A couple of months later...

"(F/N)! (F/N), (F/N), (F/N)!" Nobu yelled as he jumped and jumped on our bed.

"Ugh. Go back to sleep, child!" I said frustratedly.

"But it's 9 am!" He yelled.

"Ugh! Shut up! I wanna sleep!" I yelled then grabbed a pillow to cover my face.

"But it's your—"

"It's because it's my birthday that's why I deserve my sleep, plus I came home late last night remember? I had to fill in for a coworker's night shift." I said.

"Yeah, but I wanna celebrate your birthday! I have everything planned out! Come on!" He insisted for the nth time.

"Fine. Ten more minutes." I said.

"Okay, I'm gonna go take a shower—"

"No. Stay and stroke my hair." I commanded.

"Okay~ I'll stay." He said as he laid back down then kissed the back of my head.

I then closed my eyes and enjoyed a few more minutes of dreaming.

So, after sleeping for a few minutes, I got ready, ate breakfast, then went out with Nobu.

"Nobu, where are we going?" I asked.

"(F/N),... First, you're not Dora, and second, I'm not obliged to tell you." He said as his grip on my hand tightened.

"Pshhh, you know I don't like surprises." I said with a pout.

"Yeah, but I like teasing you."
He said with a cheeky grin as we entered a restaurant.

After eating some of my favorite foods, we headed to the park to walk around.

"Do you remember this park?" He asked.

"Uhm, it's where we went through to go to our first date, right?" I asked.

"Mhm, and this is now our nth date." He said.

"Meaning?"

"It's been like.. almost ten years from the day we saw each other." He said.

"Oh yeah. We've known each other for a really long time." I said.

"And we're going to keep on knowing each other." He said with a smile.

"Of course." I replied with a grin.

"Now, let's go back to our apartment. My last surprise is there." He said as he dragged me back to our apartment.

"You just stay there and watch or read something. I'll tell you when you can go to the kitchen." Nobu said as he kissed my forehead then headed to the kitchen to prepare his 'surprise'.

I was watching some Haikyuu!!. Come to think about it, Nobu has come a long way in voice acting. I'm really proud of him, and I'm glad that I was able to help him become a voice actor.

If Nobu hadn't gone on the blind date, or asked me out again, I'd probably as lonely as I was back then. I probably wouldn't have lived my life the way I wanted to or did the things I wanted to do. I'm grateful for Nobu.

"(F/N), you can come out now." He said.

When I walked out of our room, I looked at the dining table to see.

"Will you marry me?"

written on the cake, with a fake ring box on top.

"Nobu, the ring is real, right?" I asked with a laugh.

"Of course haha!" He said.

"You idiot, of course I'll marry you." I said as I hugged him.

"Thank you, (F/N)." He said as he higged back.

"No,.. thank you, Nobu for coming into my life. For believing in me and loving me for who I am."

My birthday. One of those days when I reminisce a lot and try to be on par with Nobu in terms of love and affection, but he always captures my heart before I can capture his.

This may be a simple celebration, but... if you're with the one you love, everything is extraordinary in your eyes.

Thank you for staying by my side all these years.

I really hope that you can still love me even if there are times that I ignore you because I'm busy from work, but of course, I will do everything I can for you. :)

I'm glad I fell in love with you. I'm glad I accepted the blind date.

I'm really glad that I have you in my life. I am so blessed to have you by my side.

Now, when I permanently wake up to your face every morning, I will attack you with a million kisses!
