When my happily ever after was completely shattered.

It left my heart bruised and battered.

I wondered if it was always just a lie?

Melancholy filled my soul leaving me feeling unwhole.

Sadness took its tole.

So heavily weighing me down.

I vividly remember all the laughter and fights, then came the tears.

Everyone said with time it heals.

You tossed me away like I were insignificant.

Depression stole away all feeling, left my mind reeling.

Leaving me emotionless and completely numb.

All the tears have come, been cried, and dried.

You left your destructive imprinted in my life.

I withdrew from the world putting my everything on hold.

Feeling like everything I knew was deception.

Anger set in, I craved redemption.

Wondering why my life choices took me in this direction.

Another one of life's cruel intentions?

Poor judgement I made wrapping around me like a serpent.

Stealing my air, squeezing away at my dwindling heart beat.

So deeply, i felt the sting of your twisting  knife.

Searing pain you kept inflicting.

My heart felt shattered. Lost everything i thought mattered.

Tension building feeding my excruciating pain that came from deep within.

But like they say all's fair in love and war.

When I meet the one person that's able to restore my  heart.

Giving me the ability to not fear letting them in.

The ability for a new start.

Opening my eyes to matters of the heart.

In the end I am able to love again.

That's  when I have found my real happily ever after.

Your memory is just a tragic disaster.

Locked away left in the dark forgotten shadows.

Sadness trampled, my anger put at bay.

You later came back trying to say it was a mistake?

Saying you miss what you threw away?

This time as i walked away, i got to say, all's fair in love and war.

Your not worth the tears anymore.
