♥️Seize Her Heart♥️
Ahoy there! This is a fanfiction based on Namygaga's one and only, Spinel's Gang. I can't promise it'll be 100% accurate, but I HAVE read her book and watched the vid and things, so it won't be a complete failure OwU. Get some oreos and some cold milk, and let's get into it.
Also, I will be making references to the originial book!
(Namy, if you see, please don't get mad 🤣🤣🤣)

"1,660."
Time was going slower and slower today, she could tell because she's been counting the seconds since her lover warped off once again. She was used to this, really, and so was the rest of her quartet. She had left all 4 of them all the time back when they first met her. They easily caught on that it was because she didn't necessarily like them. But when they first met her, they were attached. Spinel-IA was, actually, the most attached to her. She was in love with her, and wanted to win her heart.
It was love at first sight, if you wanna call it that. Since then she'd watch Spinel work her magic on the throne, working like a true ruler. That was very admirable, though Spinel didn't seem too amused when she was doing so, even a little uncomfortable that she was getting the lovey-dovey eyes from Spinel-IA, or just being watched in general. Ah, but she never once told her to leave, now did she? That was a good sign, and Spinel-IA took advantage of it.
She'd also stay closest to her those few times she let the Spinel-Quartet go along with her on the warp pad. On Earth, whenever they went on Funland's rides, she'd always be right next to her, hold on to her whenever they got on the roller coaster. Then she'd make them wait on Little Homeworld's roof, waiting for someone that she never specified. However she did notice the worry and distress on her face whenever they did do that, and she always be right beside her for that hour or until classes were over. Spinel-Ia never understood why but stopped asking questions seeing how it annoyed Spinel to a fault.
"You've been sitting here for a while." Spinel-IA flinches and turned behind her. Spinel-E looked at her curiously, hands behind her back and she was going back and forth on her toes, which resulted in dog-toy squeaks. "You're still waiting for her?"
She nodded. "Yeah. It feels like 6000 years." She groans impatiently and glances back at the warp pad as if Spinel magically appeared.
"Of course it feels like that when you're counting every individual second!" She jokes, pulling up the lovestruck gem. "Come with me so we can join Spinel-EE and Spinel-J. We've been wondering where you were, you're missing out on all the fun!"
"I know, it's just..." She took a deep breath and a blush spread across her face. "I think today is it."
Spinel-E gave her a look, but only a split second before grinning widely. "You're gonna confess?" She nodded shyly. "That's great!"
"But what if I get rejected?" She asked to herself, panicking a little. Just earlier she built up the confidence to sweep Spinel off her feet. Now, however, she was having quick second thoughts. Spinel-E wouldn't let her back out now.
"She won't. But if she does, then that's alright too." She reassures her fellow spinel. Spinel-IA looked back at the Spinel-less Warp Pad. She was having pre-confession anxiety. Then, a lightbulb flicked on inside Spinel-E's head. "I got an idea!" She exclaimed, Spinel-IA tilted her head.
"What?"
"You can make something for her to make your confession extra special!" She recommended cheerly, adding on a pose that ended with another squeak. "Like a...performance, which should come naturally!"
"Nah, we do that every day and she doesn't turn a head at us too often." Spinel-IA reminded blankly, but thinking. Maybe she could go with the show idea as a last resort, but that didn't seem too original. She knew Earth was romantic when it comes it these things but knew Spinel was probably there waiting on that mystery person- or gem- she didn't specify and would get caught red handed. Perhaps... "Hm...maybe all 3 of you can help me brainstorm. I really don't want to screw this up."
"And you're not going to!" She chirped. "We're a quartet for a reason. Spinel-J and Spinel-EE are in the other room."
They narrowed it down to...quite a lot, but she got the point. Spinel-E got a headstart with a cartwheel and was expecting to be followed so. Spinel-IA looked over her shoulder once again, and no Spinel. At this point, she was glad she hadn't come back yet.
***
The quartet were in a circle, more specifically a brainstorming one. Spinel-EE was lying on her stomache, Spinel-J crosslegged, Spinel-E had her legs tucked beneath her and Spinel-IA held hers up to her chest, her noodly arms wrapping around them a few times. They'd been doing this for quite a while and she was having a hard time choosing which idea was the most heart-warming because, really, all of them sounded fantastic. No way could she settle on only one.
They'd gone through a whole list-
Spinel-EE was on board with the whole 'performance' idea. Yes, it was pretty much their job to do things like that. But they hadn't ever done it in a love-struck way, or at least the way Spinel-IA planned on doing so. She did end up making love jokes, which did make the mood a lot lighter, and also eased away IA's preconfession anxiety.
Spinel-J went old fashioned with it. Valentine's Card, candy, flowers. She remembered those things from one of the first times Spinel allowed them to follow her on Earth, though she thinks it's because Whitearl was eyeing her from the corner. Cards, big heart-shaped boxes of chocolate (which they ended up feasting on, that didn't end well on Spinel's behalf) as well as huge bouquets of roses or so were the main things she saw that day. And everyone looked happy. There were gardens around the palace somewhere, they were sure. They were bound to find a flower that was the right shade of pink at some point.
Spinel-E was on a slight agreement with Spinel-EE, but did eventually come up with a plan B; massage. It was simple, but also they felt it was something Spinel needed considering she certainly didn't act like a spinel would usually act-- bouncy, hyper, happy 24/7-- and instead was depressed, stressed, and at times pretty mean (though it was mostlly the depressed thing). She could serenade her while doing so, buttering her up and she had the perk of getting close to Spinel. This idea in detail mad Spinel-IA's face turn a different shade of red.
All 3 of them were super romantic, at least in her eyes. Even though they were different buildups the goal was still was the same; to hope and pray to White Diamond that Spinel would at least like her in the slightest and accept her love invitation. After all, rejection was her worst fear. Besides, she needed to get it all set up, whichever one she chooses, before Spinel returned from wherever she went. Unless...
Maybe she was thinking too big?
N a h.
"Candles could be a good addition," Spinel-J added, tapping her chin. "I think she'll like them. Especially the scented ones."
"But aren't those on Earth?" Questioned Spinel-E. "And that's probably where she is now, looking for that mystery gem on Little Homeworld. We'd get caught going there, plus pretty much everything we've said requires Earth materials. Other than the massage and performance thing."
"It sounds perfect though..." Spinel-IA lowered her head quietly. Perhaps she'd just have to do it old school and cross her fingers for luck, with no surprise that would greater the chances of acceptence. But really, now that she thought about it, would that even make a difference? If Spinel didn't like her, than she didn't like her. She could throw a grand ball for her and she'd still get rejected, wouldn't she? That's the worst part about all this planning, that it probably wouldn't be worth it. In the end she'd still get her heart broken and Great Spinel would still see her as some gem.
She zoned out as the trio began throwing more ideas at her. Half of her mind was on the rejection, the other half on if it went smoothly and what built up to it. Actually, was going with all of their ideas, she thought. If one enabled a 25% chance of it going swell, all 3 should be 75% right? 100% if she adds her own little twist to it.
What it would be, she still had to figure out.
Or maybe today wasn't the day.
She knew this would be awkward for the both of them, especially if Spinel said she didn't return the gesture. Even if she did that Spinel-IA would still have lingering feelings for her that she couldn't hide. She made it a goal to win her heart, and even if it took 1 trillion rejections, she would still do it. After all, she wanted Spinel to be happy. Even after the outcome of this she would still do whatever it took. She wasn't bitter; a rejection from the love of her life wouldn't make her see Spinel any differently.
Then, her mindset went completely to the better outcome and her face heated up. Oh, the things they could do then that they can't do now...whatever those things may be, she certainly didn't know- at least she thinks she doesn't know. The main things were the perks of getting extra close, surprise kisses that she definitely didn't imagine happening in her head..., and she couldn't say the last one out loud.
Hopefully her gem didn't glow at that one.
"...Maybe we should, it'll make it a whole lot better if we did!" Spinel-IA's head perked up at the voice of Spinel-E. She was standing up with confidence as if she just declared war. She looked down at Spinel-IA, "What do you think?"
Clearly she had been too busy daydreaming to pay attention to their conversation. "What?"
"Us go to Earth!" Spinel-EE answered excitedly. "For surprise."
"We thought since she's too busy on Little Homeschool she wouldn't notice us, hopefully." Spinel-J explained more. "We may be alienated criminals, but we want everything to go right for you and Spinel, especially if it means using our willpower to bribe the humans, considering we don't actually have Earth currency..."
"But what if she comes back before we do and notices we're gone?"
"I don't think she'll notice, believe us."
Well, in a way that was true. She pretty much tried ignoring them in general so it wasn't like their disappearance would mean too much. In a way that was a bad thing but at the same time it would give them time. Spinel-IA had no better plan herself. Besides, her quartet looked so ecstatic to be able to visit Earth again since it had been a while, and perhaps they could manage to have a little for themselves. They were doing this for her after all, it was only fair they got something out of it.
Point was that they all agreed to it, just as long they were discreet with it..should be easy, right?
They all gathered on the warp pad, which lead them to the same spot they usually were when Spinel let them tag along; a hill that was just near Little Homeworld, which was where Spinel was currently sitting cross legged on the roof. Her head rested in her hands but it was clear she was disappointed or at least sad in a way.
She wasn't facing them at all, her eyes fixated on the classes going on below her. It must've been boring sitting there in the same spot for that long. Spinel-IA began wondering how long Spinel could stay in one spot without going absolutely crazy. Actually, for the average spinel gem, it would be...around 3 seconds before they go hyper all over again.
Then again, she wasn't the average spinel, apparently.
The other spinels had got a head start ahead of her. She just couldn't get moving the way she should've. Her mindset was on Spinel and who she was watching on the roof almost everyday. What was the significance of that person or gem anyways? If she didn't know any better, spinel looked down on whoever it was the same way Spinel-IA looked at her...
She really hoped she was wrong about her assumption.
She reluctantly, but eventually, took her eyes away from Spinel and focused on the task at hand. But still, her thought from earlier was still tucked in the back of her mind. There was a part of her that questioned that if Spinel was thinking of someone else, what would be the point of this whole thing. However she ignored that part. It was worth a shot at least.
Because they lacked money, or any sort of currency at that, the Quartet came up with a plan that Spinel-IA, being the "love" of the group, would flirt with the cashiers while the other 3 would get what they could and stuff it in their gems before they could get caught. It was uncomfortable actually, and it left a bad taste in her mouth. This repeated a couple of times.
The first place they went to was a dessert place (Spinel had allowed them on Earth for a while so they could go to Little Homeworld's roof, however, they eventually guilt-tripped her into letting them come here). There was a bigger variety of treats since they last come there; all of which they took generous samples of.
The next was where they got the scented candles and roses. Spinel-IA almost couldn't pull off distracting the clerk considering he seemed to have no interest in her. However she knew she had to commit to it, though in all honesty, she didn't think of him as Prince Charming either. Plus it disgusted her that she was wasting her charms on someone who didn't appreciate them
The sun was about to rest by now, and that wasn't good news for them. Spinel usually returned to Homeworld after this time, but then that meant no preparation for the whole confession thing. Whatever last touch, whatever idea, whatever plan Spinel-IA has in mind, she needed to be quick with it. Unfotunately, she didn't settle on one yet. She was just getting the basics done. However, there's no such thing as too big of a surprise...
Spinel-IA insisted on one last stop before they (secretly) warped back. And sure enough, that was the final peice to her plan to win Spinel's heart.
***
The palace was in a deadly silence. It made Spinel-IA nervous, having to wait there, but it shouldn't be long before there was the warp pad's sound. The ballroom was dimly lit, just enough to set the mood. She had asked the Diamonds to keep it clear for the day but never said why. She thought it was better they didn't know; One of their "Second Pink Diamond's" gifts trying to woo her didn't seem normal, at least in her eyes, when it comes to the Diamonds.
The rest of the quartet were watching with curious eyes in a place where they hopefully couldn't be seen. After all, if it went downhill, they at least could kick Spinel's ass and binge eat chocolates with Spinel-IA when the time comes ,right? Mostly that second part-
*click clack click clack*
The footsteps began as faint and almost inaudible.
*click clack click clack*
Spinel-IA gripped the roses tighter, her breath hiking.
*click clack click clack*
As the footsteps came closer, Spinel-IA could feel her own feet becoming frozen to the palace floor. But deep down she was proud of what she'd done; a trail of rose petals coming from the Warp Pad to the ballroom. Cliche, yes, but also romantic in a way.
*click clack...*
The footsteps were getting closer and closer. She couldn't back out now.
*click...clack...*
Were they getting slower? What if Spinel was having second thoughts-
*click...*
They seemed to go slower and slower, even worse, time seemed to have stopped the slower they got.
*clack...*
Spinel-IA's face turned a dark red (seemed like a habit she was doing daily), she gripped the roses even tighter than before, not even caring she nearly sucked the life out of them. Her instinct was to run and chicken out, but would that really be fair? All this work she had the quartet put into this and she was just gonna put it to waste? If she did that, she didn't think she was worthy of Great Spinel after all.
Spinel's face was showing off perplexity. But it also showed how flustered she was. Flattery, perhaps? She made her way in, though in a questioning manner, looking at the scenery. At this point Spinel-IA REALLY wanted to run out.
There was a good distance between them and they were face to face. Spinel was giving her an odd look, which read, 'What is this? What are you doing?'. Well, she was here. So why couldn't she say anything?
"I-" Spinel-IA took a deep breath and went forward. Spinel took a short step back. This wasn't look good at all...but hey, this is just the beginning, yeah? Maybe this was sign she was going too fast... "I got these for you..." She says shyly, pushing the hot pink bouquet in her direction. Spinel flinched, just staring at them with wide eyes. Spinel-IA noticed the uncertainty and nervousness Spinel was with-holding. Did she not like them? Did she want another color? So many questions, and they were all attacking her confidence one by one.
"..."
"..."
Spinel finally (shakily) accepting them, but Spinel-IA knew better. She knew she only did that so she wouldn't make Spinel-IA feel bad. At this point she was getting mixed signals, and it was slowly biting off her confidence. "Thanks." Spinel said dryly, though in a polite way. However she added on, "What are you supposed to be doing? Did you make that trail just to give me these?"
That seemed like the plan here considering this next move was a big one. Spinel-IA closed the space between them, taking a deep breath as her face darkened again, taking Spinel's free hand and putting it on her waist. She heard the roses immediately drop to the floor. This was so embarassing...
"No, there's more..." She admits quietly, noticing Spinel was turning pink herself, however she looked flustered, embarrassed even. Spinel-IA herself almost passed out having her lover's touch on such a place. Actually, now that she thought about it, Spinel and her barely swept fingers. The only physical contact they had was when the quartet bomboarded her with hugs she didn't want. Then again, that was a group hug. That wasn't personal touch. She used her other hand to intertwine with Spinel's, it was then she felt her body shiver. Chills went up her spine- if she even had one- but they were...good chills.
Loving chills.
Spinel hadn't said another word. She didn't need to. Her facial expressions said it all. Had she any idea what Spinel-IA was trying to pull over her? She hoped she did. If she knew that this was a confession...she hadn't pulled away yet, that's a good sign. Spinel-IA took a deep breath and slightly pulled Spinel inward, closer to her, and took a step. This was awkward...
The pace at first could be considered slow and steady, which was understandable. She needed time to warm up to things considering she saw none of this coming. It was like they were doing a slow-burn fusion, one where it was pretty much one-sided in this case. Spinel put a few more inches between them to show how uncomfortable she was. Spinel-IA almost took it personally, but remembered how reluctant she was with 4 random spinels hugging on her. Shouldn't be different with 1.
Gradually the pace began going faster and soon enough, Spinel was being just as committed as Spinel-IA. Spinel-IA's once broken confidence sprouted back up drastically. She giggled happily, something she hadn't done with Spinel alone, as she as she let go of her waist so her relased hand to grab Spinel's other.
Behind the scenes were the rest of the quartet, watching everything while hidden from sight. And to be honest they were mentally dying because of how awkward the first half was. But now? They couldn't help but be happy for Spinel-IA. Spinel-J and Spinel-EE being more ecstatic than Spinel-E considering they were in a relationship themselves (whilst Spinel-E...not so much...yet) and this was like a proud mother watching her child going to school for the first time.
Both of the dancing spinel's laughter filled the ballroom (even though it was Spinel-IA doing most of the giggling and laughs). Holding each other, smiling, dancing to their own rhythm. The best part was, Spinel had a beautiful smile, and an oh-so-sexy laugh that sent chills in her body.
For once, she actually saw happiness on Spinel's usually depressed face.
And that was what let her know she had done the right thing.
At this point they were doing their own special dance, which they had no problem with. At least Spinel didn't. They were having such a good time that Spinel-IA almost forgot the whole reason she brought her here. She held Spinel close, putting their routine to a pause, and took a deep breath. There was a look of confusion on the below-spinel's face, or maybe it was realization, she really couldn't tell.
A bold move she was making, but she felt a sense of pride doing this. If anything she expected for Spinel to take lead. Well, a part of her did. Spinel would be the dominant one, she the submissive. Oh but how the tables have turned...
Spinel-IA gathered her courage and ended this in the cliche way possible, "Spinel...there's something I wanted to tell you, the real reason I've brought you here."
'I think I'm gonna be sick...'
"I've...had this feeling when I first laid my eyes on you...and even though it wasn't a long time, I still knew it was you I wanted to be with."
Spinel gives her a look she can't quite decipher.
"S-so with the rest of the quartet's help..." Come on, Spinel-IA, go for it! "It's helped me work of the courage to actually tell you.." Her breathing hiked a mile during this whole speech. Gosh, why was it so easy for a human to do this but she can't even say 3 simple words?!
Spinel-IA blushed heavily as she leaned down closer to her, her gem glowing slightly in sync with a blushing Spinel's as she moved lower.
"That..."
Her gem glowed brighter and her blush went darker.
"I love you."
Her forehead touched Spinel's, a loving touch she'd ached for so long.
She'd done it. She'd confessed.
Their boding glowed brightly and sent an illuminating aura around them. They were fusing, weren't they? They were fusing! This wasn't planned, but it was surely one of the best things that could've happened that night...
That was, until they exploded.
Spinel-Ia and Spinel hit the floor. Spinel-IA rubbed her head from the sudden blast and sighed. What happened, she thought. Was that how it worked, was she doing it right? She saw on the other side a wide-eyed, panicked Spinel, breathing heavily in surprise.
Great, she went too fast.
"I-I gotta go-" She said as quickly a possible and ran as fast as her legs could take her.
"Spinel! Wait!" Spinel-IA called after her in worry, worried she had ruined her one chance. God, she's such a screw up... 'Stupid, stupid, stupid! You shouldn't have done that! Now she hates you!' She runs after her, right on her tail. She had to make this right, she had to. If she didn't, this would be an awkward era for her and Spinel. Imagine almost being kissed by one of your own subjects and having to deal with that, knowing that subject is obssessed with you like some creepy fangirl? That even after this you're still in their dreams. You were still their obsession. That they're probably still having dirty thoughts about you, which was even worse.
'If she rejects me, I definitely deserve it...'
She sighs to herself. She fucking blew it.
She keeps after Spinel, who hadn't dared look back but knew of her presence. Spinel-IA had half a mind to give up, cry for a few decades, then try again. But she was no coward.
The final stop was none other than Spinel's room, who was going so fast she didn't realize she hadn't shut the door all the way. She stopped in the middle of the room, face hidden in her palms. Spinel-IA slowly went in but stopped in the doorway to listen. The sounds she was hearing broke her.
They were crying noises.
Sniffles, whimpers, and she could've sworn Spinel was beating herself up under her breath.
What had she done to her?
"No..no...no..." She muttered repeatedly.
"Spinel...I'm...I'm sorry..." Spinel-IA sighs again with her head down. She moves forward, shakily. "I-I really am...I've just been waiting for so long and...when I saw how happy you were, your beaming smile..."
Spinel raises up her face, but doesn't look at Spinel-IA.
"It was so enchanting th-that it gave me the confidence I needed so...I did it. The fusing I didn't intend, but I was excited when it almost happened. Though..." She holds her breath. "I can see it made you uncomfortable...and if you hate me, I understand. I just wanted you to know how I really felt about you.."
She almost cried from embarrassment, really, she was tempted. And she almost did. She rubs her arm shyly, feeling horrible about this situation. But at least now she can sleep knowing she'd got this off her chest and knows how Spinel really felt.
"...Why?" Came a cracked voice. Spinel-IA looked up and saw Spinel giving her a pitiful look, shoulders slumped. She could see a few wet stains tracing down her face.
"Huh?"
"Why do you...love me?"
That definitely caught her off gaurd. Not because she didn't have a reason, but because there were too many for her to explain.
"Spinel, that question has indefinite answers." Spinel-IA answers.
"I don't get it...You guys do all you can to keep me happy, and I push you aside and treat you like shit." She fake laughs softly. "God, I hated you guys. Even if I don't hate you as much now...I've come to appreciate it, actually, it still doesn't make up for anything." Spinel then glances to the side, avoiding contact with her crush. "I'm not attractive, I haven't been the nicest gem to you, I don't have any reason to deserve your love, Spinel-IA. You've fallen in love with the wrong gem."
That's when Spinel-IA went to her. She gives her a soft smile and interwines her fingers with Spinel's. "There's so much to love about you, I can't explain it. Your assertiveness, your dominance, your looks, your attitude, not to mention you have such a dazzling smile and a beautiful laugh you need to use more often. And the list goes on. There's no number that can count the number of reasons I fell in love with you...and I'm definitely in love with the right gem...the perfect gem. But the question is...will you accept my love?"
Spinel says nothing.
"Just know..." Spinel-IA adds on softly, lightly massaging Spinel's finger with her thumb. "Even if you don't feel the same way, I'll still love you. Always will. And it won't change my views on you in any way."
She sniffs again and looks back at her. Spinel's face was unreadable, but she was staring Spinel-IA down like a hawk. This was a tense moment that Spinel and Spinel-IA couldn't get out of. Was this a rejection, she thinks. If it was, that would explain why her gem felt like it was cracking into peices.
"How do I know..." Spinel began quietly. "This won't end like it did with her..."
Spinel-IA was confused. "Her?" 'Fuck...she's had someone before me, hadn't she?!'
"How do I know you're not just trying to play me like Pink did?"
Spinel-IA had no idea who Pink was. Yes, she knew Spinel earned her 'Great Spinel' title for a replacement for this mystery Diamond. But other than that, she had no clue. Still, deep down she had a feeling this Pink gem had something to do with Spinel and her attitude towards others.
"I'm not playing you. What exactly are you trying to say I'm doing? Are you saying that I'm lying just because? That I'm just winning your heart just to throw it down and step on it? Spinel, whatever Pink, whoever that is, did...I won't do to you. Never. If anything, its you doing it to me I should be worrying about." She says that last part in a joking manner, but Spinel doesn't know that.
When she doesn't reply, that's when the interrogation started. "...Is Pink the reason why you're like this?"
"Like...?"
"Depressed, doesn't trust me or anybody to be honest, and we've noticed you're not like other spinels." Spinel-IA questions. She knew she was getting somewhere. "I almost couldn't believe that you WERE a spinel. You're not happy, apparently. You're not that much into games...and, your gem...it's not supposed to be upside down, is it?"
Spinel looks down and shuts her eyes tightly, and sure enough, hot tears were aching to leak down her face. Her eyes widened in realization. Of course something's happened...something the quartet doesn't know about. Oh but Pink, she was certainly the main deal. And whatever she did? Spinel-IA would make her pay for it. Bigtime.
"Tell me where Pink is, right now." That was more of a demand than anything. Spinel looked back at a pissed off Spinel-IA, who hadn't been known to be angry at someone. This was the first time she'd seen her like this.
"Spinel-IA, it's fine now..."
"No, it's not. If she hurts you, she hurts me. And I'm gonna make sure she knows how it feels."
"Spi-"
"Tell me so I can give it to her. Now."
"She's dead." Spinel says blankly.
Spinel-IA blinks, dumbfounded. "She...huh? You shattered her?"
"No, I wish I could've though..." Spinel sighs sadly. "She went to Earth and got pregnant by a human, however she had to give up her form to give birth to Steven...who had nothing to do with what she did but I still almost killed him and his planet because of my vengeance. Not only did I reset his friends, but I also poisoned his planet..."
'....She...wait a minute...'
"You know a gem hybrid? Where is he now? How did Earth survive-"
"He had healing spit, apparently. He managed. And as for where he is now...honestly? Probably dead too. He's half human, so either way, that day would've came. It's sad, actually. The last I saw him was after he turned into a monster. I didn't even know he left Beach City..." Spinel's voice cracked and she sounded heartbroken. "Bummer...I actually had a small crush on him that I eventually got over..."
Spinel-Ia felt a sort of pity for her. She gets mistreated, her mistreater dies, and she takes her anger out on her son. Turns out she falls in love with him but he leaves her without saying goodbye. That honestly...was sad.
"You only wanted to hurt him because he was Pink's son...?" She asks.
"I didn't want to hurt him." Spinel admits. "I wanted to hurt Pink...for leaving me. For lying to me. And for taking advantage of me...and I know you've been wondering this...I was actually one of you at some point."
Well, she knew THAT by now.
"Rubberhose design, heart shaped buns, my gem was the right side. I used to love games, whether it was tag or hide and seek. Whatever Pink wanted to do, I'd do it. I was created to be her playmate and I really loved my job. Hell, my own weakness was games. Which is probably why I was so GULLIBLE to her..."
"...What happened?"
"Oh nothing...just told me to stay still and that she'd come back. Stood in that garden for 6000 years. Didn't move. After all, I wanted to win the game..." She laughs pitifully and looks at Spinel-IA. "Can you believe it? Gosh, I was hella stupid. Psh...and then I saw Steven's message to Homeworld, I guess I just snapped. I tried to kill Earth, yadda yadda...and I was back to my old self. Didnt get the heart buns back, I thought that was fucking stupid. And really, you look exactly like me back then. I guess overtime I just became the Second Pink Diamond. Taking my anger out on you guys for trying to help me."
She began laughing again, which scared poor Spinel-IA. She was suffering right now, why was she laughing? Tears rolled down her face as she covered her eyes, laughing still. Spinel-IA could see right through her act. "Man...see this monster you're in love with?!" Spinel laughed. "You're fucking crazy for even liking me in the slightest!"
"Huh." Spinel-IA says casually. She then grabs Spinel by her cheeks, ending her laughing. Spinel looks at her confused. "I guess I'm insane then." Spinel-IA then suddenly leans in and kisses Spinel.
Yes, she kisses this monster. She kisses a gem who almost killed an innocent planet, she kisses a gem who had been ignoring them for a while since they got there, she even kisses the gem who probably hated her.
But, she was also kissing a gem who had been hurt, traumatized even. A gem who probably didn't even know the meaning of the word 'love' anymore.
And this was also the gem she was in love with.
She parts them, looking at Spinel's appalled face. "If you want me to be insane for loving you, I will be. You had every right to be angry...no one should've gone through what you did. Don't make yourself the monster you think you are."
Spinel has eyebags by now, probably from exhaustion. Still, Spinel-IA still saw a beautiful gem she loved dearly.
"About what happened in the ballroom..." Spinel back tracks awkwardly.
"Don't worry about it. We're not in there anymore, we're here~"
"R-right..." She gulps, and Spinel-IA pulls her in close. She kisses her once again and lets her rest on the comfy bedside. There, she gave Spinel more kisses; on the neck, on the face, and she figured she especially loved it on her gem. With that little fact, she could surely have fun with this.
"Hey, hey," Spinel stops her from trailing warm kisses down her neck in realization. "Where's the others?"
Spinel-IA smirks at her. "Somewhere, which is a good thing. After all, they don't needa see what we're boutta do..."
***
From that point out, the names Spinel and Spinel-IA became known as a pair rather than a ruler and her subject. Spinel-IA ended up making a new nickname for herself just for laughs, Great Spinel's Queen, which no one really took seriously. However in a way, she was Spinel's queen. And this meant she took advantage of being in a relationship with her.
This included randomly going to Earth alone, putting seductive moves on her (regardless if it's alone or in public, she didn't care), and got the rest of the quartet extra perks. It either took some begging or a few kisses...but she got it done.
Spinel also got a good part of this. Not just the constant affection from Spinel-IA, but also the fact she knew she could move on from Pink and Volley (Volley whom she had a crush on for a long time...she eventually told Spinel-IA about it). The main thing she hated was that Spinel-IA wasn't picky when it comes to where they made out; even while doing her duties, she'd try kissing her neck or rub her leg just because she could. Of course Spinel would try ignoring her...no matter how hard that was. Though she had to admit that Spinel-IA's seemingly high libido had it's perks in private...
The fusion worked out as well; S-IA was a known gem Cupid and even though she didn't appear often, the Homeworld gems knew she was good news.
Finally, as for that final gift Spinel-IA had...she held off on it for a week or so. After all, she couldn't propose when she had just got together with her beloved, now could she~? But when she did the following week...needless to say, Spinel thought it was a little fast but went along with it anyways. At some point, Spinel-IA even asked about having gemlings (when she announced that Spinel nearly choked on air), to which the rest of the quartet started looking forward to. Spinel didn't give a clear answer, with a , "We'll...see...".
Of course to Spinel-IA, that meant yes, so you can tell where that went from there.
Finally, Each night she could crawl in bed with Spinel, holding her tightly, and be proud of herself. She had successfully managed to seize her heart.

THE END!
NOTE: Like I said in the beginning, I do not own Spinel's Gang or any of the characters. If you wish I take it down, let me know.
This has to be the highest # of words I've typed; literally almost 7000. But is it worth it? You tell me UwU
Keep calm and sleep on!
