Pina's Villa

Y/N POV:

An earthquake is happening in the Imperial Capital, though it's not catastrophic I see soldiers running around in panic like it's the end of the world. It's like these people never experienced an earthquake before. Calm and collected Itami, Suguwara, and I walk up to Pina who's comforting Hamilton.

Itami: Jeez this is a pretty big one isn't it. I mean I'd say it like a level 4 or 5 maybe.

Suguwara: Judging by the preliminary tremor, I'd say the epicenter isn't very close.

Y/N: Yeah, I think one like this hit California a while back.

Pina: Itami, L/N what's going on?!

Itami: What?

Pina: How can you both be so calm at a time like this?

Itami: Well uh...this magnitude of earthquake sorta happens to us all the time back home in Japan.

Y/N: Happens in America too, but it's not a common occurrence.

Itami: It'll be over before you know it.

The tremors eventually stop.

Itami: What'd I tell ya?

Itami: Tomita! Status update!

Tomita: Roger!

Y/N: Kuribayashi! Check on the women and see if they're okay!

Kuribaysahi: Roger!

Itami: Furuta, contact all units. I'm going to need a damage report.

After receiving damage reports from other units, we explain to Pina that there's going to be some aftershock.

Pina: There's going to be another one?!

Itami: Uh-huh. Y'see usually after an earthquake of that size, there's going to be what they call some aftershock.

Y/N: Shouldn't be too bad, but you might won't to stay away from things that could fall over.

Pina: We have to do something! I must inform my father! Gather our clothes. We're going to the Imperial Palace!

Itami: You ladies be careful.

Pina: What are you saying, you mean you're not coming with us?

Y/N: Princess, your dad's the Emperor and we're envoys from enemy nations.

Suguwara: Even if this is an emergency situation... I'm not sure it's a good idea enemy soldiers to just show up unannounced.

Pina place her hands on me and Itami's arm

Pina: You let me handle that. But please...I need you on this. I need you both at my side!

Pina gives us a pleading look and Itami, Suguwara, and I look at each other. Itami and Suguwara laugh nervously, I just shake my head in defeat.

Time Skip Imperial Place, Throne Room

Y/N POV:

We made our way to the Palace, along the way we saw some guards practically shitting themselves over the quake. Pina gets her father up, has us brought to the throne room. She gets the place organized for the visit. Itami and Suguwara are up front and I'm in the back with Tomita and Kuribayshi. Meeting an Emperor for the first time and I'm not in my Blues.

Kuribayashi: *whisper* Sir, why aren't you up front?

Y/N: *whisper* Japan has the lead on this one not the US. I'll just hang back with you and Tomita until the time is right.

The Emperor sits on his throne resting his face on right fist.

Molto: So... I see we have some visitors. Mind telling me who they are.

Pina: Oh! Of course allow me to introduce you. This Suguwara, a Japanese emissary.

Suguwara bows and the rest of us salute the Emperor.

Molto: A Japanese emissary? Why would you bring them here at a time like this?

Pina: Uh, well they are well experienced in the earth tremors, sire. I though perhaps they could offer some advice.

Molto: Is that so...*rise from throne* Then I would like to welcome Sir Suguwara. But unfortunately, as you can see, we are in the middle of a bit of a crisis. So I'm afraid a proper welcome will have to wait.

Suguwara: I understand, Your Majesty. I'm sure you will provide ample opportunity for future negotiations when the situation improves.

???: FATHER!!

We turn around to see a six foot blonde man wearing red sleeveless shirt and purple cape walked into the throne room with an entourage.

???: I am here Father! *shove Tomita* Move it!

???: Aah. I'm so glad to see you're well! Now, let's get you out of here as quickly as possible!

Pina: Please wait brother! I have already summoned the other leading members to join us!

Y/N: (Brother...Is this the guy who crashed the party yesterday Zorzal was it?)

Zorzal: This is not the time to waste on bureaucrats! Noriko says another earthquake can come at any moment!

Itami: Who's Noriko?

Y/N: *whisper* That name sounded Japanese.

Pina: How would you know anything about earthquakes?! And who is this Noriko person you speak of?!

Zorzal signals to his men and they bring in a woman in slave's clothes enchained and crying.

Zorzal: This is Noriko. Why don't you say hello? She is one of the surviors we were able to capture from the other side of the gate!

He walk over to Noriko and kicks her in the ribs and picks her up by her clothes. I am seething with anger and really want to kill this guy.

Zorzal: Get up. Now! I want you to tell his majesty exaclty what you told me about the tremors before, okay! *grabs her face* Start talking!

Noriko: Please don't hurt me...please me alone.

Y/N: What the fuck?!

Tomita: She's Japanese?

Itami rushes up to Zorzal and punches him right in the jaw sending him three feet back into some his followers. One them tries to attack Itami but he punches him in the body and face putting him down and the rest of us follow behind.

Itami: You son of a bitch!

Y/N: Mother fuckers!

Kuribayashi pushes Itami aside and he stumble over and she to see to Noriko.

Kuribayashi: Are you alright? You're Japanese aren't you? *takes out knife and cuts restraints* We're the with JSDF. We'll take care of you.

Noriko: So I can go home.

Kuribayashi: Yes, we'll take you back. Home, to Japan.

The girl starts sobbing and embraces Kuribayashi.

Suguwara: I can't believe a Japanese person is enslaved here. *puts suit jacket on Noriko* What's the meaning of this, Your Majesty? Why is she here?

Pina: I'm certain there must be some kind of mistake! Please forgive us I'm sure we can-

We here laughter from that asshole Zorzal as he rises to his feet.

Zorzal: I won't bother asking how you got in here. But it seems that you have chosen your own destiny. It's a serious crime to attack a member of the royal family. A very serious one. *snaps finger*

His men ready their weapons, and we back off a few steps back. Suguwara takes the girl to safety.

Kuribayashi: I don't like this guy.

Y/N: I really wanna kill him.

Itami: Kuribayashi, Tomita, L/N. *pulls pistol slide back and release* Weapons free, do what it takes.

Kuribayashi: *sadistic smile* Roger that!

Y/N: With pleasure.

She draws her bayonet and attaches it to her rifle. I ready my rifle and attach my K-BAR to it.

Zorzal: Kill them!

Two of his men advance on us swords out.

Tomita: Careful with that thing.

Kuribayashi: That all depends on these assholes!

Y/N: I'll back you up!

Kuribayashi and I charge forward, she rushes forward and quickly stabs one of them under the arm. I rush the other and stab him in the chest twist the my rifle and quickly pull it out. Two more try to hit us from behind, Kuribayashi locks weapons with one of them the other tries to slash at her from behind and I block him with my rifle. I lock my rifle with his sword, push him left, bash him in the face with bud end of my rifle, and stab him in neck. Kuribayashi slashes her opponents throats.

Zorzal: Dammit! What are you waiting for?! Form a line and take those two out!

Imperial soldiers begin forming a shield wall in front of us. I stand near Kuribayashi's left, both of us aim our weapons.

Y/N: Cover your sector, pick your targets, don't let them get around us!

Kuribayashi: Yes sir!

Y/N: LIGHT 'EM UP!!!

(Que the chorus of "Bodies" by Drowning Pool)

Our fire penetrates their shields and decimates their front rank. The hostiles drop one by one, Kuribayashi runs out of ammo.

Kuribayashi: Reloading!!

Y/N: Covering!!

I increase the volume of fire to cover her as she reloads, I then run out of ammo.

Y/N: Changing!!

Kuribayashi: I'll cover you sir!!

She increases her fire to cover me while I reload. Soon most of the hostiles are down and we cease fire, the survivors are trembling with fear.

Kuribayashi: Drop your weapons or suffer the same fate as your friends!

Y/N: Drop your fucking weapons!

The survivors drop their weapons and surrender.

Y/N: Smartest thing you've done today.

Zorzal: Bunch of goddamn...cowards!

Itami point his pistol at Zorzal.

Itami: Now Prince, when you brought Noriko into the room, you said she's a "survivor." What that tells me is that you kidnapped other people as well. People that didn't make it?

Y/N: Better answer, Pretty Boy.

Zorzal: I have no obligation to tell you anything.

Itami: Have it your way. He's all yours

Y/N: Fuck him up.

Kuribayashi: Thank you sirs.

She puts her weapon on ground on it's bipod, then stretches her gloves, and approaches Zorzal.

Zorzal: Okay little girl, do you know who the hell I am!?

He takes a swing at Kuribayshi, she dodges and comes with an uppercut right to his jaw knocking out a tooth. Zorzal falls over on his back and Kuribayshi jumps on top of him and begins pummeling the shit out him. While she does that I light up a cigarette, with a grin on my face. Zorzal face becomes swollen, bloodied, and bruised from Kuribayashi total ass whooping.

Zorzal: *muffled* Please stop, that's enough little girl.

Kuribayashi gives him one big punch and gets off him. I get my pistol out and approach the prince with Itami as he whimpers like a whipped dog.

Y/N: *blows smoke* Let's try this again. *points pistol at Zorzal*

Itami: Okay, Your Highness. *point pistol at Zorzal's head* You still haven't answered question.

Zorzal continues to whimper I almost feel sorry for him...almost.

Itami: 'Scuse me? What was that?

Y/N: Couldn't understand you without any teeth.

Suddenly a bunny girl in white fur and slave clothes runs in front of us and shields Zorzal.

Bunny Girl: Please...

Zozral: *muffled* What are you doing Thule?

Thule: Do not kill the prince.

Itami: *sighs* Your Highness, I'm going to ask you one more time. Did you kidnap more Japanese people?

Y/N: *take drag and blows smoke* I suggest you answer the question, unless you're ready for round two.

Noriko: Where's Hiroki? What did you do to Hiroki? The two of us were taken from Ginza together!

Zorzal: *muffled* Some of the prisoners... were sold into slavery. But beyond that I don't know. *keels over*

Thule: *gasps* Your Highness.

The rabbit kneels and tends to Zorzal and now all eyes are on the Emperor now.

Suguwara: Your Majesty, I believe the formalities must wait, until after our people have been found. And Princess Pina, I expect that we'll be hearing form you on this matter yes. About the whereabouts of our people and their safe return.

Itami: Let's go.

I finish my cigarette, holster my pistol, and we begin to leave keeping my eye on the survivors when the Emperor suddenly speaks.

Molto: The soldiers of Japan are certainly strong. But I fear you also revealed a tremendous weakness.

Suguwara: A weakness?

Molto: You are hindered by a crippling love for your people. Ultimately it could create much suffering in the future.

Y/N: (That all depends you Emperor.)

Molto: We have already seen large and advanced civilizations grow brazen in their power... Only to hacked down and slaughtered by barbarians.

Y/N: (And our world has had civilizations fall due to the vanity and complacency of their leaders.)

Molto: I'd keep that in mind if I were you.

Suguwara: That weakness of our...happens to be our national policy. And to protect it and our people, We have the JSDF. So I ask would you like another demonstration?

Molto: Hmph. No, we cannot resist your advanced firepower. You may begin the peace negotiations whenever you wish.

Suguwara: Your Majesty, as I'm sure your are very well aware...Peace is simply a time to prepare for the next war. Our nation and our world outside that gate has been forged with a long history of blood, much worse than your Empire has endured. So keep THAT in mind.

Y/N: (Damn right it is.)

Molto: One more thing, *looks at  Y/N* you there young man. You're different, who are you?

Suguwara: This our attache from our ally, The United States of America.

Pina: He's an American, Father.

Molto: American... tell me your name young man.

Y/N: Your Majesty, Lieutenant L/N United States Marine Corps.

Molto: A Marine? That fights on land?

Y/N: We have fought in every clime and place, where we could take a gun sir.

Molto: Tell me...are we at war with your country as well?

Y/N: No sir, I'm simply an attache and adviser

Molto: Then why are you here?

Y/N: I was there when the Gate opened and your forces attacked Japan. The United States is the most powerful country in our world, and Japan is our friend and ally. We're no better friend and no worse enemy. And I've already shown you one of our most dangerous weapons.

Molto: And what is that?

Y/N: A Marine and his rifle, Your Majesty.

Itami: That will be all for now. *salutes* Let's go.

I give the Emperor an armed salute and I leave with the rest. We get outside the Palace and discuss what to do next. I stand aside to think about what just happened an how we should we respond to this. Kuribayashi approaches me.

Kuribayashi: Are you okay sir?

Y/N: Just killed about a dozen guys...a another day at the office for me. How about you?

Kuribayashi: I'm okay, *smiles* Thanks for backing me up Lieutenant.

Y/N: Yeah, no proble-

Kuribayashi suddenly grabs my armor, pulls me down, kisses me, and lets go.

Y/N: *whisper* Hey, easy! You want the others to see!?

Kuribayashi: *whisper* Sorry.~ You look so cool back there, I couldn't resist. Just wait until we get back.~

That statement both frightens and arouses me, Suguwara and Itami approach me.

Suguwara: Lieutenant, do have any advice on how should we respond?

Y/N: You need to retaliate.

Itami: What?

Y/N: They need to be know the price of their actions. If Noriko was an American I'd have this whole place carpet bombed...But that's a bit overkill so *points* precision airstrike that building.

Suguwara: The Imperial Senate?

Y/N: That way every Senator, every Noble, and even the Emperor will know the equivalent of divine retribution for their actions. Send them all a message.

Suguwara: And what message is that Lieutenant?

Y/N: I come in peace...

Y/N: I didn't bring artillery...

Y/N: But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes...

Y/N: If you fuck with me, I'll kill you all.

TIME SKIP: Alnus Hill

Y/N POV:

After we took Noriko to the safe house, Kurokawa patched her up, got her a t-shirt and track pants, and brought her back to base by Chinook. Where a medical team is waiting for her you give her a full check. Yanagida is waiting as well.

SDF Doctor: Hi there, you must be Noriko.

Noriko: Y-yes.

SDF Doctor: Nice to meet you come this way.

The docs take her to Sickbay.

Yanagida: So you two made a big mess of these again. You're something Itami, starting as mass shooting at the Imperial Palace...What happened L/N, did you think it was one of your schools.

Y/N: Fuck off Desk Jockey! You weren't there!

Yanagida: But then, you did rescue an abductee. Am I suppose to scold you or praise you?

Itami: So what's gonna happen to me?

Yanagida: You'll be lucky if you get pay-cut.

Itami: UGHHH!!

Y/N: Well, lucky you guys don't pay my salary.

Yanagida: How-ever!

Itami: Huh?

Yanagida: The government is trying to use this incident to increase their popularity rating.

Y/N: Of course they would.

Yanagida: Rescuing a Japanese citizen from the enemy make's s great bit of PR. And having L/N assisting has improved relations with the Americans. But in order to do that they can't punish the key players of the incident can they. Lieutenant General Hazama is torn up about it because he has no idea what to do with you both.

Itami: *puts hands together* Please Lieutenant General Hazama don't kill me.

Yanagida: And there's the family of Noriko Mochizuki...

Yanagida told us the the girl's family was looking for her in Ginza, and they were killed during the attack. Things just keep getting better and better don't they, the docs were doing some blood work on Noriko when she asked Itami if she could call home. He gave her a half-truth, saying that they haven't set up a civilian phone line and they had to keep her under quarantine for a while. We brought Kuribayashi and and Kurokawa outside to tell them to keep it quiet about Noriko's family for now.

Itami: Do me a favor and don't tell her yet.

Kuribayashi & Kurokawa: Okay.

Noriko come out her room with an IV hooked to her right arm.

Itami: Noriko, are you alright?

Noriko: Um Itami, Kuribayshi. I should've told you guys this a while earlier, and the American as well L/N right? But...I cannot thank you enough for saving me.*bows*

Y/N: Happy to do so ma'am, now get some rest.

Time Skip

The day was winding down and "Retreat to the Colors" is playing on the loud speakers Itami and were heading to Division to report. Yanagida is waiting for us just outside with that smug look on his face.

Yanagida: Hey.

Y/N: Oh god.

Itami: Ugh, What do you want now?

Yanagida: I have something I think should tell you.

Itami: You never have any good news, Yanagida.

Y/N: I gotta write a report to Washington make it quick.

Yanagida: You'll regret it if you don't hear it...L/N, It's regarding a dark-elf.

Y/N: What?
