Chapter Ninety-Nine

EDITED

Louis - he ain't technically pregnant anymore

Niall - 26 weeks pregnant

This book is coming to a very quick close. I only have a couple more chapters and an epilogue. I am so sad about that! I don't want this to end, but everything has to come to a close, right? I can now concentrate on other books, which I'm planning. But, like, this book has been my baby. :-(

Anyway, copyright

"Where is he?" Harry roared when he ran through the front door.

"Harry - " Liam tried to calm him down, out of breath from running after his friend, but Harry was already frantically running up the stairs, following the scent of his Omega.

When they arrived on the third floor, he shoved through the people crowding the landing and walked into his bedroom.

Louis was lying on the bed, crushing Niall's hand, tears streaming down his face. The doctor was bumbling around the room, getting everything ready, Zayn talking to him and wanting to get everything straight for the birth. When Harry scurried into the room and to Louis' free side, Anne ran in from the ensuite off of the bedroom, towels in her hands. She set the towels at the end of the bed and scurried out, muttering something about getting basins of water.

Liam closed the door behind him and walked over to Niall. He took Niall's shaking free hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"I hate you," Louis spit at Harry, another contraction hitting. He picked up the pillow that he slept with between his legs that Anne had given him, aiming to hit Harry but it fell a few inches short, making Louis scowl even harder. "I hate you so much, Styles."

"I-I..." Harry whimpered.

"It's okay, Harry, they always get like this," the doctor reassured Harry with a chuckle.

"And you can shut up as well!" Louis screamed, ripping his hand away from Niall's and picking up the nearest thing on his bedside table, which just so happened to be a box of tissues, promptly chucking it at the doctor.

"Okay, Niall," Liam said with a shaky laugh, "maybe we should go over here and try not to intrude." He took hold of Niall's hand and placed his other hand on the small of his back, leading him over to one of the walls.

Louis didn't even notice through the pain.

Robert just shook his head at the Omega's feeble attempt to hurt him and walked over to him, placing his hands on his belly and feeling where the babies were positioned. "Everything seems to be fine so far," he mused. He extracted his hands and took a step back. "Too bad that you didn't realise that over the past few days, your belly dropping and the feeling of something between your legs was because the babies were getting into the birthing position."

"How was I supposed to know?" Louis scowled.

"You could have come and asked me?" Robert sassed back.

"It's too early, I thought I was fine," Louis reasoned.

"In first time pregnancies, children are usually born prematurely. Also in multiple births, they are premature. You have nothing to worry about, this is completely normal," he reassured him.

Louis nodded and muttered, "Well, you didn't tell me that," convinced now that everything was going to be okay.

Zayn walked over to Harry. "You okay?" he asked, a hand on Harry's shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, just a bit overwhelmed," Harry whispered, not even noticing the pain from his hand any more. He was certain that Louis had broken a couple of fingers and maybe a knuckle, but there was no chance in Hell he was going to say anything about it.

"Why are you overwhelmed?" Louis now turned to him. "I'm the one that is having - "

Harry tried to shush his little Omega when Louis was cut off by a gurgled sob as another contraction hit.

Louis tugged at Harry's shirt when it passed. "Please," he whimpered.

"Yes, yes, anything, little Omega," Harry mumbled instinctively. He pried his hand away from Louis' with difficulty, then pulled his shirt over his head and handed it to his Mate, who brought it up to his nose. Usually Louis would have been entranced by the sight of Harry's bare chest, but right now he didn't even care.

"The towels, the towels," Louis mumbled, sitting up and reaching to try and grab the towels at his feet.

Harry pointed for Zayn to grab them.

"They're-They're," Louis pouted as he smelled them. "They don't smell like us, they have to smell like us," he began to panic.

Harry watched on in shock, not knowing what to do.

"Harry," Robert scoffed, "it's his Omega instincts. In his head, he needs everything to be safe to deliver the children. The towels smell like nothing and his Omega doesn't like that."

"Well, what do I do?" Harry screeched, scared by his bawling Omega.

"Well, get the towels to smell like you two, you idiot," the doctor scolded.

"Yeah, yeah," Harry mumbled. He knelt beside the bed and rubbed his and Louis' joined hands over one of the towels, hoping that, that would satisfy his frantic Mate. When he raised the towel to Louis' nose, the Omega sighed and nuzzled against the towel. Harry nodded to himself, satisfied with the results, and did the process to the other towels.

"Harry," Louis whimpered.

Harry hummed.

"I want to walk around, please," he whispered.

Harry nodded and stood, setting the towels to the side. He helped Louis swing his legs over the side of the bed and to stand, handing Louis his shirt. He held tightly onto one of Louis' hands and rested the other on the small of Louis' back. Louis raised both his hands to rest on his belly.

Harry led Louis around the room, occasionally pausing when Louis needed a break when a contraction hit.

"You doing okay, Lou?" Niall asked when the couple stopped beside him. Robert and Zayn were now standing with Niall and Liam, watching the Omega that was in labour carefully.

Louis whimpered. "They want out," he joked.

"Yeah, they want to see you," Niall whispered, holding onto Louis' hand again.

"I want to see them as well," Louis whispered. "I want to walk more," he told Harry, tugging on his hand, "it helps."

Harry nodded and Louis dropped Niall's hand with a squeeze.

"I love you, big bad Alpha," Louis said when he and Harry were on the other side of the room.

"I know, little Omega," Harry reassured him.

"Anything I say when I'm having these pups, don't listen to," Louis said, with a smile.

"Don't worry, I'll always love my little Omega."
