I've been meaning to make a 'get to know me' thingy for a while, and now that I've reached 1K, it seemed like the perfect time! So, thank you for clicking this and I hope you enjoy getting to know the girl behind the account!

✶.ᐟ Selena is my actual godgiven name. Most of my friends call me either Sel or Lena, but feel free to call me whatever you'd like! My pronouns are she/her!

✶.ᐟ I was born on March 19th in São Paulo, Brazil. I lived there until I was about five years old before my family moved to the US. I still visit every time I get a chance, and I hope to someday live there again.

✶.ᐟ I speak two languages: English and Portuguese! Though my Portuguese is not all that good since I barely practice.

✶.ᐟ I'm currently in college, going into my third year! I study graphic design and work as a photographer, which has been my dream job since I was a little girl.

✶.ᐟ I'm an introvert in every sense of the word. I get really nervous around a lot of people, and even online, I've got some issues with being sociable. Though I'm always open to making new friends! If you'd like to chat, please don't hesitate. I promise I will warm up eventually.

✶.ᐟ Regarding physical appearance, I've been told I look like Morticia Adams and Violet Perr. So basically, white girl with dark black hair and a gothic vibe.

๋࣭ ⭑ ━━━━ FACTS .ᐟ

✶.ᐟ This is actually my third account here on Wattpad. I downloaded it once during middle school (and deleted it immediately cause I got scared) and then again during the pandemic. But I got to say this is by far my most pleasant experience.

✶.ᐟ As most people here on Wattpad, I'm a massive bookworm. I've got over 200 books on my shelves (and I've read like a fourth of them). My favorite genres are historical fiction and romance, and my favorite book of all time is 'All The Light We Cannot See' (a real tearjerker that I will recommend till the end of time).

✶.ᐟ As you can see by my theme and user, I'm a huge Dua Lipa fan. She was the first artist that I actually followed, and she'll always have a special place in my heart. But I also happen to have the music taste of a dad raised in the 80s. So that's an interesting combination.

✶.ᐟ I've got two tattoos. One is a rose with the phrase 'Como La Flor', a homage of sorts to my namesake Selena Quintanilla. And the other is a small Tardis (don't ask the meaning of this one because it does have any).

✶.ᐟ I am that friend who always carries a camera everywhere. I've got a collection of cameras dating back to the 70s, and they're my most precious posesions.

✶.ᐟ I consider myself a very creative person! I love everything that has to do with art. I love scrapbooking and making collages. I've spent way too much money on art supplies, and I don't regret it at all.

✶.ᐟ I have a paralyzing fear of driving, but I have no trouble riding a bike. Which is ironic considering how the car is supposed to be safer -- in the words of Gracie Abrams: "I'm a walking contradiction, and it shows."

✶.ᐟ My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw, and my personality type is INFP. I don't really understand how zodiac signs work, but I've been told I'm a pisces!

✶.ᐟ  I'm a critical overthinker, which is why I usually take so long to answer comments or messages. My brain just keeps second guessing everything and when I realize three months have passed. So if you see me answering comments from three months ago... no, you didn't.

✶.ᐟ  I come from a very mixed family. My dad is Japanese and my mom is Brazilian. And that combination never fails to make family dinners and holidays very interesting.

✶.ᐟ Also I'm an older sister! I've got a sister four years younger than me! And I pray to God she never ever finds this account.
