Chapter 21

Chase and Saylor walked in to the nurse's office to find Addie asleep on a cot. Chase scooped her up and carried her to the car while Saylor signed her early dismissal papers.

Chase buckled her in her car seat. "Daddy?" she asked sleepily.

"Go back to sleep Pumpkin," he said soothingly. "We're gonna go home."

Addie nodded, then drifted off.

Saylor got in the passenger seat. "Why don't we go to our house?" she asked. "I mean, we've got the beds and stuff, and I could watch Addie while you get stuff in the car, little stuff like her bear and blankie."

Chase nodded. "I'll get her bear, blankie, and go to the grocery store and get some Tylenol and soup and stuff," he added.

Saylor kissed his cheek. "Thank you," she said.

They got home, and Chase carried Addie upstairs. He then went to the grocery store and Jared's house to get some stuff. Addie sleepily came downstairs. "Pumpkin, you should be in bed," Saylor said with concern.

"I want you mommy," Addie complained.

She came to the couch and sat next to Saylor, putting her head in her lap. "Mommy, will you show me that song you wrote about daddy?" Addie asked. "I know it's fast, but I like it."

"Sure Pumpkin," Saylor replied.

Here is my story, I've got my type
Tattoos and skinny jeans, black boots and piercings
A public enemy

Not Cinderella, still got my shoes
I like the animal, the supernatural
Maybe I'm crazy but

If you were Dracula
I'd be letting you take that bite
Hot and hazardous
Like playing with dynamite

Yeah I want Dracula
Forever be young and wild
Dark and dangerous
Yeah I love, I love the tragically beautiful

I am a night owl, I come alive
I'll make the sun go down so I can see you out
Straight to the underground

I like the broken, imperfect rules
That's why you're wonderful, it's undeniable
I might be crazy but

If you were Dracula
I'd be letting you take that bite
Hot and hazardous
Like playing with dynamite

Yeah I want Dracula
Forever be young and wild
Dark and dangerous
Yeah I love, I love the tragically beautiful

Only one kiss, only one
Only one kiss, you'll be k-k-k-k-killing me
Only one kiss, only one
Only one kiss, you'll be k-k-k-k-killing me

Hey! Hey!

If you were Dracula
I'd be letting you take that bite
Hot and hazardous
Like playing with dynamite

Yeah I want Dracula
Forever be young and wild
Dark and dangerous
Yeah I love, I love the tragically beautiful

Saylor looked down to see Addie fast asleep. She smiled, but it faded as she saw her trembling. She picked her up and took a blanket they had on the couch, and wrapped it around her, also wrapping her arms around her.

Addie stayed asleep the entire time.

Chase came home about twenty minutes later with grocery bags, and Addie's bear and blanket. "Thanks," Saylor whispered.

He kissed her cheek. "No problem," he replied.

They took Addie back up to bed. They were using an old blue comforter and her blankie to keep her warm. "Mommy? Daddy?" Addie called a few minutes later.

Saylor and Chase ran upstairs to see what Addie needed. She had just woken up. They took her temperature, which was 101, then got her to drink some water. They then took her downstairs and she sat on Chase's lap and watched TV.

That night, Saylor was awakened by an all too familiar sound. Then Chase was awakened by what came after. "Mommy! Daddy!"

Saylor and Chase rushed to Addie's room. She had thrown up on her bed.

Saylor picked her up and changed the sleep girl into clean PJs, then helped her sip cold water, slowly. Chase fixed the sheets and the comforter. Luckily, she had managed to miss her bear and blankie.

They put a trashcan next to her bed. Chase stroked her hair and Saylor sang until she fell asleep.

Chase and Saylor then went to bed themselves.

The next morning Saylor and Chase took off school so that they could take care of Addie again. She was worse that day.

The day after that Addie was a lot better, and she was going to be able to go to school on Monday. It was Saturday, and the twins had called her on Friday just to make sure she was alive.

On Sunday Addie was completely better, so they went out to buy furniture and other stuff for the house. By Monday, the house looked great.

On Monday, Addie came to school, nervous. She was nervous because she wasn't sure what the other kids would say since she threw up in front of the whole class.

She got to school, and Ms. Nicholas was running late again. So the class got into the same lines. And Addie heard a familiar voice say, "Well, well, well, if it isn't Sicky Pants."

Yup, that's how I end chapters. Sorry! Don't forget to comment and vote!

Thank you and Lacey!
