"So Giovanni, tell me about your wife and kids". Alcina asked awkwardly. Giovanni gave her a 'seriously?' look. Alcina was trying to stall him. In this little time, Giovanni had put on a tank top and shorts.

"Wait,why didn't you fall asleep when I gave you drink?" She asked seriously.

"It's simple dear. I never drank it". He shrugged as he walked to a drawer and pulled out a gun. "When you turned to check your phone, I spilled it. I knew something was up and..."

He was cut off by a thud outside the door.
"Alcina! Alcina!" Someone shouted from outside the room. It was Leonardo, he was banging on the door furiously trying to break it down. She siezed the opportunity and lounged at the door screaming for help.

"Leo! Help me! Help..". Giovanni grabbed her hair and yanked her back. Tears gathered in her eyes because the root of her hair stung. Her made her to face him, still holding her hair, he said.

"If you know what's good for you bitch, you'd shut up". Alcina struggled. His grip on her hair was painful. "Now move!" He dragged her to the closet and moved some clothes out of the way revealing a door.

A secret passage huh? Smart.

He gave the door a hard shove and it swung open revealing a descending flight of stairs. He made sure to bolt the door and just as he did, there was a bang from the other side of the door.

The walls were worn and there was dust everywhere. The place hadn't been used for a long time. The wooden stairs creaked and complained from the weight of the two of them. The stairs seemed to go on forever.

They finally got to another door. Giovanni tightened his grip on her hand before cautiously opening the door. Alcina found herself in an empty hallway, probably another wing of the massive mansion. Giovanni took the left dragging her along, her heels were inconveniencing her.

"You know I just intended to organise this little party to cool some steam. But Leonardo, poor little Leo just had to delve into my business..."

They ran into a group of five. And on impulse, they all took fight stances. Alcina guessed they were Leo's henchmen because they all lounged for Giovanni.

A hefty one in the group landed a blow square on Giovanni's jaw and he lost his grip on her wrist.
In his struggle, the flash drive fell out of his hand and Alcina snatched it off the floor as soon as she could. She took this opportunity to make a run for it, having no clue where she was heading to. She heard gunshots behind her but couldn't stop to look.

She found herself back in the grand ballroom. The room was in chaos. Everyone was fighting one or more people. No doubt the Moretti family against the Ricci's. As Alcina took in the sight in front of her, she never thought or imagined that she would ever find herself in the middle of a Mafia fight. In all the chaos, she spotted Elena's dark hair at the door where Giovanni had led her through to his room.

Seeing that being unarmed in this situation wasn't wise and made her vulnerable, she searched for a weapon of some sort. She picked a broken bottle, it wasn't much but it was something.

Keeping to the walls of the room, she made her way to Elena. Looking behind her, she saw Julian speaking to Giovanni. What could they possibly be speaking about right now? That was the least of her worries right now because as she turned back, she came face to face with a henchman.

He was about a foot taller than her, almost like Leonardo but lanky. He was unarmed. Alcina had a bottle with her but it was probably useless because she had no combat training with weapons. She however had karate and judo lessons along with basic self defense moves. Her father had started teaching her from her childhood, she would no doubt be rusty but she had no other option.

As the guy made his way closer to her, she ditched the bottle. She shoved the flash drive into her bra for safe keeping and just in time to duck from a blow that might have knocked her out. Fighting with heels was a huge no, she'll have to find stylish shoes which suited her style but were also good for combat as soon as this nightmare was over, if she made it out alive.

He directed another blow at a stomach and this time, he didn't miss. She satisfied him with an oof. No doubt some of her internal organs would have shifted from that. In one swift move she took of her shoes and readied herself now. As he advanced, she kicked him hard in the stomach and he clutched his stomach. As he was distracted, she took a low blow and kicked him in his nutcrackers causing him to bend over in pain. She gave him an elbow on the back of his head knocking him out.

After giving herself a pat on the back, she progressed to Elena being careful to avoid shards of glass on the floor.
Elena was a bad ass herself. She was taking on two people at once, another female and a guy. Elena gave him a roundhouse kick and turned immediately to punch the female. While the male was recovering, she grabbed the female and slammed her repeatedly into the wall. She then threw her into a nearby table before turning to face the male with a wicked glint in her eye. Elena drew a knife from strap in her thigh, that little action mad her seem more badass.

As she took on the guy, Alcina noticed another female coming up behind Elena and sprung into action again.

"Hey!" She called the bleach blonde approaching Elena. As soon as she turned, Alcina punched her on the face. She attempted a head butt, but the blonde was ready and swung Alcina into a wall. Her whole body was in pain. The blonde attempted a punch to her face but Alcina ducked giving the blonde a blow to the side of her ribs. The blonde was not that good and for a moment, Alcina imagined that it was Lisa from school whom she was beating the f** out of. Alcina gave a successful head butt and slammed her repeatedly into the wall like Elena had did to the other. The blonde fell into a lump, with a bleeding head.

"That was nice" Elena said looking impressed and proud. Julian was with her.

"We need to find Leonardo and get the heck out of here" he said as his eyes searched frantically through the chaotic crowd.

"I thought he was with you?" Elena asked. "There's no time to point fingers now" he avoided the question easily. Alcina made a mental note to bring up the issue of his little discussion with Giovanni later.

"You two head outside to the limo. I'll go find Leo"Julian said. "Oh and take this,it'll come in handy" he said pulling out a gun from his trousers. Elena took it and Julian ran off the opposite direction.
Elena and Alcina started for the door that led outside, keeping to the wall. They encountered no one.

Once outside, they broke into a run. Dashing in the direction of the limo. Alcina looked back and spotted Leonardo and Julian heading their way. The chauffeur was already in the limo and in a matter of seconds Leonardo and Julian were in the car and they were driving off the property.

"Damn that was..."Julian started speaking but stopped as a bullet broke the rear glass of the limo, barely missing his head.

"Shit" Leonardo cursed as they all ducked to avoid being shot. Giovanni's men were following them in a car. Leonardo pulled out a shot gun and an ak 47 from underneath the seats. He tossed the gun to Julian and they stuck their heads out shooting at the other car. All Alcina and Elena did was watch.

The driver had pulled a gun too and was shooting. The car swerved suddenly.
"Mark focus on the road godammit" Leo yelled at him. The driver focused on the road,expertly maneuvering through traffic and at break neck speed.

"That car is bulletproof. Of all the fucking days to leave the fucking bullet proof cars at home" Julian muttered.

"Mark,we need to loose them and fast. Everyone buckle your seatbelts" Leo said and they all complied.

Mark turned a corner suddenly leaving the highway and began driving through alleys and smaller roads. He kept turning corners and soon was back to the highway with Giovanni's men no where to be seen. Alcina didn't know how he did it but she was grateful.

"I hope all this was worth the trouble" Elena said exhausted. Leonardo glanced at Alcina expectantly.
She gave him a weak smile.

"Stop smiling at me Alcina and tell all this trouble was for something" he said. It stung her to hear him talk like that, so she decided to keep up the act.

"Oh my, I must've dropped it in the rush..." Elena gave her a seriously? look.

"It's right here". Their eyes widened as they saw her reach into her bra. But their panic died away when she brought out the flash drive.

"I could hug you right now" Leonardo said as he snatched it from her hands. Alcina secretly wished he would.

As the adrenaline and excitement died down,Alcina felt tired and she was sore all over. The ride home was quiet and a feeling of relief washed over her as the Moretti mansion came into view.

Safety at last.
