The next morning, I woke up to my best friend leaning out of my bedroom window, threatening someone.

"Wha-" I groggily said, sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes with the back of my hand. I looked over to Sophie, trying to pull her sister away from my window, with a frown. "What's going on?" I asked as I got up and walked over to them. Rina whipped her head to me and glared.

"What are those assholes doing in that house?" She demanded while pointing to Nathan's bedroom window. I blinked, still half asleep, and looked over to where she was pointing to and saw Nathan and Jake looking extremely amused while Alec just smiled apologetically at me. I smiled back sleepily at him and looked back to Rina who was fuming at this point.

"Well, Nathan is my neighbor so-" I managed to rasp out before she cut me off. "Who is your what now!" She yelled so loud, I lost my balance and fell on my butt.

Well, that woke me up.

I winced and looked up at her. Sophie looked at me with wide eyes and immediately came to my help like the sweet person she is, while Rina turned her attention to Jake who was laughing his ass off.

"What the hell are you laughing at asshole?" She yelled while giving him the meanest glare she could muster. Jake held up his index finger, telling her to wait a minute while leaning into Nathan,who was laughing just as hard, for support. Even Alec was smiling now.

"Gee, thanks for the confidence boost, guys, really appreciate it." I said as I struggled to get up with Sophie's help.

"Oh man, that was the funniest thing I've seen in a while." Jake wheezed out, still out of breath from laughing.

"Yeah, we should have recorded it, it would have gotten a million views." Nathan replied, as he wiped tears out of his eyes.

"Hey!" I yelled, a frown forming on my lips as I placed my hands on my hips, glaring at them along with Rina, although my glare was nowhere as deadly as hers.

"Oh come on, Princess." Nathan said, his infamous smirk playing on his lips. "It was funny."

"No, it really was not." I replied at the same time Rina and Jake said, "Why're you calling her Princess?" All of us looked between them while they glared at each other.

"Stop that."

"Stop saying what I'm saying."

"No, you stop it."

"Why should I stop, you stop."

"Stop copying me!"

"I'm not copying you, you're copying me!"

"Shut up!"

By this time, the remaining four of us were laughing so hard, we were either rolling on the floor or had tears in our eyes, while Jake and Rina glared at each other, probably thinking of ways to dispose off each other's bodies once they're done killing them.

This was officially the best morning ever. But obviously, like every good thing in my life, this had to end too.

"Katie! Are you up yet?" And there goes my happy morning. As soon as I hear her screechy voice, my smile faded and all happiness left me.

I turned around when I heard a door open, and there she was, the reason for all my pain.

"Allyson, when did you get here?" I asked in a strained voice.

"Now now, that's no way to treat your best friend." She tsked, placing her perfectly manicured claws, I mean hands, on her hips. From the corner of my eye, I saw Rina raising her eyebrow.

"Excuse me, but who are you?" She asked Allyson, who seemed to just notice them.

"I'm Katie's best friend, Allyson." She said in a dismissing manner and turned to me. "Your mom, dad and Ben are waiting for you for breakfast, Katie-" she started telling me, before being cut off by Alec from the other house.

"Oh yeah, We forgot to tell you, we are taking you girls out today with us, aren't we guys?" He said while nudging Jake and giving both the boys a look.

"Huh? We are? Ow! I-I mean, yeah, yeah we are." Jake replied while glaring at Nathan, who was glaring back.

"Oh goodie, I'll get changed and meet you guys out with Ben-" Allyson started before being cut off again, this time by Nathan.

"Actually, only Kate, Sabrina and Sophie are invited." He smirked as he saw Allyson's face fall.

"Oh? But, we're new here, don't you want to show us around town?" She asked while slowly walking towards the window in what I assumed she thought was sexy. I looked at Nathan to see him raising his eyebrow.

"No." He simply said and looked at me. "Hurry up and get ready, Princess. We'll pick you up in fifteen minutes." I blinked and nodded stupidly, wondering why he's not flirting with Allyson like every other guy who meets her.

"Um... Okay." I said, and watched him wink at me and leave his room with the other two boys. I blinked again ant turned to Rina.

"What just happened?" I asked her, dumbfounded. She just shrugged and walked to my closet while Sophie looked between us in confusion.

"Do your parents know that we're going with them." She asked as my mom walked in.

"Oh, sweetie, you're not ready yet? Your friends are waiting for you downstairs." She said with a smile on her face.

"Aunt Trish, can Ben and I go with them please?" Allyson asked sweetly.

"Maybe next time honey, you must be tired from the long flight. Just rest today, okay? Luckily it's a long weekend so you've got enough time to rest before school starts again." Mom said while dragging her from my room. "Now come on and have breakfast with us."

Before I could say something to my mom, I felt something hit my face, making me shut my eyes.

"Hurry up and get ready. I'd much rather endure the Three Devils than Barbie and Ken." I heard Rina say as I peeled the cloth off my face and held it up to inspect it. It was my favorite black shirt that said '#awkward' in big bold letters.

I walked to my bathroom to freshen up but stopped and turned to Rina. "Wait, I get how you know Allyson, but when did you meet Ben?" I asked her.

"We met him while coming to your room." She replied, scrunching her face in disgust and shivered in repulsion. I nodded and walked in the bathroom.

A/n: hey, I know this chapter isn't as long as I'd hoped it'd be, but as I explained in my other book, I simply don't have the time to sit and think of what to write. Hopefully I'll get time in the summer vacations. But until then, don't expect timely updates.
