There is always a reason why you stopped being friends with someone. Don't go back.

This chapter links to the end a bit!!!

You can play along!

To celebrate the end of Louis' Heat, Niall suggested that the two couples go out for a picnic together in the forest surrounding the Pack House, with maybe a spot of fishing?

So, the next day, Louis and Niall packed lunch in a giggling fit, then headed out into the forest with their boyfriends. The two Omegas walked ahead, arms linked and skipping along the path which had been created by thousands of footsteps heading out to the clearing, whilst their Alphas talked a few metres behind them, strolling lazily along the path but making sure that they always had a cautious eye on their other halves (partly because of their protectiveness and partly because they knew how mischievous they were, well how mischievous Niall was and how susceptible Louise was to  her influential cheeky ways) carrying the picnic basket, a couple of blankets and a couple of fishing poles.

When Niall noticed the clearing straight ahead of them, he squealed and waved for the Alphas to catch up, before grabbing Louis' hand excitedly and pulling him along in a run to reach the clearing.

Both boys dramatically plopped onto the grass on their backs in fits of giggles, moving their arms and legs like they were creating snow angels.

When the Alphas arrived and dropped their belongings, the Omegas sprung for the picnic basket and grabbed the sandwiches which they had neatly packed away. The Alphas teasingly scolded them, rolling out the blankets, which their Omega's scuffled onto before starting to eat.

The Alphas grabbed their own food and plopped themselves down beside their Omega's. They happily ate in silence. When Niall was finished, he laid out so his head could lie in Liam's lap, Louis the only one left who was eating, perched happily in Harry's lap with his legs criss-cross.

"I'm so happy that I'm away from school," Niall whined.

The two Alphas nodded in agreement as Harry threw Louis' rubbish, when he finally finished, into the open basket.

Niall turned his head to look at Louis, shading his eyes with his hand against the sun. "What have you thought about Hell so far?"

Louis grabbed the notebook and pen that he'd put in the picnic basket. It's school, right?

Niall laughed and nodded. "Did you know that Marcus and Lillie are going out?"

Louis gasped and leaned forward on Harry's lap to slap his hands on the blanket: he certainly did not know that!

"Yeah," Niall laughed.

"Who's Marcus and Lillie?" Harry asked, threading his fingers through Louis' hair, who was leaning back against his chest in relaxation again.

"Louis stole Marcus' seat - a Beta's - on the first day of school," Niall giggled.

Louis gasped and got onto his hands and knees to be able to reach over and flap a hand at Niall's head, but when he still couldn't reach he just resorted to pointing his finger accusingly at the laughing Omega.

"He's right, sweetheart, it was your fault," Liam laughed.

"Hold up a minute," Harry said calmly, pulling Louis back into his lap. "What happened to my little Omega?" he pouted.

Louis patted Harry's thigh comfortingly and pointed at Liam.

"Yes, yes," Niall sighed, "Liam saved him."

"I give up," Harry sighed, snuggling his Omega close.

"Anyway," Niall sighed dramatically, "Lillie is this soft little Gamma, who couldn't even hurt a fly, and Marcus is a jackass, plain and simple. I never thought that they'd like each other."

You can't help who you fall for, Louis wrote.

"Hey, that's mean," Harry pouted, before he started tickling his little Omega, who tried to crawl away but was quickly pulled back by Harry, Louis' giggles and squeals stifling his breathing.

"Break it up!" Niall shouted, shuffling to a standing position. He was trying to sound disgusted, but he secretly loved the cute scene unfolding in front of him. "Louis, you want to go fishing?"

Louis' head perked up and he nodded, Harry reluctantly letting him go. Niall helped Louis up by the hand, then handed him over a fishing pole, grabbed his own and they walked off into the forest again, only giving their Alphas a quick wave goodbye.

Louis trusted Niall completely and he wasn't surprised when they did actually reach a small pond.

"Over here." He tugged Louis' hand, cocking his head towards the boulder that was right beside the pond.

Louis followed him over easily and let Niall get his fishing pole ready, throwing the hook into the water, before handing it back to Louis, then doing the same to his own.

"So," Niall sighed, puffing his cheeks out in boredom.

Louis repeated his actions, a cheeky glint in his eyes.

Niall whined and pouted at his teasing, Louis only responding by sticking his tongue out.

They went back to a comfortable silence, legs swinging in front of them, heels hitting the rock gently.

"So, you and Harry," Niall giggled.

Louis blushed, looking down.

"You really like him, yeah?" Niall bumped his shoulder against his.

Louis shrugged.

"He really likes you as well, you know?"

Louis raised an eyebrow, looking up at Niall sneakily.

"I've never seen him around anyone else like he's around you," he whispered conspiratorially.

Louis blushed even more.

"Do you want to play a game?"

He warily nodded.

"Would you like to play 'Would You Rather'?"

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"So," Niall began, turning slightly towards Louis, "I'm going to say two options and you pick which one you would rather have. We'll call them one and two, so it's easier for you."

Louis nodded, turning towards Niall as well.

"Okay, so would you rather have ketchup or barbecue sauce?"

Louis held up one finger.

Niall rapidly shook his head. "Definitely the barbecue sauce for me. Okay, question two, would you rather have no elbows or have no knees?"

Louis giggled. He had to think about it for a minute, before he held up one finger again.

Niall shook his head again. "I'd rather have no knees, so that way I can eat food by myself and Liam can carry me everywhere."

Louis nodded, snapping his fingers and biting his lip, annoyed that he hadn't thought about that, because he'd been thinking that he would be able to walk but someone would have to feed him.

"Would you rather...be good at sports or get good grades?"

Louis balanced the fishing pole between his legs and set his hands on his hips, giving his friend a 'duh' look, then held up two fingers.

"Yeah, I'm with you on that, I never was able to run."

Louis gasped and pointed at himself, nodding.

"Okay, so would you rather be invisible or be able to fly?"

Louis immediately held up one finger.

"Yeah, we're getting into bad territory here, let's move on. So, what do you think about the Pack House?"

Louis excitedly gave him two thumbs up.

"Yeah, everyone is nice and welcoming."

"Niall, Louis, you ready?"

Both Omegas heads turned to where they heard Liam's shout.

They both sighed and stood, looking at their hooks which had no fish on them, not even a tug.

"It's okay," Niall consoled his friend, as they walked back to their Alphas with their arms slung over each other's shoulders, "we'll just make them go out and buy some fish fingers."
