"This place is creepy," Addie said.

"Agreed," Alex replied.

"But we have to keep going!" Dani said. "For Sadie and Marcus!"

"Yeah!" Addie and Alex said at the same time.

"I want my mommy!" Dani sobbed.

"Me too!" Addie began to cry.

"Really?" Alex asked. "Marcus and Sadie need our help, and you two are just gonna sit there and cry for your mommies?"

"What do you mean Addie wasn't at school today?!" Chase yelled at Saylor.

"I don't know!" she replied, tears streaming down her face. "I just got a phone call and Addie wasn't there!"

Chase wrapped his arms around her.
