Lucian's POV

From the jack in port Katsuragi plugged another PET in there and the Navi that was in the second PET was sent to the cyberworld along with me.

Lucian: So you're the the Navi that was in the other PET.

Yagyu: Oh great her NetNavi's a boy, now I definitely know both of you are bad influences on my NetOp.

Lucian: At least my NetOp saved your NetOp's life so the least you can do is be thankful. As for me I'm trying to help to you control this inferno before it gets out of hand so be quiet and lead the way.

Yagyu: Hmph.

She then led me to where the oven comp is and I could feel the flames raging hard and along with it brought fire viruses and some viruses carrying machine guns and they were destroying the comp and making it burn.

Katsuragi: I never knew it was this bad.

Lucian: You're telling me...just how did these viruses manage to enter here?

Yagyu: Don't know the firewall should've been enough to keep them at bay so whoever made the firewall go down they'll pay for harming my NetOp!

She then charged at them until I grabbed her shoulder until she turned around and shouted at me

Yagyu: What?! Why're you holding me back?!

Lucian: Man you're really protective of your NetOp but you've got to calm down if you let your emotions get the better of you you'll just be deleted. Besides you need your NetOp to support you with battlechips you yourself alone isn't enough.

Yagyu: Ah!....well for that my NetOp....well I can materialize an umbrella that can work.

Lucian: I can surmise that she doesn't battle let alone have any battlechips. As for an umbrella...well that's a start I guess.

Lucian: *sigh* All right then Katsuragi give Yagyu the battlechips to support her while I deal with most of the viruses myself.

Katsuragi: You sure? Cause I don't want you to get hurt and be deleted.

Lucian: I'll be all right trust me. So go on and give her backup!

I got my battlechips and placed my PET on the ground while I took Hibari's and installed the battlechips in.

Katsuragi: Get ready to strike Yagyu.

Yagyu: Fine.

Katsuragi: Battlechip Shotgun! Slot in!

Her arm changed into a shotgun and I saw that her eye widened by that and she fired the shot.

Yagyu: What did you do to my arm?!

Katsuragi: Relax it's just a battlechip your arm will turn back to normal.

It was then Yagyu's arm returned to normal.

Yagyu: Hmm...interesting.

Katsuragi: Here goes Battlechip Sword! Slot In!

Yagyu's arm changed into a sword and she began to charge at the viruses slicing them away. As for Lucian he kept dodging the viruses and began to shoot at them causing them to be deleted.

Lucian: (There's too many of them and with Katsuragi backing Yagyu up with Battlechips I don't have much artillery to work with.)

Yagyu: There has to be a way clear them out quickly...delinquent let me handle this on my own supply your Navi with the chips I think I may know how to fight on my own.

Katsuragi: I'm not a delinquent...and are you sure?

Yagyu: Positive. Now go!

I placed Hibari's PET on the ground and grabbed mine however I noticed something new about it there was some sort of data placed there that said Data Chips. (Keyword)

Katsuragi: Data Chips? What's that?

I pressed the button and I saw a chip that I never had before

PET: Data Chip Cannon Download.

Lucian: Cannon locked and ready...aim and fire!

I aimed the cannon to where most of the viruses gathered and I began to shoot at them.

Lucian: (This weapon is fast and heavy in power I can take out a majority with this alone.)

I began to shoot most of the viruses and I saw the Victory Data I quickly ran up to it and got Zenny and more Data Chips.

Lucian: Perfect. We did it!

Yagyu: Hmph...! Look out.

Yagyu quickly got in front of me and opened up her umbrella and quickly spun it around to deflect most of the bullets.

???: Aww and just when things were about to go boom. You two ruin it.

Yagyu: Who's there?

???: Mirai I think it's time you disposed of those two Navis. Then after that return back we already have what we needed.

Mirai: Yes Mistress Haruka.

Yagyu: So you're the one who's done this. Unforgivable...unforgivable...unforgivable! I'll never let you get away with this. Haah!

She began to run at her and Mirai began to shoot at her with machine guns hidden within her skirt and charged at her. I began to notice that Yagyu was slowing down until she came to a complete stop.

Yagyu: Nngh...body...so heavy...can't move.

Mirai: Ahahaha! How's that? My Gravity Mach Gun slows you down making it easy to delete pesky nuisances now time for deletion.

Katsuragi: Not while I have something to say about it! Battle Chip Shotgun! Slot in!

I installed my Battlechip to my PET and Lucian's arm changed into a shotgun and began to shoot at her.

Mirai: Oh a male Navi they are certainly becoming rare these days especially with what happens when we deal with them.

Lucian: What you got something against male NetNavis?

Haruka: No not really they just make fine puppets behold.

Mirai then raised her hand and from them I saw lifeless male NetNavis.

Yagyu: Oh my god...

Lucian: What in the?....You're sick and twisted. Katsuragi it's time we ended their ways once and for all.

Katsuragi: But what about the Netbattle License?

Lucian: If it's to save a life then forget the rules and go straight through!

She quickly made the lifeless NetNavis attack while Lucian began to run as I installed the Battlechip he quickly sliced through them all while Mirai began to run at him and her NetOp installed a new Battlechip.

Haruka: Battlechip Gravity Sword! Slot in!

Her arm transformed into a purple sword and we both ran at each other to deliver a slice as we passed through each other, both of us looked at each other and I fell to the ground.

Lucian: Ungh!

Katsuragi: Lucian!

Haruka: My, my a new male for my puppet collection.

Katsuragi: Heh you may want to take a look at your NetNavi

Haruka: Hm? Huh!

Mirai: Nngh! Impossible! How could I mess up?!

Lucian's slice cut right through her torso causing Haruka to panic.

He quickly ran at Mirai and I saw a notification for a Data Chip and pressed it.

Lucian: Lightning? Perfect.

He was almost about to catch her but she successfully jacked out.

Haruka: My, my what an interesting NetNavi he could be of good use in our organization.

Lucian: There's no way I'll join your ranks!

Katsuragi: Yeah he would never become a part of your organization!

I couldn't sense her presence anymore and looked to Katsuragi's direction.

Lucian: Grr...I'm sorry Katsuragi she got away

Katsuragi: It's fine and the fire's died down so I can take solace from that.

Lucian: How's your friend?

Katsuragi: Still knocked out unfortunately.

Yagyu:...You two aren't so bad...so...thanks for saving Hibari.

It was then the ambulance and the Officials (Keyword) arrived they saw Hibari on the ground and the medics picked her up and placed her in the ambulance while I jacked Yagyu out and placed her PET on Hibari's hands.

Lucian: Likewise and Yagyu must be worried sick about her.

Officer: Excuse us young lady but please come with us.

Katsuragi: I didn't do anything wrong honest.

Lucian: She's right we're innocent in this.

???: Don't worry you two are not in trouble. We just want to question you of what transpired now.

Katsuragi: Oh okay then.

Lucian: That doesn't seem so bad.

???: Speaking of which you Netbattled correct?

Katsuragi: *gulp*

Lucian: (Uh oh!)

???: Relax you Netbattled to save a life so you are excused from getting a fine for battling without a License.

Katsuragi: Phew yes sir we did indeed Netbattle against a Navi called Mirai.

???: Oh great her again.

Lucian: Again?

???: She's a very troublesome NetNavi along with her NetOp they deleted nearly all of the male Navis in the Asakuza Areas.

Lucian: Woah that's insane! But why?

???: She uses the lifeless Navis to do her dirty work and we can't apprehend them since they are lifeless. However since you're the first male Navi to survive there's a high chance she'll come after you again.

Lucian: Wait how do you know all of that?

???: A video transmission one of our male recruits sent until he was deleted and now we stepped up security in the Officials Headquarters meaning any male Navis that's deleted is unregistered from HQ Officials ranks making our lives easier since the enemy could gain access to HQ without being detected and grab ahold of every single data we have.

Lucian: Good call on that and um...I had to slice through the lifeless Navis when she controlled them I'm sorry if some of them was part of the Official's team.

???: It's all right they served the Officials and are honored as heroes.

Lucian: That's nice to hear.

???: Now let's take you down to the station young lady so we can give you a registered Netbattle license. Meanwhile your Navi is going to be questioned for what Mirai done.

Lucian: Well congratulations on getting your new Netbattle License.

Katsuragi: Thanks Lucian okay then let's get going to HQ.

I got on the car and we drove off to the HQ and the size of the building is huge it looked like it could touch the sky.

Katsuragi: Woah Lucian check it out!

Lucian: I've never seen it outside before.

Katsuragi: You were here before?

Lucian: Mmhm this is the place where your father programmed me however I never saw what it was like outside cause on the monitor when your father came and talked to me I could see only the sky I thought we were inside on a boat since the sky was only shown but it turns out I'm just in a really tall building.

Katsuragi: You think my father's there?

Lucian: Highly doubt it since he went to another country for a science meeting.

Katsuragi: Oh...right.

???: Okay here we are.

Katsuragi: Thank you.

I got off the car and went inside the HQ I looked around and saw people working behind the desk of the large lobby. People were on line asking about other things, I looked around in amazement until I felt an arm touch my back.

???: Come on let's go get you your new License. May I please have your PET?

Katsuragi: Sure.

I handed him my PET and we went into another room and from there he jacked Lucian into a monitor as for me I was brought to another room to have my picture taken. After waiting for about ten minutes the officer came out and handed me my PET.

Katsuragi: Thank you...um excuse me but where's my Netbattler License?

Lucian: You're holding it.

Katsuragi: Lucian you're my Netbattle license?

Lucian: Not exactly just press the second button.

I did as he told me and from there my profile showed up and my Netbattle License was shown however a badge was placed in there when I thought back to Homura her Netbattle license was physical and it showed no badge.

Katsuragi: What does the badge signify?

Lucian: This Netbattle License is special meaning that we're registered within the Ofiicials ranks.

Katsuragi: Eeh?! Hey hold on aren't I too young for this?

???: While you may be young to join the Officials ranks, you are the first civilian NetOp and NetNavi to battle against The Syndicate and seeing as how you two held your own against one of the members. By verdict of my superiors you are chosen to be part of the Officials rank.

Katsuragi: Woah that's a big responsibility.

Lucian: Katsuragi you have to operate me to the best of your ability.

Katsuragi: Yeah...so Lucian? Will you lend me your power?

Lucian: Sure I will.

???: Before I forget, I forgot to mention that there is another girl who's about your age who is also part of the Official ranks and she will be joining you on some missions here and there.

Katsuragi: All right then.

Lucian: What's their names along with yours since you never gave us your name.

???: I didn't? Wow forgive me for that my name is Superintendent Hikaraya at your service. Now as for the other two their names are....
