"Ryujin, Jess, Jeno, and Donghyuck. You all have detention for being late."

So it has begun.

Just as Jeno predicted, we were forced into detention every Thursday. They didn't actually mark us for being late or anything, but it was long enough for my parents to question me. I didn't really say anything, only excusing it as a school project. And of course, everyone was starting to wonder why we were getting detention. As class ends earlier than expected, I decided to get a snack from the convenience store along with a request from Yeji too. Suddenly, Jess placed her hand on my shoulder and whispered, "Can I come too?"

I nodded and smiled barely, and she quickly followed behind me. We walked without a word as gentle sprinkle of showers fell from the cloudy skies. I preferred to have gone alone since we didn't really talk along the way, just enjoying each other's subtle presence quietly. We both entered into the convenience store, and tried to find some snacks that are placed align in a row. Jess moved along the beverage sections, as I had made my way along the cookie corner. However, there was a suspicious young teenager who was glancing everywhere. I quietly watched from the side, as he grabbed a few bags of chips and stuffed it into his jacket and backpack. He grumbled to himself in his success, and managed to make his way to the front door. I followed after him quickly, grabbing onto his collar to drag him back.

He yelped in surprise and whined angrily, "Let me go!"

I unzipped his jacket, and the snacks fell onto the floor as his crimes were revealed. The worker behind the counter gasped as she immediately apologized immediately for not checking the cameras. I made the young boy take out the stolen snacks from his backpack. He glared up angrily at me and warned in a hushed tone, "You made a mistake."

That line...I heard it so many damn times, it didn't even make me flinch.

But someone else had interrupted our conversation, and said with their familiar, agitated tone, "What are you doing here Jisung?"

We both turned to the front door, where Jeno and Donghyuck stood to block the entrance. Jeno crossed his arms as he walked towards the young male, who immediately froze and whimpered quietly. I watched as Jeno slap the younger on the forehead, making him fall onto the floor. He cried immediately, hiding his face behind his hand and I yelled upsettingly, "What are you doing?!"

Jeno crackled his knuckles and smirked evilly as his full side revealed. "Why not? I'm disciplining him from stealing."

"Still, you're going way too far."

I was about to kneel onto the floor to help Jisung, but Donghyuck stopped me immediately. He glared at me quietly before helping Jisung up. "Apologize right now."

Jisung wiped his non-ending tears as he bowed to Jeno apologetically. "I'm sorry... I'll be careful from now on."

Jeno rolled his eyes and blew the bangs out of his eyes as I watched in horror. I never knew someone can treat their younger brother in such a horrid manner. Donghyuck then turned around to the worker, who was frozen at the spot from witnessing something so cruel. He took his wallet out quietly and spoke up, "I'll pay for what he stole. I apologize again."

At the moment, I could feel the heaviness in Donghyuck's voice as he paid. It's like he was more in agony rather than the young boy himself. Jeno had bent down and picked up the snacks fallen on the floor and shoved it into the young boy's arms. "He paid for it. Go. We'll talk at home."

Jisung nodded immediately and ran out of the convenience store. I totally forgot that Jess was in the store as well, but she didn't even care about what just happened. She tapped my shoulder as she had finished paying as well. I still stood in the same position as Jeno looked over at me with annoyed facial expression growing on his face. Donghyuck walked to the drink section to find what he was wanting, and I also made my way to buy the requested snacks. We both stood quietly along each other as our attention was towards each other.

"Why do you.."

Donghyuck didn't even listen to the rest of my question as he grabbed the two bottles of mango aloe water and walked away immediately. His footsteps were trudging heavily, and I got a glimpse of his depressed expressions. He smiled brightly after when he arrived to Jeno, paying for what he wanted to buy. I grabbed what I needed as well, and quickly paid. I turned to Jess as I handed her my snacks, "Jess, I need to talk with Donghyuck. Can you pass the snacks to Yeji?"

Jess nodded without a reply and left the store. Donghyuck and Jeno were already walking away from the store, when I ran after them. "Yah Donghyuck."

They both stopped walking, as the male turned to look at me. "What?"

"I want to talk with you."

Jeno groaned loudly, and turned his body to face to me. "He's busy with me. Now go away."

Donghyuck made a last glimpse, before following Jeno quietly after. I watched without a word as the rain slowly started to fall again. I then squinted to see Donghyuck making a sign with his fingers, indicating three fingers behind his own back. Jeno didn't notice anything as Donghyuck pretended to scratch his own back. He then made a peace sign before making his way across the street towards the school gates. Thirty-two? The one thing that only pops up would be room 32, the gym.
