You think evil darkness only comes out at night?

Sitting watching from the corner of your room.

Casting its glare of inevitable doom.

What if its always there we just simply aren't aware.

Our brains are wired to fear the dark and what dwells there.

But what if its always near even in broad day light.

Watching, waiting for what it seeks.

Listening to every word we speak.

What if it can take shape and mimic the people we know.

Following us everywhere we go.

Feeding off your energy, absorbing little pieces of our soul.

Tucked in the shadows and you don't even know.

All black and two glowing eyes.

Watching waiting for a body to enter, human disguise.

Maybe its dwelling in a family or friend right before your very eyes.

No place to hide, he's watching near.

A gust of cold air, or maybe a whisper you thought you could hear.

Maybe that's him waiting so very near.
