The security guards immediately stopped everyone from leaving, but I was well-aware that Jisung already contacted the police for assistance. His mother got dragged towards her husband, as Youngho and Jaehyun tried to fight back with all their might. Mr. Lee wrapped his arms violently around Mrs. Lee as she cried out for help for him to release her, as he declined to do so. I watched in horror as he then slapped her on the face as he proceeded to make his way towards Jeno and Jaemin. He pushed Jaemin onto the ground, before grabbing Jeno's hair painfully which made the other wince out in pain.
Donghyuck tried his best to stop the fight but I stopped him from doing so as he barely had the strength to do so. Mr. Lee laughed so rudely at the manner as he wandered his way over to us. I hugged Donghyuck tightly to protect him as the man started to flick at Donghyuck's forehead. I grunted angrily as I stood in front of Donghyuck soon after, as I angrily yelled at him, "Stop hurting him!"
He laughed as if I was just a mere bug, slapping me on the face angrily with all his power as my cheek throbbed in pain. I fell onto the floor as I rubbed my hand on my cheek to help simmer it down. Donghyuck then lunged at his father, punching him without a second thought as I could hear Jisung and his mother both pleading to stop. I saw Donghyuck fall onto the ground in pain as his father was too difficult of a match, and he got kneed in the stomach. The pain of watching Donghyuck get even more soon worsened as I saw then another figure attacking his father. I crawled towards Donghyuck to help him up as Jeno started to attack his father.
Youngho and Jaehyun were able to fight off the guards as they ran inside to help Jeno attack their father. Donghyuck rested his hand against my throbbing cheek as I winced quietly at the subtle pain of electricity. His eyes were full of tears as his face was bruised up badly even more than before. He placed a gentle kiss on my nose to assure that everything is okay, but I knew it wasn't. We both sat up carefully as Jisung was protecting his mom from the mess. Jeno fell back with a continuous cough as I saw some bits of blood running down his lips. The security guards managed to come back and stop them from fighting once more.
Donghyuck ushered me to take Jisung's hand as his mother managed to run away towards the kitchen as he said urgently, "Go with Jisung. Don't look back."
"What about you, I can't leave you."
Donghyuck smiled forcefully as he leaned close to kiss the top of my head. In the midst of the moment, I could hear Jeno screaming and trying to get his father to stop attacking everything and everyone. Donghyuck kept my focus on him and Jisung as he continued to talk, "You promised a date, and I want to hear your confession then. I will go see you don't worry, I really like you Ryujin."
"Donghyuck-"
"Go now. I'll meet you in two days, in front of the bus stop. We can go to an amusement park together."
"Hyung-"
Donghyuck stood up quickly despite him whimpering in pain under his breathe as he forcefully pushed us out of the house. From a distance, there were sirens that were slowly approaching the neighborhood as Donghyuck kept making us leave. "I'll see you soon little brother. Don't worry."
He gave me a smile of assurance before making his way back inside the house to find his mother. Between my fingertips, there was a small coin purse that was colored in pink and yellow. Jisung then dragged me outside as we both then ran away from the house together. His promise rang within my ears as the police cars started nearing and gathered around the house. Jisung waited for them to all pass before we stopped to stare at the house. The doors were closed and the police officers were slowly intruding the area.
I heard a loud scream within the house, but I wasn't sure which person's it was. I knew it wasn't Donghyuck...he had a promise to keep. And my hand clutched onto the coin purse with hope and worry rising within my stomach. Jisung's fingers were intertwined with mine as he then whispered to comfort me, "They'll be okay...they will all be okay."

5 years later...
"You're still reading that letter? I'm kinda hurt."
I close my notebook and the note that is written inside a crumbled, old piece of paper. Turning around slowly on my chair, Jaemin leans over as his pout is evidently painted on there. I stand up quietly as I wrap my arms around his neck to hug him quietly. I mutter against his shoulder as he wraps his arms around my waist, "You know the full reason why... it's especially that day today."
Jaemin nods quietly as the birds chirps endlessly within the morning daylight. We soon let go as he leads me downstairs to where my brother and Jisung are both eating breakfast happily in silence. They both are chattering amongst themselves as I find myself munching on a piece of toast that Jaemin cooked before I came down. Jimin looks up at me as he asks quietly, "Should I stay behind today?"
"Yeah, I think you should...it's a little far that your body might not handle it."
Jimin nods quietly before he smiles to show that he isn't upset. He cleans up his dishes and makes sure that we leave the dishes so that he would find himself busy. Jisung changes into a warm, black sweater with black jeans as I find myself wearing a black cashmere dress. Jaemin changes into a black button up and slacks as we all make our way towards his car. Arriving to the scene where the trees overlook the city, we get out of the SUV as the hell-like three hour drive to the cemetery is finally done. The clouds dance prettily among the skies as the sun isn't shining too brightly to burn the earth with its wrath.
Jisung helps me walk towards the grave as my stomach continues to grow with pain as Jisung asks worriedly, "I'm worried for the baby...you shouldn't walk too much."
"Don't stop me today. I can handle it."
Jaemin walks close behind me as his hand intertwines with mine as we both arrive to the graves. Staring down quietly as we both pray our condolences as I gently sit down to kneel on my knees to get a closer look at the flowers growing on the tomb. Jaemin places the beautiful, snow white flowers onto the floor next to me as the tears immediately flood into my eyes as my hand gently caresses the name plaque.
"It's been awhile Donghyuck-ah...I missed you. Sorry I should have come visited....but I've been a little busy as I got pregnant not too long ago."
Donghyuck's photo that is embedded within the plaque stares back at me as if he is to say that it's alright. I could hear him laughing within my ears as Jisung sits down next to me before speaking up happily, "Hyung! I got accepted into the nicest university within Seoul....Noona and Hyung helped me out."
"Yeah, and we're happy..despite Ryujin always talking about you throughout the years...I really understand. You were special to me too....and I know it wasn't easy to see me marry Ryujin..I hope we're all chill with that, best friend."
Jaemin soon adds along with the statement as he also sits down close to me as his hand rests against the growing stomach of my body. I try to smile through the tears and anger as it is the fifth anniversary since Donghyuck's death since the fight as I know that he never kept his promise. But I know that he has been wanting to bring peace onto the whole family if he sacrificed himself.
"Ryujin..Jaemin...Jisung."
A different voice calls out as we all turn to face the familiar, deep voice which echoes from one being. Jeno stands behind us as he is holding a bouquet of white daises within his hands. Without even knowing, I smile back assuringly as Jaemin replied back with a welcoming, warm tone, "Hey Jeno...welcome back."
His hair is now bleached blonde as living in America must been that he is living the best life he could ever imagine. Something he also deserves after gaining his freedom.... we both make eye contact as he smiles at me with a warm one, as I do the same.
"I'm here Donghyuck, and I missed you so much man."
