九。ダンスの勝負「蒼井翔太」

Currently, one of Shouta's best friends. They got to know each other when she auditioned to be his backup dancer. Ever since then, they got to know each other and gave each other advice. Shouta even talked her in to being an official artist/singer and today, both of them are signed to the same label and see each other at work everyday.

They have become very close friends from that time and frequently ask each other advice and today, it was Aoi's turn to ask.

"(F/N)!!" He called out to the girl who was taking a break in the coffee room.

"Shouta! Nice to see you!" She greeted.

"I need your help~!!" Shouta said as he jumped and jumped.

"Hold on. Okay, what seems to be the problem?" She asked with a concerned look.

"Please, please, please, please, please, teach me how to dance!" He said as he bowed at every 'please' he said.

"Hah?" She asked confusingly.

"I want to win a dance competition!" He exclaimed with a semi-pout.

"Why? Not that I don't want to help you, but why would you want to win a competition? And why ask help from me?" She asked.

"Well, I lost in truth or dare to Morikubo-san and I have to do a bet." He said.

"What's the bet?" She asked; curious of what crazy deal Morikubo-san came up with.

"If I win the competition, I have to confess to the girl I like." He said as he looked straight into her eyes.

"Can't you just join and lose instead so you don't have to do that?" She questioned.

"Nooooo!!!" He said as he sat across her.

"Why not? I think it's fine to lose sometimes."

"Because they will take away my wardrobe and cellphone if I don't win! Please!! You have to help me!! You're the best dancer I know!" He said as he grabbed her hands and begged.

"Well.. if you put it that way, I suppose best dancer you know would help." She said with a smirk plastered on her face.

"Really!? Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!" He said as he squeezed her hands and smiled widely.

"But wait, who are the 'they' that you're talking about?" She asked.

"Morikubo-san, Suzuki-san, and Maeno-san." He replied with a pout.

"Sheesh. That definitely seems like them. Such bullies our senpais are~" She said.

(F/N)'s PoV

Shouta decided he would dance to Innocent Wind. I told him that I could just help polish his steps that were made for the Maji Love Live 5th Stage Event.

Today, we were meeting at a nearby dance studio. Good thing the rent was cheap since we're both famous voice actors haha. We weren't going to stay that long either so I guess that's also a reason why it's cheap.

"Try flexing your body more." I instructed as I watched him dance.

"You get stiff when the dance move consists of moving the hips or chest, but it's good that you're doing your best. Try to do some flexibility exercises like stretching and hula-hooping." I suggested.

"Okay." He said as he kept on doing all he can to improve.

The next few days as we met up to practice, I couldn't help but think,.. who is this girl that he likes?

He's been telling me things about this girl and I can't help but feel hurt inside.

No, I don't know if I like him that way, but I did have a very little crush on him when we first met. I thought that he was really cute, sweet, and charming. Actually,.. I still do.

We kept practing for about a month, then came the week of the competition.

"(F/N)! What do I do? I think she's really kind and cute, but I don't think she'll accept my confession even if I win the contest!" He groaned with a pout as he laid down on the cold studio floor.

"Well, if she's as nice as you say, I'm sure she will." I said as I laid on the floor right next to him.

"You really think so?" He asked anxiously.

"Geez. You're too conscious!" I exclaimed as I lightly hit his arm.

"I can't believe that the competition is tomorrow." He said.

"Don't worry. You'll do great. You've worked hard." I said then stood up to get my bag and headed for the door, but stopped for a moment.

"And oh, if you don't win and lose all your stuff, I'll be happy to own them and give them back after you finally win a bet!" I teased then walked out.

I heard him groan a bit before I walked towards the elevator.

"Tomorrow's the day, huh?.. oh well. It was nice meeting you,.. Shouta."

Today is the day. I'm here backstage in Shouta's dressing room as his coach. Well actually I'm more like his PA. We're waiting for his number to be called.

"Dancer 021!" A man yelled outside.

Shouta then stood up from his chair.

"Good luck out there." I said with a smile.

"I'm getting cold feet, (F/N)." He said as he shook his hands and feet looking like some weird jelly guy.

"Don't worry. I'm sure you'll win and I'm sure that.. this girl likes you too." I said with a half-hearted smile.

"Okay. I'm heading out. Just promise me one thing." He said.

"Sure. What is it?" I asked.

"That no matter what happens, we'll still be friends after the competition." He said as he looked at me.

What did he mean by that?

Suddenly, he hugged me then rushed out.

I headed out as well, just in time to watch him.

His dancing was perfect. He did everything to win this competition. I guess he really does like this girl.

(A/N: Or he just doesn't want his stuff confiscated xD)

Soon, after the competition, all the dancers were seated in one area with a name card in front of them. Right now, the winners are being announced. I really hope that Shouta wins. He worked so hard for this.

"3rd Place – Kitagawa Ai!"

"2nd Place – Hayama Haruhiro!"

"1st Place .... Aoi Shouta!" The announcer announced.

I was both happy and sad to know that he won. That girl he liked. I wonder if someday, that could be me. I silently headed to the door, but what stopped me, was Shouta calling out to everyone.

"Uhm, may I have everyone's attention?" He said.

I then looked back to listen to what he had to say.

"(L/N) (F/N), thank you for being a great friend. I'm really grateful... and uhm, you must be confused from what I told you earlier in my dressing room." He said.

"The girl that I like is in this very room. She is very cute, kind, and sweet. She can be a little too hyper sometimes, but I think that's what made me fall for her. She has a beautiful voice, a wonderful dancing talent, and a kind heart ... I won't delay you any further." He said then sighed.

"The girl I like is the beautiful lady over there, standing by the door, wearing the t-shirt that I bought her for her birthday." He said as everyone stared at my direction.

Confused, I looked around for the girl he was talking about.

"Hey, (F/N)," Suzuki said said as he tapped my shoulder.

"Hn?" I questioned.

"He's talking about you." He said.

My eyes widened from shock as I looked at Shouta and pointed at myself; gesturing if the girl he's talking about is me.

"Yes, (L/N) (F/N). That girl is you." He said as all the women stared at me in awe.

Shouta then accepted the bouquet of flowers that Morikubo-san handed him then he walked to where I was.

"(L/N) (F/N), will you please go out with me?" He asked as he handed me the small bouquet.

I was so touched, but I ended up laughing a bit.

"So it was me the whole time?" I asked as I smirked at him and crossed my arms.

"Well, yeah.. I thought you knew actually.." He said as he scratched the back of his neck.

I humbly took the flowers then replied,
"Alright. I'll go out with you.. on one condition."

"Oh come on! Seriously, (F/N)?" Morikubo-san asked as he, Suzuki-san, and Maeno-san were whispering things to each other.

I then gestured for Shouta to come closer. I whispered something in his ear. Afterwards, he went over to the three senpais who were chatting happily.

"I believe you haven't heard my side of the bet." Shouta told them with a sadistic aura.

-First Omake-

Morikubo: Seriously? Do we really have to do this?

Aoi: Yes

(L/N): Suffer the consequences of teasing Shouta!!!

Maeno: I regret agreeing to play truth or dare with you guys...

Suzuki: Can we just get this over with?

(L/N): Cue off vocal!

Aoi: //presses play button

Suzuki, Maeno, Morikubo: //starts dancing and singing to Maji Love 1000% while wearing Piyo-chan costumes so it's really hard to do it right since they look both idiotic and adorable >~<

(L/N): HAHAHA!!!

(L/N): I just realized something.

Aoi: What?

(L/N): You're not my best friend anymore?

Aoi: Ehhh??? Why not?

(L/N): Because we're dating now ^-^

Aoi: //faints because (F/N) said that so cutely

(L/N): Shouta? Shouta?

(L/N): ... ambulance..? Anyone..?
