Chapter 4
Okay, so, after that episode, my mind became a buzzing network. Trying to figure out who the person was. While my brain was on one of its many rounds, I strolled down the corridor. I didn't know where I was going nor did I care. I found myself outside the common room of Gryffindor. Was that someone a Gryffindor? Someone came out of the room. It was a girl. A third-year. She had blonde hair slung over one shoulder. She gazed up at me. "What's a Slytherin doing outside the Gryffindor classroom?"
"I'm Sullivan," I said, ignoring the girl's remark. She gazed at me for a few moments, and then, her eyes lit up.
"Oh, so you're Sullivan!" She said cheerfully. "I'm Saphira. Alder can't keep his mouth shut about you." I felt myself heat up.
"Oh he can't?" I asked.
"Yep! It's almost like-"
"That's enough outta you Saphira," Alder broke in before looking at me. "Sorry about her. She's a chatterbox."
"I see," I said. Saphira stormed off and Alder laughed. I also found his laugh cute.
"What are you doing here?" I looked away.
"To be perfectly honest, I don't know."
"Oh okay."
"We better get outta here before the prefect catches us."
"Let's go." We raced away from the common room. I was panting. "Where should we go?" I looked around.
"Let's go to the lake." And we went there sitting down on the grass. "This is calming," I said gazing at the lake. "And huge, I mean look at it!"
"Yeah, it's massive." Alder looked the lush green grass and smiled.
"What are you doing?"
"Looking at your eyes," he replied not removing his gaze from the grass.
"My eyes are up here," I said pointing to them. He removed his gaze from the grass.
"Your eyes are the grass, look at it. They're the same colour." I looked at the grass. Sure enough, it was the same shade. "And they're really pretty eyes." I felt my face heat up and I buried it in my robe.
"Well then, your eyes are the sky. Blue and radiant." I could've sworn he blushed slightly. Alder was smiling.
"Why thank you."
"You're a real theatric and that's a good thing." He grinned.
"Thanks."
"Romeo, Romeo where art thou Romeo?" I said dramatically and Alder laughed.
"You're not too bad yourself." I blushed.
"Alder! Stop it!"
"Just sayin'" I smiled.
"Look at us! Being all Theatrical in a school of magic."
"I know. It's probably a bit odd!" We both laughed. I had hardly noticed my heart was racing.
"Just because we're wizards doesn't mean we can't be theatrical."
"I'll be theatrical if I effing well want to!" Alder said. I laughed.
"Don't swear in front of Olls, he'll toast you!"
"Olls?"
"Oliver Fenning."
"Ah. Got it." He looked back at the ocean. "And I'll probably tone down my swearing in general."
"I should probably give Twiggy some oats." Alder looked back at me.
"I should also probably give Blitz some as well."
"Well, let's go together then." While we walked, my brain started putting things together, hopefully it was the last time.
"So.... have you always had Twigtalon?"
"Well, I've had him four years. I've had him my entire Hogwarts life."
"Nice phrasing."
"You think so?" I asked, feeling flattered.
"Yeah." I grinned stupidly, for some reason. We soon reached the owlery. Twigtalon flew over to me and hooted.
"Okay, give me a chance!" I gave him some owl oats and saw Alder struggling with Blitz and I walked over. "Need any help?"
"That'd be nice."
"Okay I'll hold the owl." I held Blitz, trying not to get hurt in the process and Alder fed him. It was at that point I realized something. The person my Patronus changed for was Alder...
