;; her nightingale

" LET US LIVE LIKE FLOWERS

WILD AND BEAUTIFUL AND

DRENCHED IN THE SUN. "

ADA'S EYES TRAILED DOWN THE WEBPAGE AND SHE PAUSED, her brows arching slightly with surprise. She hadn't really ever thought to research nightingales. No, they hadn't really come up in her line of her work. But ever since the second task, she decided that she ought to find out more if she was to plan not just one outfit, but two.

Nibbling on her bottom lip, her eyes quickly read through the passages, a small smile on her face. She had to admit that there was somewhat of a semblance between her and the little bird, though she couldn't say that her voice was as beautiful. It was more of the timidity and shyness, they were known for, and the...secrecy, she supposed. She wasn't full of secrets, but she didn't exactly open up easily either.

Opening a small notebook, Ada picked up a pen and quickly scribbled her ideas down, her smile growing as the outfit seemed to form on the page, and when she was satisfied, she leaned back on her chair, stretching her arms above her head, a sigh leaving her mouth. For the accessories, she would draw on the nocturnal nature of the birds, and continue to emphasise on it for the dress. And yet, for her dress, she didn't want to fully represent a nightingale. After all, that wasn't exactly her place to take.

Adalyn still had to decide which royal to work on, and though she had to admit that her fashion sense might not be up to par with theirs, she'd try her best. Flipping to another page, inspiration flooding her, she continued to pen down notes, and when she was done, she held the book up, letting the glare of the sun touch the pages, illuminating an ethereal glow.

Jumping up from her chair, her eyes widened slightly as an idea burst into her mind. She wasn't the nightingale, nor did she even represent it; no, that idea would be for the royal. But perhaps, if she looked at the opposite of a nightingale...Ada had to admit that the sun had played a key part in providing her with this detail, and as the new idea pieced together in her head, she bobbed her head, starting to sketch on a new piece of paper.

Oh, Gods, this would be chaotic, indeed.

For her dress, she has drawn inspiration from the sun, and the Norse Sun Goddess, Sol, looking for a bright design, the opposite of night. Adalyn has settled on a beautiful, gold dress with tulle layering the skirt and sleeves. Glittery pearls and designs line the torso, neckline, sleeves, and the edges of the skirt. A belt with delicate leaves as the clips cinch her waist, and the dress flows to the floor. Ada believes that because she isn't part of the royal family, she doesn't exactly 'have the right' to wear the colours of the night. She gathers that she wouldn't fit in, anyway. Instead, she has chosen to wear the colours of the day to celebrate their differences.

" DAY'S DRESS ; SOUL FULL OF SUNSHINE "

For her accessories, she has chosen a pair of gold, sun earrings, pretty ones that catch the gleam of the light. A similar necklace matches that, a gift from one of her friends. Ada can't imagine wearing pointy, uncomfortable heels for the whole night, but she's decided that if she wants to wear the look, she has to pair the everything off with a beautiful pair of white and gold heels. She figures that she's just wearing it for one night, anyway. Her hair is in a twist updo, a style she mastered ever since she was a child.

" THE SUN'S ACCESSORIES ; HAPPINESS LOOKS GORGEOUS ON YOU "

For Princess Camilla's look, Ada has drawn inspiration from the moon and the stars, the nocturnal habitat of the nightingale, and the Greek Goddess, Selene, who also represents the moon. The dress inspires a dreamy, flowy look, which is exactly what she was going for. The dress is lined with tulle, and the sleeves have a smooth layer of silk. Small, shimmery stars decorate the garment, and gives the whole dress a galaxy-themed style. The dress reaches down to the feet, but the shoes are easily seen if you shift around. She dismissed the idea of a cape, as she feels that it'll restrict movement, and one could easily trip. Though Princess Camilla may not be the nightingale, Ada still believes that the princess should get a chance to shine, all the while representing her kingdom.

" NIGHT'S GOWN ; YOU ARE EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED TO BE "

For her accessories, Ada has gone with beautiful crescent-moon earrings and a necklace, using gold and white to create a gorgeous whirl of colours. She has also chosen midnight blue heels, once again celebrating the colours of the night. Instead of an updo, Adalyn has decided that letting the princess' hair flow down her back would give a freeing look, and so she's chosen a style with twists and braids, lining the locks of hair with delicate flowers and pins.

" A QUICK NOTE "

A grin graced her lips as she beamed down at what she'd come up with, and Ada flopped softly back onto the bed. Although the princess might not choose her idea, the girl was proud of what she'd procured, anyway. It was certainly a far, far way from where she'd been with her fashion sense. Taking another piece of paper (she seemed to have a whole, never-ending pile of paper on her desk), she took a pen and scrawled on a message to the princess.

Dear Princess Camilla,

Forgive me for my frankness, but I have to say that I sincerely hope that my fashion choices haven't blinded you. After all, I can't say that I've had much interest, or experience in this area. Nevertheless, I do thank you for even considering this look. (Perhaps, if you like it, I might pursue a new career in the fashion department?)

I hope that you find yourself well, and though you may not be the nightingale, I believe that there's a fighter in every one of us, and I hope that you'll continue to shine as bright as you always do. After all, it is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light. I have to grudgingly admit that this may not be my own quote, but know that you have the support of your kingdom, and perhaps, even a friend in me, if you do need it.

Sincerely,
Adalyn Elinor

Smiling at the letter, she quickly pocketed it into an envelope, writing a quick 'To Princess Camilla' on it. Ada hoped that the princess wouldn't find her idea too atrocious. Humming a little as she tidied her room, her eyes gleamed with a satisfaction. Perhaps she ought to work on that new piece now. It'd be awful if her writing was handed up late. And so she sat, shrouded by the glow of the sun, smiling as words formed on the page once again.
