Chapter 22

Addie turned around to see Andrea standing there. "What do you want?" Addie asked.

"Oh, I was just leaving, don't want to get throw up on me," the other girl replied.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Addie asked.

"Because I just do!" Andrea replied. "And my mommy says your mommy and daddy are just kids! And that's why you're so bad, because you have bad parents!"

"What did you say?" Addie asked, angry now.

"Yeah, you have bad parents, your mommy can't even drive," Andrea said. "I bet your parents don't even love you, they just adopted you because they felt sorry for you."

"That's not true!" Addie choked, tears streaming down her face.

"Oh, are you a Sicky Pants and a Cry Baby?" Andrea asked.

"Leave her alone!" Marcus said, then ushered Saylor away from the mean girl.

Dani, Alex, Sadie, and Marcus comforted Addie until Ms. Nicholas got there.

When everyone had taken their seats, and they were about to begin, Marcus raised his hand.

"Yes Marcus?" Ms
Nicholas asked.

"When someone is bullying you, what do you do?" he asked.

"Well, there's a few things," Ms. Nicholas replied. "Why? Is someone bullying you?"

"No," Marcus replied. "But someone's bullying my friend, and that makes me mad!"

"Okay, calm down, well, the first thing to do is tell an adult. There are four things you tell an adult."

Ms. Nicholas wrote on the board:

Who
What
When
Where

"Okay," she said. "When we say 'Who', we mean who was bullying and who was being bullied, Marcus, who were they?"

"Andrea was bullying, and Addie was being bullied."

Andrea scoffed.

"Okay, now 'What'. What happened?"

"She called Addie a Sicky Pants and a Cry Baby, and said she had bad parents."

Ms. Nicholas was begining to get worried. "When did this happen?"

"This morning, right before you got here."

"Where did it happen?"

"Right outside that door."

Marcus pointed at the door. "Marcus, is this all true?" Ms. Nicholas asked.

Marcus nodded. "I promise," he added.

"Class, did you see this?"

Everyone in the class nodded. Addie sank into her chair. "Um, Andrea, I'm going to need you to go to the principal's office, you too Marcus."

"But I don't want to get grounded again!" Marcus complained.

"No Marcus, you're not in trouble, you just need to tell Mrs. Hogan what you saw."

"Okay, I can do that!"

The two went down to the office.

At lunch that day, everyone realized that Dani wasn't taking about her new baby brother, her mom was expecting. "Dani, why aren't you talking about your soon to be baby brother?" Sadie asked.

"My mommy said she could feel him in her tummy last night," Dani said. "I think she ate him."

The teacher came over. "Everything okay?" she asked.

"Dani's mom ate a baby!" Marcus shrieked.

Ms. Nicholas spent the rest of lunch explaining to the kids why her mom didn't eat the baby.

After school that day, Saylor got a call from Sun Hi. "What's up?" she answered, putting the phone on speaker so she could continue cooking dinner. "Btdubs, you're on speaker."

"Yeah, hey, um, I was wondering if I could stay at your place for a few days," Sun Hi said.

"Why?"

"Dylan and I kinda got into a fight. The kids think I'm going on vacation for a few days, but in reality I'm just going to someone's house so we can both just blow off steam."

"Sure, you can stay in the guest room."

"Thanks Sayels."

"No problem."

Saylor finished chopping up onions. "Chase! Addie!" she called.

The two, who had been upstairs playing Monopoly, came down. "So, Aunt Sun Hi is going to stay with us for a few days," she said, giving Chase a look, he nodded.

"Are the twins coming?" Addie asked.

"No, sweetie, Aunt Sun Hi is alone," she said.

There was a knock on the door. "It's open!" Saylor called.

Sun Hi came in. "Hey," she said, and Saylor hugged her.

"Thanks again," she whispered.

"No problem," Saylor whispered back.

Addie ran up and hugged Sun Hi. "Aunt Sun Hi, guess what!"

"What?" Sun Hi asked.

"We're having spaghetti for dinner!"

Sun Hi giggled.

Later that night, after Addie was asleep, Saylor came upstairs. She knocked on the doorframe of the room Sun Hi was staying in. She could tell she had been crying.

"Hey," Sun Hi croaked.

Saylor sat next to her and hugged her. That's when Sun Hi let it all out, she began just sobbing in her arms. "I know," Saylor said, rubbing her back. "I know."

Well, depressing chapters have come upon us. I think it might be time for the kids to learn a little. (And by the kids I mean the twins, Addie, Dani, and Alex). Also, in each chapter, I'm going to out a pic of a quote from one of my friends. Unless I need the picture area for something else. Sorry, my friends just say the weirdest things, or the coolest. Don't forget to comment and vote!

Thank you and Lacey! :)
