"Wow..."

I stared quietly at the table when dinner was finally served between us all of us. This seemed to not bother any of the other kids as they were always eating luxurious food as I live a different lifestyle from them. The table was set with chicken fried rice, Chinese glass noodles, wonton soup, orange chicken, and vegetable stir fry. Jess looked over at me with a teasing smile, "Why are you so surprised?"

I scratched the back of my neck unknowingly as I responded quietly, "Never got to experience this much food at the table."

Ren looked up as he heard my comment and responded with a soft smile, "Well, you're welcome to eat more."

I thanked them both before turning to Donghyuck, who was already starting to eat afterward. Something I envied about the others would be that this lifestyle is something that was given to them, and I wasn't able to experience a taste of it. But now, I felt a little more welcomed into a circle of people who knew that being rich wasn't all that. Each had their own difficult lifestyle as we all are finding comfort within each other.

Ren and Donghyuck started to talk earlier when they excused themselves to the patio. And now at the dining table, they seemed much more relaxed after their long discussion. Meanwhile, I realized that the conversation was something that I could not mingle into as I did not know much about the drama that took place between Ren and Donghyuck.

However, a familiar topic soon popped up as Ren wiped his mouth delicately as he started to question us, "So why did you guys come here? Not that I mind or anything.."

Jess placed her spoon down to reply as she glanced at the both of us, "Because..class president got some issues."

Donghyuck stopped eating as well before he added quietly, "I needed to get out of the house because I knew I would be blamed for."

"What about you?"

I blinked quickly as all the attention was focused on me before I swallowed the remaining food inside my mouth, "Some other issues.."

Ren chuckled lightly as he beamed softly, "No worry, I won't pry."

Jess shrugged her shoulders and replied soon after, "I offered her to come, and it took her a while to reply back even if I knew she would."

Donghyuck and Ren both laughed loudly as my cheeks turned warm and red. The smile couldn't stay off my cheeks as my cheeks continued to turn into a red madness as I replied back with a whine, "It was barely even two hours."

The whole dining area was filled with laughter and claps as I felt more embarrassed to be around them. But the bubbly attitudes continued as the dessert of chocolate cake was served right after. The atmosphere turned into a serious one right when the topic was changed towards the dispute between Jeno's and Jaemin's family. Ren sighed quietly as he knew Jeno's father wanted to win so bad that he would even use the threats and bribery in order to achieve what he wants.

"Youngho and Jaehyun hyung both grew up with that attitude...Jeno is quite different."

Ren stated as he placed his fork down as he folded his hands together as he was starting to describe Jeno's background to me. I turned towards Donghyuck, who was staring mindlessly at his dessert plate when he does. I took a deep breath before nodding with what Ren was saying as he continued, "Jeno was also close with me before all of the shit took place. His father was very abusive....that was the reason why he changed so much. Donghyuck and Jeno were actually super close before they got into high school."

Donghyuck didn't say anything as he picked at his dessert with his fork. He hummed quietly under his breathe, and he fiddled with his fork as Jess sighed quietly. I blinked quickly before asking, "Jess knows about this to?"

"To a certain extent..that's why I kept my distance from him. But we didn't know if we could trust you.."

"Now we do."

Donghyuck said with a forced smile onto his face, which didn't help simmer the atmosphere. Turning towards Ren once more, he continued to discuss the issues within Jeno's family. The complicated scenery was set as everything seemed to have coiled badly when Donghyuck and Jeno entered into high school. Soon, Donghyuck looked over at his phone before standing up quickly with a worried facial expression. He turned to all of us before speaking up quietly, "My brother is sick...I think I got to head over towards Jaemin's." 

Ren and Jess both nodded quietly as they excused themselves from the dining area as they gave us privacy. I stood up soon after as Donghyuck slipped his warm hand against my cold one, warming them immediately. I sighed to myself before asking quietly, "Are you going to stay there?" 

Donghyuck nodded before nuzzling his chin against my hand as he smiled gently as he looked at me with his puppy-like eyes. He replied soon after without showing his worried expression, "I will be fine. Jaemin and his family know me. We can see each other at school." 

I nodded quietly as he leaned closely to me, and I felt my cheeks soon warming up as he did. He teased as he poked his free finger against my nose, "You're so in love with me."

I rolled my eyes immediately before I shoved him away from me, "Shut up and leave already."

His annoying chuckle rang through my ears as he pulled me close for a tight bear hug. After trying to resist him a few times, I soon gave in as I hid my face against his chest. We stayed like this for a bit before he soon backed up and led me out of the dining area. I followed him outside but he kept ushering me to go back inside. He whined when I refused to as I wanted to see him go safely into Jaemin's car without any attacks. 

As he waited for Jaemin's driver to arrive, he kept his hand within my grasp as I slowly rested my head against his shoulder. I could hear him laughing to himself when I did, and I slapped his shoulder with my free hand when he did so. We both ended up laughing together as Donghyuck pointed to a car pulling up. Jaemin's driver got out and bowed at the both of us, before he helped place Donghyuck's bag into the trunk. Before we pulled apart, Donghyuck turned towards me and gently placed his lips onto mine without even warning me. 

I widened my eyes in an instant, as I felt my cheeks warming up once more. I tried to comprehend everything but he soon pulled away too fast as he did. He left a lingering peck on my nose then my cheeks as his cheeks were soon red with warmness as well. We stared at each other quietly without a word as he muttered under his breath, "See you tomorrow cutie." 

I smiled without even knowing as I hid my cheeks behind my hands as he did. He flashed a bright smirk before ruffling my hair gently as he then turned his back from me and walked towards the car. I stared quietly as I still felt my heart running a thousand miles without stopping. He waved at me multiple times when he entered into the car and drove off; Hwang Donghuck really was one confusing male.
