New Project

Luckily for me, Lillian left some of her spring clothes at the apartment so I was able to loan Ria a couple of items. I looked in the coroner of my eye, Ria holding out her hand as some of the cherry blossoms fell to the floor. "I've never been around her at spring," She sighed happily.

Even I have to admit, this is kind of cute. We're on our way back from the supermarket and I was wary in case anyone would spot us. I mean, how do I explain why I'm hanging around an attractive young girl? "So, when are you usually allowed out?" I questioned.

Ria looked to me with a confused look for a moment before carrying on. "Around harvest time, I suppose," She answered. "Though we are allowed on Earth at winter sometimes too. Though I've never been here around for, um, I think it's called Christmas."

"That's very specific," I mused, thinking for a moment. "Wait, the harvest festival? Did you used to come to festivals say about ten years ago?"

Ria thought for a moment, a finger on her chin. "You know, I think I may have," She answered but still not sure. "Though at the time I wouldn't have looked exactly human at the time. You see during the harvest festival I tend to get rabbit ears because it's when there's most magic around. Do you go to the festivals often?"

Those ears were real? Are you serious right now? I sighed placing a hand on my forehead, things are getting excited and confusing at the same time. "Yeah, my old man used to drag me to them all the time," I sighed taking my hand down with a smile. I heard Ria gasp and came to a halt as she jumped in front of me. "Is there something on my face?"

She shuck her head. "That smile," She giggled. "I like it when you show that smile." She giggled again, giving a half twirl, showing her back to me. "You have a lot of different smiles. I like all of them in one way or another but I like that one the best."

I laughed, using my knuckle to hit her on her head softly. "Come on, we better head home," I stated, walking past her. "I want to taste some more of these recipes you have." I'm sure Ria had a large smile as she grabbed my hand and started to pull me along.

Back at the apartment, we spent time cleaning it up, filling up the freezer and the cupboards and trying to make it look presentable ready for my old man's return in a couple of days. We also started some research into what this curse might be, Ria amazed by the technology, I guess there isn't much technology where she is from. Though seeing as she had mentioned 'magic' a couple of times it would make sense. I looked to the window, noticing the sun has started to set. I raised a brow looking over to Ria was had falling asleep slumped over the arm of the sofa. I wonder how (and if) she will change into the rabbit.

I sighed, turning off the laptop and reading for a blanket placing it over Ria. The logical part of me is telling me to call the police and report a potential runaway but then my gut is telling me, what if this is real? What if she really is stuck here and can't go home? The evidence points to it being real but who am I to say any of this is real?

In half an hour, the sun will go down and I'll have an answer. I smirked, wish you would have at least made me some dinner first but knowing an important answer is the priority here. I tired to not look at her to intensely, I cannot deny I fear if I take my eyes off her in case she does some weird trick. I let out a frustrated growl, turning of the television. Speaking of magic, the mentalist, Asagiri Gen, just so happens to be on the news. I guess he's touring again. I watched the segment, not really taking in the information when I noticed, the sun's down. My ears perked up hearing a yawn come from Ria, She sat up stretching, "Hmm, what time is it?"

"Sundown," I smirked. "And you've not-" I stopped midsentence as a poof a smoke enveloped Ria and the clothes she wore dropped off, a white rabbit being left in its place. I tried to hold in my laughter, my cheeks puffing out but I couldn't hold it. Ria is certainly the rabbit it seems. I felt something hit my legs, trying to get me to stop laughing. I took a deep breath, calming my laughter as Ria continued to hit me with her paw. I got her to stop as I picked her up, first checking her ear, yep it's there and then looked her in the eye. "Well this is exciting."

She started to shiver in fear at the sound of my voice. This little rabbit has just become my new project.
