And so after that holiday trip, the bond between us was closer than ever. There were even times when Tetsuya wouldn't let me go home and I would pinch his nose for that.

Today, when I went to work at the restaurant that I do entertainment service for, there were so many cameramen and reporters outside.

"So you're telling me the girlfriend of the Kakihara Tetsuya works here?" A reporter said.

Oh crap. I gotta run.

Just as I was about to escape, my boss called me.

"There she is right now! Hey, (L/N)!" My boss called.

As I turned to look back, all the reporters and cameramen were running after me.

"Miss! Miss!"

I did my best to ignore them and kept running, and then I got pulled by someone into a corner.

"Mm-!" I was about to yell when the person put their hand over my mouth.

"Shh. It's me."

"Tetsuya?" I whispered back.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was going to head to your place, but then you weren't there so I headed to your workplace, but you weren't there yet either and I saw those crazy media people so I hid here while waiting for you." He said.

"Are you crazy? They could've seen you!" I whisper-yelled.

"Well, at least I saved you from them." He said.

"Good point." I said as I looked back out from the corner where we hid.

"We better run before they start searching nearby areas. If they're desperate, they'll come back and search every nook and corner." I said as I pushed Tetsuya to go out through the other side of the corner.

As we did, someone tapped my back which made me scream, but get cut off by the person covering my mouth.

"Nee-san, it's just us."

"[younger brother's name]?!? [Kakihara's sister's name]? You guys scared the heck out of me! Don't sneak out on us like that!" I scolded.

"Nee-san, follow us." [Kakihara's sister's name] said as she grabbed my hand and ran with Tetsuya and my brother following behind us.

A few minutes later, we arrived at my brother's apartment.

"Thanks. We owe you guys." I said as my brother gave me a glass of water.

"It's the least we could do since you could be pretty mad at what we're going to tell you." Tetsuya's sister said.

Tetsuya and I panicked. We threw tons of questions at them.

"You're pregnant?"

"You lost your virginity?"

"You two did it?"

"You cheated on her?"

"You cheated on him?"

"You cheated on each other?"

"You lost your job?"

"You need money?"

"Your rent is too high?"

"You have a stalker?-"

"(F/N)-nee, Tetsu-nii, we're getting married!" They yelled to stop us from asking.

Both of us had our eyes wide open.

"S-Seriously!?" I asked as I stood up.

They nodded in response.

"C-C-Congratulations! Tetsuya and I a-are so ha-happy for you." I said as I pulled Tetsuya up from his chair to gesture to congratulate them.

"A-Ah, yeah. C-Congratulations." He said with a half-hearted smile then glared at me which I shrugged off.

"Oh, damn. I'm getting old." I said then greedily drank my can of beer.

After our siblings helped us and told us their great news, we went to Tetsuya's place... to drink alcohol as usual. -_-

"Our siblings are seriously getting married.. That's crazy. I mean, they're younger than us. They met about three years ago or something. They're still young." Tetsuya said then drank a large portion of his beer.

"Yes. 30 is still young, so it means we are already old even if it's just a few years older. Time is really flying by." I said as I put down my can.

"Do you wanna get married?" He asked.

"Well, I don't really think about the future that much so I haven't thought if I wanted to get married or to have kids or anything like that." I said.

"Then about the media that always chases after me.. if we get married, will you be able to keep your cool with them? Will you be able to endure how annoying and irritating they can get?" He asked.

"For myself, I don't think I could. I might chase them away with a pitchfork. But I could try for you." I said.

"Really? You'd resist fighting the media for me? Then let's—"

"Sorry. I'm not marrying you.. yet. I'm not ready for that kind of life. I'm not ready to depend everything on you. I might be over thirty, but my mind and heart is still that of a teenager. I still want to enjoy reckless adult life. But.. someday, I do want to have a future with you." I said.

".. I was gonna say let's plan our future, but okay. I'll wait." He said.

"I don't want to wait for my future. I want my future to wait for me." I said with a smile.

"Okay. Let's live our life and see where it takes us.. is that what you mean?" Tetsuya asked as he moved his face closer to me, smiling like an idiot.

"Yes. It's exactly what I mean." I said then closed the gap between us.

I only have one life and I want to live it the way I want to,.. with you, Tetsuya.
