Chapter Five ~ Izaak
Magix was being amazingly calm about this whole thing. He was a little freaked out about it, but he continued to talk to Syrilth, until Mithrikal woke up. She was really freaked out about it, but Magix managed to calm her down. "We're WHAT?!" She said. Syrilth craned his neck down to her and nudged her. "Trapped in the game." Magix sat down next to Jenni, who was still sleeping. "Its because of Fhamzal. That beam he shot up." Mithrikal thought for a moment. "What about my parents?" She said. "I believe time freezes in the real world when this happens. I'm not for sure." Syrilth said. "Wait here a moment." He flew up into the clouds for a moment. Mithrikal sat down and leaned against a tree. Jenni opened her eyes, "Huh?" She said. She sat up, and realized where she was, and screamed. "Out of all people, I really thought you take this best." Magix teased. Jenni freaked out. Mithrikal looked at her, and explained everything. "Oh.." Jenni said. "Where's Syrilth?" She asked. "Oh, he went to the thingie thing thing." Mithrikal said. "Real specific." Magix said. Syrilth came down, and he was about the size of a lion. "Okay..." He said. "We should probably look for a village. That would be the safest place for now. " Syrilth said. "I guess that would be best." Jenni said.
The four of them started walking through the forest. It started getting dark a while after they started walking. "We still haven't found a village after all this time." Mithrikal complained. Syrilth nudged her side. "We'll find some place to stay. I know of one place to stay, and we're near." Magix pointed in front of them. "Is that it?" They all looked, and there was a HUGE tree, that had blue leaves. "Woah..." Jenni said. "Yeah, thats it." Syrilth said. "Can you three climb?" Mithrikal disconnected her bow and started climbing with those two sides. Jenni used a spell to teleport herself up. And Magix did the same thing as Mithrikal. Syrilth flew up, of course. Once they all reached the middle of all the leaves, they found places to sleep. Syrilth found a hole in the tree, and slept in there, Jenni slept on one of the branches, but made a small hammock with vines and leaves, and Magix used a levitation spell. Mithrikal went to the very top of the tree, where there would be no branches above her. Only the sky. She actually had time to think and spit out all her questions. ( R YUH READY KIDZ ) How did we get here? How did Fhamzal do that? Are we gonna be okay? What did he mean by special ones? How long has everything been alive? Is everybody else okay? Are the villagers alive too? How long has Syrilth been here? Will we ever find a village? Is there a way out? Are we stuck here forever? Will we ever get out? Do my parents know? What will they say? Will I ever see them again? She asked herself questions until she drifted off to sleep.
In the morning, she woke up to Syrilth sitting next to her. Syrilth looked over at her. "Good morning." He said. "Hi Syrilth..." She said tiredly. Syrilth got up and looked over the edge of the tree. "Jenni and Magix went out too look for resources, and they found a village. We better get going." He said, using his tail to motion for Mithrikal to climb on his back. She slowly climbed on his back, and he took off in the direction of the village. After a while, he landed on a small rock. The tree was still in sight. Mithrikal slowly got off of Syrilth, and they started walking on a rocky path. "How long have they been here?" Mithrikal asked. "A couple of hours." Syrilth said. "They told me to let you sleep in." "Well, thanks." She replied. Syrilth nodded, and looked ahead. "Here's the village." He said. Mithrikal stroked his neck and looked ahead. A village with a rock path, and normal village buildings stood ahead. A few guards stood, talking to Jenni. Mithrikal and Syrilth laughed silently at what they heard Jenni saying. "I swear! My friend is sleeping with her dragon! I'm not lying!" The guard shook his head at her. Syrilth whispered to Mithrikal that she might want to keep a low profile at the moment, since she doesn't know the people. "Right..." She said. She tied the scarf around her mouth, and put her hood on. She took a deep breath, and walked in with Syrilth. Everybody in the village looked at them, most ran inside buildings. All was silent as they made their way toward the guard and Jenni. Jenni had an 'I-told-you-that-my-friend-had-a-dragon' face at him, and he just stayed silent in fear. "Um... hi." Mithrikal said. Syrilth leaned in towards the guard, and made a dragon noise, and the guard jumped. Mithrikal and Jenni laughed. "Stop teasing him, Syrilth." Mithrikal said. Syrilth leaned back. "It listens so you?" The guard said. He sounded about twenty years old. "HE listens to me." Mithrikal said. The guard stepped back. "S-sorry." He said. "My name is Izaak."
JENNI AND MAGIX BELONG TO
