(L/N)'s PoV

So, the next day, Masuda and I went out. We just went to a nearby shopping street so we could walk around and chat.

"So, (L/N), what would you like to do first?" He asked me as we roamed around.

"Uhm, shop?" I asked in a weirded out tone.

"Seriously? You know, there are also good places here for food! There's even an arcade! Are you sure you want to shop now? We'll be here until afternoon." He said.

"On second thought, let's just to the arcade." I said.

"Okay, follow me." He said then walked a grin on his face.

I don't really understand how he's going to prove that men can be dependable, but I'm going to see what he does with this opportunity of his.

So, after going to the arcade, we went to eat at a small outdoor ramen stall.

"Seriously? I'm not that average girl who thinks men are dreamy just because they win me something from the arcade." I said as I held the stuff toy he got me.

"I know. I didn't give that to make you like me. I gave it to you so you would realize something." He said.

"Make me realize something? What's that?" I asked.

"That's for me to know, and you to find out." He said with a smirk.

"Fine." I said.

"Two miso ramen large!" The waiter said.

"Over here!" Masuda said.

"Enjoy your meal!" The waiter said as he placed the ramen on the table in front of us.

"So, how are you enjoying this so far?" He asked as he split some chopsticks and handed them to me.

"Enjoying what?" I asked as I accepted the chopsticks.

"The date."

"It's not half-bad, but I expected more charm from a voice actor. I feel like I'm hanging out with a friend." I admitted.

"Then my plan works. Success, Masuda Toshiki." He praised himself then split another pair of chopsticks.

"What plan?" I asked.

"My secret date plan." He said with a wink.

I just rolled my eyes then ate my ramen.

"If you consider this date as a "plan", then sorry, pal. It's not working." I said.

"But you don't know my plan. How are you so sure that it's not working?" He asked with a smirk.

"Was that a challenge question or just something to intimidate me?"

"Hmm.. maybe both." He said with a small laugh.

I just shrugged off what he said.

"Anyways,... you're a voice actor, right? Don't you have work?" I asked.

"I've took care of that before I came back here. It's my hiatus so I should be aboe to enjoy before I go back to my sleepless nights in Tokyo." He said.

"Seriously? Sleepless? Not even like an hour of sleep?" I asked.

"Well, there are rare cases that I have completely no sleep, but I regularly get sleep from 6 hours to 1." He said.

"Ohh. Me too, but I never have sleepless nights. I've never experienced back-aching schedules anyways." I said.

"Well, your job is pretty simple." He said.

"True. It doesn't require that much effort and time like yours." I said.

"So we're comparing jobs now, are we?" He asked.

"Then what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Hmm... nothing as of the moment. Let's just finish our meals then have a stroll and chat before I bring you home." He said with a smile.

Darn. I'm not sure if Masuda is tricking me. He seems like a nice person, but I don't really have a clear idea of what his motive is. I can't tell if he just wants to play me or he really has a plan.

Well, whatever the case is, I know I'm going to be stuck in this contract relationship for a while.
