Im still picking up the pieces of my heart.

You held it so firmly at the start.

Then you started to gradually pull away.

You shattered my heart.

The pieces went every which way.

They are bruised.

They are battered.

You threw away everything so easily that mattered.

You completely threw my love away.

Love to you is just a meaningless word you say.

Im still picking up the pieces of my heart.

I was so foolish to give it to you.

The pieces are all here.

But i fear they no longer fit together perfectly.

I blindly trusted you.

You shattered my heart.

I'll be more careful who i give it to next time.

You so cruelly discarded mine.

The pain you caused will stay with me.

Perhaps with time it will fade away.
