It's been said that there is an Esprit De Corps that exist in the United States Marine Corps. Esprit De Corps means loyalty, enthusiasm, devotion and a strong regard for the honor of the group.
Simper Fidelis, for most Marines, is a lifetime bond to a band, no an orchestra of brothers. Once a Marine...Always a Marine. The term "No child left behind" actually is a spin on a Marine Corps doctrine. The original concept was/is "We will leave no man behind". A most comforting policy for warriors.
It does not appear to matter what era one Marine is from when they meet another Marine. There is an instant connection. Many barriers are overcome Marine to Marine.
They have a concept that I really like, it is stated," Improvise, adapt, overcome ". Do whatever is necessary with whatever you have to survive. I have found their concept to be quite useful in my day to day existence.
I thank the United States Marine Corps for the sacrifices they have made for the cause, for their forward thinking and for their Esprit De Corps. Gong Ho!!!! Ouh Rah!!!! Simper Fi!!!!
