Akane's POV

Mori came back to aki after being 3months away I received him with open arms I loved my husband but I hated the way he looked at his soldiers mere pawns to his disposal

We've been married for only a few months and the village people are already talking about when the potential heir to mori clan is going to happen, mori and I never really talked about having children seven only been married for a few months and would he want a child anyway? I wasn't prepared to be a mother anyway so I disregarded the comments about a baby

Today mori was in the war room planning as he usually does I only see him maybe twice a day and occasionally thrice if lucky

I felt lonely as I looked out the window of our bedroom a servant came to bring me lunch

"Maid where's my husband?" I asked

"Lord motonari is under a lot of stress and asked to be bothered by nobody" she said

I scoffed "stress?"

The maid nodded

"Maid prepare me a fresh pair of clothes I'm going to take a bath in the hot springs"

"Very well Akane sama" she said

I went to the hot springs it was inside our home a section of our home was the hot springs they had developed there in that area before the manor was built the only people that could use the hot springs were the lords and mistresses of the house meaning me and mori, mori was always away so technically I was the only one who could use it

I opened the sliding door to reveal the large hot spring a small water fall was built

I stripped naked as I entered the hot spring the warm water on my skin as I entered deeper inside the water covering my thighs and naval

I steeped underneath the waterfall letting the water fall over my head

Meanwhile Mori's POV...

I came up with a new tactic for an invasion I met up with yoshitsugu about our agreement to let Shikoku be mine

I sighed in relief I was finally done and I could finally see my wife again

"Lord motonari your out of your war room so early?" one of the servants said

"Yes I'm done with work for today where's my wife?"

"She's bathing in the hot springs my lord motonari" she said

"Very well prepare clothes for me I'll be going to hot springs as well" I ordered

"Yes, lord motonari"

I made my way towards the hot springs, when I arrived I stripped myself of my clothes and discarded them to the side I opened the sliding door to reveal the hot springs

I saw Akane facing her back towards me unaware of my presence I entered the water and walked up behind her to surprise her

Akane's POV

I was in the waterfall letting the water fall on me when I felt a pair of strong hands wrap themselves around my hips and a strong chest against my back

I looked behind me and saw mori

"Did I startled you Akane?" he teased as he gently kissed my neck

I placed my hand on his face and stroked it gently looking up to his face

"No I was just surprised to see you this early you usually come to me when I'm sleeping" I stated

"I finished my duties early I felt like accompanying my wife in the bath" he whispered

I scoffed "Now you decide to act like a proper husband"

I moved away from his arms and he looked at me confused

"I am your husband akane I'm not acting or are you lonesome?" He asked

"You left me all alone Mori without saying anything to me am I not your wife?" I confessed

He grabbed my waist and held me against his chest he leaned his head against mine and tried to comfort me

"I'm sorry It must've been hard for you to be here all by yourself, all alone" he soothed

"It's fine I should be used to it already I just want for this war to be over" I wished

Mori turned me around to face him properly

"I know my beautiful Flower it'll be over soon and once it's over we can attend to other things" he reassured

I sighed and wrapped my arms around his neck as he kept his hands on my hips

"I love you mori you know that right?" I asked

"Of course I do what makes you say that?" he desperately demanded

"It's just that you haven't touched me or kissed me since you've arrived I feel like I can't do anything for you as your wife" I answered

He smirked "So you felt unloved?"

My eyes widened in shock I started stuttering "I-It's not that"

He kissed me, the kiss was long and deep, I lost control and kissed him over and over again, his hands wandered from my hips to underneath my thighs he cupped them and made me Jump straddling his hips arching my back to be as close to him as possible

We kissed again and again

I went under the water the thing was that the hot spring was enormous and if you went under water it would be difficult to find anybody

I felt a splash not far indicating mori went under water too

A few minutes later I had to resurface for air he also resurfaced but he was at a far distance from me

Once he saw me his eyes were dark and lustful he smirked thinking he was going to win my little game

I teased him by biting my lip and pushing my breast together with my hands

He immediately dived underwater I panicked and started swimming away but I felt something grab my leg and pull me under

He smirked "after all that sex you didn't pass out but you do immediately right after sex" he mused

"It's your own fault you seduced me" he said kissing my cheek

"Rest, I'll have the servants bring you dinner" mori said

"Where are you going?" I asked

"I'm going to discuss business with the vagabond of the maeda family" mori said

"Alright be nice mori" I warned

He smiled and bowed "Of course my beloved wife"

With that he left the room and a servant came inside with dinner

"For you my lady Akane" she said handing me the tray

I ate the food and gave it to the servant

"Thank you, you may leave" I informed

She nodded and left

I laid on the futon as I fell asleep

I felt the futon shift a little I slowly opened my eyes and saw Mori in his bed kimono

"Mori..."

"Ah did I wake you Akane?"

I shook my head "how did it go? were you able to do business with the maeda?"

"Yes, it was the nephew of the maeda family maeda keji wanted to form an alliance with me and chosokabe for the fall of nobunaga oda" he explained

"Did you accept?" I asked

"Yes, however trying to convince chosokabe go form an alliance might be difficult the only reason why I'm doing this is for the peace of aki I want to get rid of the devil kings menace in our country" he said

"When will you leave?" I asked

"3 weeks time the maeda vagabond will come here to announce whether chosokabe is at our side or not" he informed

"Be careful come back safe and alive mori" I said hugging him

He hugged me back "of course for you i'll always come back protect aki in my stead Akane while I'm gone"

I nodded "hai"

"Lets sleep we both are exhausted" he mused

Me and mori dozed off to sleep

Time skip 3 weeks later...

I've been feeling sick for 3 weeks now and I've been hiding it from Mori the servants wanted me to call for a doctor but I refused I don't want to worry Mori

Mori and I were having lunch together the servants brought the food I looked at it and immediately felt sick but ate it for the sake to trick Mori

"What's wrong you've barely touched your food" mori asked

"I'm just not hungry mori" I admitted

"Akane don't you think I haven't noticed? I can read you like a open book you've been acting strange" he said

"Mori I'm fine I promise" I reassured

"No, you're not fine you've been waking up late at night, throwing up and barely eating Akane" he said

"......"

Mori walked towards me and scooped me into his arms

"Eh?! mori what are you doing?!"

"You're going to stay in bed until you've felt better" he said

"I'm fine mori really I am"

"Akane my decision is final" he said coldly

"Hai"

We arrived at our bedroom and he laid me on the futon

"Stay here ill have the servants take care of you I'll come by later to see how you've been I'll make sure to have a doctor come and check you" mori said kissing my cheek

"Hai"

Mori left and the servants came inside with rice porridge and bread

Later that day a doctor came by he checked my body then asked if he could touch my breast

"Eh? no! you can't" I snapped

"Please lady Akane it's just for examination not for personal gain" the maid said

"The only man i'll let touch my breast is my husband" I said immediately regretting what I had just said

"Then do you want to me to call lord motonari for him to check you himself?" the doctor asked

"Mori is busy right now I don't want to bother him" I said

"Then lady please allow me to examine your breasts" he asked

"......fine"

The doctor grabbed both my breasts and gave them a tight squeeze then let them go

"Yes, they are definitely swollen I guess that concludes my examination" the doctor said standing up

"What is it doctor?"

"Congratulations lady Akane you're pregnant with child" he said

"I'm pregnant?"

He nodded "however I have terrible news for you about the pregnancy"

"Terrible news?"

"Has anyone in your family's history has had a weak constitution?" he asked

"My mother used to get sick a lot when she was little she rarely went outside even when I was born she became ill for several years and eventually died" I said

"I see so I feared, my lady Akane this pregnancy is of high risk considering your constitution you and your child could both survive or  not survive however it's only a possibility depending on how your body adjust to this it will determine whether you or your child's life is at risk I'm sorry but when you go into labor there is a high chance you may not live through the process of giving birth" the doctor said

"I will most likely die?"

The doctor nodded "I'm sorry I'll tell lord motonari myself if its of consolation to you"

"No! I'll tell him myself"

"Well then I shall be taking my leave good day" nodded farewell

The doctor left the room leaving me and the servants

"How will you tell mori sama my lady?" the maid asked

"I don't know If I could bring myself to tell him" I admitted

"Please all of you leave and call my husband mori" I ordered

"Yes, lady Akane"

I stood up and held my stomach

'The baby me and mori have created, our dear child I will protect you'

Later a servant knocked on the sliding door

"Lady Akane lord motonari is here"

"Let him in"

Mori came inside wearing his armor

"I heard the doctor was here what did he say? will you be alright?" He asked in a calm tone

I walked over to mori and hugged him he jumped in surprise

"What did the doctor say Akane?" mori asked

"Mori please don't be angry, promise me you wont be please don't" I begged

"Yes, I promise now what did he say?"

I looked into Mori's eyes and told him

"Mori I'm pregnant"

He took a few steps back

"You're__pregnant?! you're carrying my child inside your body?" he asked smiling

I nodded "yes"

He picked me up and twirled me around I giggled and he let me down and kissed me

"Why would I be angry about that Akane?" he asked

"Because I have a weak constitution and the baby and I might die when I give birth" I said quietly

That turned the tables a silence was between us mori was no longer smiling he took a step forward and I immediately took a step backwards

He grabbed me

"Mori no!please you promised you wouldn't be angry" I yelled

"Get rid of it" his words stabbed my heart

"What?"

"Get. Rid. Of. It. Akane" he said

"You want me to lose the child?"

His eyes were cold he never looked at me that way, not until now

I pushed him away

"No I won't get rid of my baby mori!" I yelled

"Don't be a fool why have a child when the child itself will end your life I won't allow you to throw your life away Akane I won't!" Mori yelled

"This is my choice mori not yours!"

"I'm your husband I will not have you talk to me this way Akane" mori said

"No let me have this baby mori It's your child as well!" I begged

"It may be my child but I will not forgive myself if it ends your life for taking away the only thing I loved I won't forgive it" he said coldly

"Akane my decision is final you will not have that child" he said

"My decision is also final I will have this child mori with you or without you" I said through tears

"You're not going to leave me Akane" mori said grabbing my arm

"You are not going to stop me" I said

"Ah!"

Mori pushed me to the floor

"Akane I can kill that child right now if I chose to do so but I'll let you choose if you still want to have the child I'll allow it but if you die during labor I'll cut down the child myself however if you both live through the pregnancy I will father it in the meantime I will be leaving soon for the final battle against the demon king at odawara castle"

He turned his back and left the room

Tears fell from my eyes 'how could you be so cruel Mori?'

Time skip...9months later

Third persons POV

After the battle at odawara castle motonari came back to aki and return to his wife Akane after nobunaga oda was defeated there was peace in the land of the rising sun however Akane knew of what motonari intended to do with the child if she were to die in labor in the meantime all they could do was wait till that time came and let fate decide

Akane's POV

"Lady Akane you look so healthy today" a servant said thank you

"Thank you it's seems the pregnancy have gone smoothly only a few days left till the little one pops out" I joked

At that moment mori entered the room

"I would like to talk with my wife in private" he said coldly to the servant

The servant bowed and left

Mori and I were left alone

"Are you feeling well today?" he asked

"Yes, ooh! the baby seems to be kicking" I said happily

He looked at my stomach

"Can I?" He asked

I nodded "He's also your child Mori"

Mori approached me and kneeled down and placed his hands and ear pressed against my belly

"Can you feel him kicking?" I asked

He nodded "Yeah quite fiercely though"

"He's happy to see his father" I said trying to convince him

"Akane when are you due?" he asked standing up

"Three days" I answered

Suddenly___*BOOM!!*

A loud booming sound was heard

"Lord motonari bandits are attacking the castle" a soldier said bursting inside

The sound of the explosion caused my body to go into a shock I felt water running down my legs

"Mori...I"

Mori looked at me shocked

"Get your lady out to safety I shall join you when I can" I ordered the soldier

"Mori!"

"My flower please don't worry I shall be by your side before you know it trust me"

I nodded and he kissed my lips

"Now go!" Mori ordered

The soldier carried me bridal style outside of the castle

Mori ran out to get his weapon and start fighting

"Take me to the river side there lives a wet nurse please hurry" I said as he placed me on a horse and got on the horse after

We soon arrived at the cabin at the lakeside

"Sachi!" I called out

An elderly woman came out

"Oh Akane my poor girl what happened?!"

"She's In labor please help her I must return to the castle" the soldier said

"Yes yes get her inside I can manage by myself" the elderly woman said

We went inside The soldier placed me on the futon inside

"Go tell my husband I am here please hurry" I said in a pained voice

The soldier nodded and left

"Now just relax lady Akane and start breathing"

Meanwhile with Mori...

The bandits that attacked my castle didn't pose much of a threat they were quickly captured

"You should've known better than to attack aki without knowing the wrath of lord motonari" the soldier said as he finished tying up the bandits

"We're so sorry my lord we were unaware you were The Lord of this land please let us go we'll never come back" the bandit chief said

"Afraid I can't because of you my wife went into labor today and I have no idea if she's going to survive so as you can see I'm most irritated you shall be cut down like grass I care not of what happens to you" I said

"Fire!"

*SHINK!!*

The bandits died with arrows in their bodies

"Dispose of the corpses" I ordered

"Yes sir!"

"My lord mori lady Akane sent me to guide you to where she's giving birth" a soldier said

"Very well you shall lead me towards her"

Me and the soldier left the castle and made our way towards Akane

Akane's POV

"My lady your going to have to push soon" Sachi informed me

Suddenly Mori came bursting through the door at my side

"Secure the perimeter" mori ordered the soldier

"Yes sir!"

"Lord motonari your wife is going to start pushing now"

Mori sat behind me and held me as I soon started to push

*Push!!*"Ahhhhh!!"

"Once again my lady" Sachi said

*Push!*

"I can see its head my lady two more" Sachi said

"I can't I can't do it" I cried panicking

"Akane you are not going to die on me you are going to push my child out or you'll both perish" mori said

I took a deep breath and pushed

*Push!*

"Once more my lady it's almost out"

*PUSH!!*

"Waaaah! waaah!"

"It's a boy my lady"

I was so tired my body felt heavy and so did my eyes

Mori's POV

I felt Akane struggling to keep her eyes open

"Akane!" I yelled

"My lady!"

"Akane hang on don't leave me!" I panicked shaking her shoulders to keep her awake

"Wait I have just the thing" the nurse said rushing to the cabinet she had nearby

The nurse quickly grabbed a bottle

"What is that?"

"It's sake"

"That won't work" I spat

"Trust me it will"

She opened the bottle and placed it under her nose

Akanes eyes shot opened and she quickly sat up

The nurse laughed "it works every time that sake is over 1000 years old its strong enough to wake the dead"

The nurse cut the baby's cord and took him to clean him up

"Mori she's taking my baby away" Akane whined

"Oh I forgot to mention it might make her hallucinate since the sake is so strong" the nurse said

"Thank you for saving my wife" I thanked

"You're welcome but I didn't do it for you lord motonari I did it for lady Akane"

The nurse gave Akane the baby the child cooed silently as Akane cradled it

"Hi I'm so happy you're out I finally get to see you after all this time" Akane said tears of joy running down her eyes

I kissed akane's head"You did well" I whispered

"What will you name him?" I Asked

"Haku it means child of the sun" she said

"It's perfect haku it is"

"He looks just like you mori" Akane smiled

My baby had the same color hair as I and my eyes but he had his mother's nose

"Thank you for giving me this" I said

Akane smiled and kissed my lips

The baby soon started crying

"It's hungry" the nurse said

Akane laughed "it wants milk"

"I'll leave you to feed him I'll have the servant prepare your clothes I'll have someone come and get you since you can't walk at this moment" I said

"Mori stay here" Akane said grabbing my clothes

I smiled "If that's what you wish"

I returned to my wife's side to see my child drinking milk from breast

"He's so hungry" Akane said surprised

"As long as he doesn't stray you away from me he can suck you dry" I joked nuzzling her neck

Akane blushed "mori sama Baka!"

I chuckled "I love you Akane"
