The bruises all over me, the marks he gives me every day, they serve as a painful reminder that I'm not alone in this world, even though it hurts like hell. No matter what happens or what he does, I'll continue to care for him. But as I reflect on these words, I also recognize that love can sometimes be synonymous with suffering.
