Okamoto's PoV

So, (L/N)-san and I have been going out for a couple of months now. I've really learned to like her. She's an amazing person. Today, we were out on a park date. We were currently chatting and walking around.

"I feel refreshed to see you like this, Okamoto-kun. Usually, I'd see you look stressed or too formal, but today, you seem a lot more casual. I like that." She said as she walked.

"I feel refreshed seeing you like this too, (L/N)-san. I feel like we're really close now." I said.

"But we are close. Aren't we?" She said.

"Yeah, we are. I felt so much better when I started telling you about my problems." I said.

"Me too." She said.

"So, uhm, are you free this Saturday? I'd like you to taste a cake that I recently baked. I was hoping you could visit me at work." I said.

"Ah, I'll check my schedule first.. You're working at the post office that day, right?" She asked then checked her phone.

"Mhm." I replied.

"Okay, I'm free. It's my day off." She said.

"That's great. I can't wait for you to see it." I said with a smile.

(L/N)'s PoV

So, it was finally Saturday and I decided to dress up a bit. I wore a [favorite color] shirt, a [color that matches your favorite color] skirt, and a [favorite shoes/shoe brand].

Honestly, I was so nervous. I was excited to see him on my day off, but it was my first time to visit him at work. I couldn't stop fidgeting my fingers on the bus ride to the post office.

Currently, I was debating with myself if I should call Okamoto-kun and tell him that I was already outside or if I should just walk in and find him.

"Oh, hey, (F/N)!"

"Wah!- wait, [friend's name]? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I work here. I told you that, remember?" He said.

"Did you? Wait. Were you the one who set Okamoto-kun on the blind date?" I asked.

"Yup. [other friend's name] and I set you two up." He said.

"Well, thanks. I think I really like Okamoto-kun. I'm glad you guys introduced him to me." I said.

"No problem. I'm sure he feels the same way about you." He said with a smile.

I sure hope so.

"Okamoto-kun's already inside. Come with me. I'll show you his room." He said as he entered the building while I silently followed.

"Hey, Okamoto-kun, (F/N)'s here!" [friend's name] said as we entered Okamoto-kun's office.

"Oh, hey, (L/N)-san." He greeted me.

"Hi." I replied.

"Would you like a tour around the post office?" Okamoto-kun offered.

"Only if you're not too busy." I said.

"It's fine. I don't have much work today." He said.

"I'll pass. I have a big load today. Have fun you two!" [friend's name] bid then walked out.

"So, shall we get started?" Okamoto-kun asked.

"Sure." I said then followed him to the door.

He suddenly held my hand before going out.

"W-Wha—" I flinched from his sudden action.

"It's better like this. Many people might flirt with you or you might get lost, so don't let go of my hand, okay?" He said with a smile.

"O-Okay.." I replied then followed him out.

"Wow. That's.. a lot of mail." I said as we entered a room full of boxes and papers scattered on all the desks.

"Here's where we organize the mail. It's a heavy job, but we do our best to get them done with our teamwork." Okamoto-kun said.

"Hey, Moto-kun! Ah, is she the (F/N) that [friend's name] keeps on talking about?" A guy asked Okamoto-kun.

"Ah, yes. [Random name], this is (L/N)-san. (L/N)-san, this is [random name]." Okamoto-kun introduced.

"Nice to meet you." He greeted with a bow.

"Nice to meet you." I replied with a bow as well.

"So, how is Moto-kun? Is he as troublesome as he is at work? Hahaha!" Okamoto-kun's friend asked.

"He's really nice. He's a kind guy." I said.

"Ah, that's good to hear. How long have you guys been dating?" He asked.

"Six months or something." Okamoto-kun answered.

"Seriously? Aren't you two boyfriend and girlfriend yet?" Okamoto-kun's friend asked.

"Well, not yet." Okamoto-kun said as he scratched the back of his neck.

I was too embarrassed to answer actually. It wasn't only because it was my first time at Okamoto-kun's workplace, or because it's my first time talking to his co-worker, or because he was asking questions about our relationship, but it was also because of how tightly Okamoto-kun held onto my hand.

His hand was so warm. I feel safer that way, but very embarrassed as well.

"Ah, (L/N)-san and I should get going." Okamoto-kun said.

"Sure. I hope you enjoy your tour around the factory!" His friend bid as we walked out of the room and into another.

After exploring the post office, we went back to his room to have the cake that he kept telling me about.

"Hey, (L/N)-san."

"Yeah?"

"Since we've been dating for a while now, feel free to call me by my name." He said.

"O-Okay. You can call me by my first name as well, N-Nobu-kun." I said.

"Hehe, well, (F/N)-san—"

"Please don't add '-san'. I feel old when you do." I said.

"Okay. So, (F/N)-chan, do you like macarons?" Nobu-kun asked as he took out a box from a mini fridge in his room.

"Yeah. I like them a lot." I said.

"Then, please do the honors of opening the box." He said with a smile as he placed the box on his desk then backed away for me to open it.

I nervously removed the ribbon, then took off the cover of the box. My eyes immediately widened when I saw what was on the cake. It was a line written with icing.

「俺の彼女になりたい欲しいのか？」
Do you want to be my girlfriend?

I couldn't contain the happiness I was feeling.

"It's a little lame, but.. I hope you'll accept-"

"Of course, I'd want to be your girlfriend!" I said then hugged him.

"Uh, hehe, I promise I'll treat you well." He said then hugged back.

I didn't think twice to accept his offer. I'd love to be next to him most of the time. I feel glad when I'm around him since I can't help but think of happy things when he smiles.

World, kick me. Ayu is making me fall in love with him when I'm working on Nobu (ノ_＜)

It's amazing that he gap between me and Ayu is thirteen years and two days :P

It's also weird when I see myself update. I mean, since Okamoto-san is my profile picture and I'm updating his feature, it looks like he's publishing his own story (ノ_＜)
