment as Rey seems to grow in strength. The ferocity of confrontation builds until it hits critical mass and Rey does the unthinkable! She enters his head, amazed at what she's seeing.
"... You... you're afraid... that you will never be as strong as... Darth Vader!" Rey was able to read off him.
Ren suddenly withdraws his hand, as if her face were red hot. He actually takes a step back, confused, and rattles. Rey's body is released, and she breathes deeply, her powerful eyes still on Kylo Ren, who starts to leave.
She resisted him. Only a handful of beings and people have the strength to do so.

"The scavenger resisted you?!" Palpatine asked in a hologram form.
"She's strong with the Force! Untrained, but stronger than she knows," Ren informed his Emperor.
"And the droid?" Palpatine wished to rid the universe of Skywalker.
Kylo Ren hesitates to reveal the truth. Then General Hux walked into the room.
"Ren believed it was no longer valuable to us," Hux informed the Emperor. Ren turns back to see Hux enters the large space, and move to the platform beside Ren. "That the girl was all we needed. As a result, the droid has most likely been returned to the hands of the enemy. They may have the map already."
Palpatine started to become visibly furious. "Then the Resistance must be destroyed before they can reach Skywalker."
"We have their location." Hux was happy to report. "We tracked their reconnaissance ship to the Ileenium system."
"Good," Palpatine said as he chuckled and leaned back. "Then we will crush them once and for all. Prepare the weapon."
Kylo Ren is stunned by the moment - that isn't what he meant at all. Hux walks out of the room so that he could give the order to attack.
"My Emperor. I can get the map from the girl. She is the key to finding the boy." Ren promises him. "I just need your guidance."
"If what you say about this girl is true, if she can lead us to the Parker boy... bring her to me." Palpatine wished to know just how she managed to resist Ren's training.
