"Do more, expect less."

To reap a good harvest, we must work hard for it. There is no success that we can get over a night in writing. Upon working diligently, we must not assume too much, to save our hearts from discouragement. However, many times, we practiced the other way around, we increase expectations while we decrease manifestations. If you are a fresh writer, do not expect to sell thousands of copies upon your first publication or gain a million of followers over a month. You will end up frustrated with that thought. Whereas if achievements come your way when you least anticipate, you will be surprised & elated. Like a seed of eggplant being planted, it needs to be watered, fertilized, freed from weeds and insects, wrapped its fruits to prevent pests from consuming them, and finally harvested healthy and bounty fruits one day. In writing, we also need to cultivate our stories by starting its introduction, taking off errors, fertilizing through application of helpful tips from experienced writers, and watering with constant improvement; before we will be able to publish them.

The Psalmist states, "You will eat what you worked so hard to grow. You will be blessed and secure." Thus, our toil will not go in vain. Your hardwork will be paid off soon. Along with it, awaiting for the right time to triumph is essential. We should never be in a hurry for a gigantic accomplishment in an instant, but to carry out with perseverance and faith. Write and write until success knocks on your door. God knows what's best for us. Set your expectations low. The least we expect, the least we get hurt.
