She couldn't take it anymore:the high pitched annoying voice yelling something about water from her bedroom door. So she took one of her pillows -still in her sleep- and threw it at the rat.
Then the rat stopped but it came back. Then she felt like she was drowning.

Alcina jolted off the bed to find her bed soaked through and Rachael grinning wickedly at the door holding an empty bucket.

"What do you think you're still doing in bed at 6:30. Who will make breakfast? I want you out in five minutes and make sure you wake your sisters" she said slamming the door.

Alcina scrunched her nose. She hated being compared or seemingly said to be related to the likes of those two. She didn't agree with the word 'sisters' cause she didn't have any. Jane and Janice were the product of Rachael's first marriage.

Alcina chose to be a good girl today and did all she was asked to do.

But before she could make it out of the house to Rachael's car for a ride to school, they drove off. The twins made faces at her as the car went away.

Childish. She thought.

"My god, Alcina where have you been?"

It was Kris and Austin.

"You need a ride?" Kris asked the obvious.

"Duh" Alcina said as she got into the car.

"So where have you been?" Kris asked again.

"I decided to go stay with Catherine for a while" she lied easily. She would tell Kris when they were alone but for now she'd have to lie to her bestie.

"And missed almost a week of school?" Austin asked with his brow raised

"Why do you care?" Alcina asked.

He raised his hand in surrender and murmured. "Women"

"What was that Austin? What about us women?" Kris asked folding her arms.

"If I hadn't asked, it would've been a problem. Now when I did ask she said 'why do you care?' Ugh women"

They both whacked him at the back of his head.

"Wow and yet they call me the bad boy. Look at you two assaulting me" he said as they finally pulled into the school's parking lot.

"What did Rachael say?" Kris asked.

"She didn't say anything. The moment I came back, she made the microwave explode. I think she was trying to cook, still don't understand how that happened. She made me clean the whole house. I never knew a week worth of dirt could be so much. You should have seen her face" Alcina said with a laugh.

"Welcome back to the house of horrors" Kris said to Alcina as they got out. Now that she mentioned it, the school did look sinister to Alcina.

The popular kids were all crowded around the car by now. Some were happy to see her back. Others, the likes of Lisa just glared at her or made comments. Welcome back to high school.

The day would mostly be for make up quizs for Alcina. She had really missed a lot. The day was slow as all Mondays. She truly hated Mondays.

After school, as she walked with Kris to Austin's car, there was a little noise from the students  followed by the revving of engines.

Two Matte black Audi R8s came into their view. And then the last person she wanted to see came out. Not really the last person she wanted to see, but he was within that range. He was dressed casually. As he walked up to her, she could hear the girls around her - including Kris - sighing. Lisa waved at him and Alcina just rolled her eyes at this. The smile Lisa had dropped when he made his way to Alcina.

"How the hell did you find me?" Alcina asked throwing her hands in the air.

"I have family everywhere. Four of them in this school actually. And they all have classes with you, no day goes by without any of them having a class or two with you" Leonardo said with a shrug.

As he spoke, four guys walked up to her. Everyone knew them. They were the bad boys, the rich boys, expensive cars, throwing parties, that sort of thing.

'Whoa, you guys are in the mafia?' She wanted to scream.

"These are Antonio's sons. Bianca's brothers" Leonardo said guessing she'd like to know.

"Ahem. Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?"

Alcina turned to see Kris giving Leonardo a flirtatious look. She was shocked because Kris wasn't one to get crushes and fall in love all the time.

"Sorry. Leonardo this is Kris, my bestie. Kris, Leonardo" Alcina said.

"Um, hi" Kris said giving out her hand for a handshake and giggling stupidly. Leonardo had that effect on girls. Alcina turned to see Lisa scowling and saying something to her posse.

"You have to come back with me" Leonardo said in a low tone.

"And get myself killed? No way, I'm good here"

"You're in even more danger here. If Giovanni were to find out your location... god I don't even want to think about that" he said running a hand through his hair. This caused his dark locks to fall over his face in a cute way.

"You either come with me willingly or I'll have to abduct you again" he said with determination in his voice.

"Don't you think abduct is a rather strong word. I'll go with you but I'll still have to go to school. And I don't see why I can't just stay here since you've got your henchmen everywhere apparently" Alcina said.

"Four of my men won't stop Giovanni, now let's go". He moved to grab her arm but she side stepped.

"I'll meet you at the car"

Alcina had to rectify the look of confusion on Kris' face.

"Who's Giovanni?" Kris asked.

"I promise I'll tell you later because for now, it's on a need to know basis. And if I told you someone might kill you..." Alcina noticed Kris was still staring past her at Leonardo.

"Hey" Alcina snapped her fingers in Kris' face.

"Sorry. He's just so hot"

"Are you done undressing him with your eyes?"

"Whatever. How do you know him?"

"That too, is on a need to know basis. Right now I have to go, he's waiting for me"

"I don't like being kept in the dark Alcina"

"I'll tell you when everything is cleared up!" Alcina shouted as she jogged to the car.

"I hope you know what you're doing Alcina" Kris shouted back. The whole school was probably listening.

"I do. You too" Alcina said as she got in the back.

You too?

Alcina caught a glimpse of Lisa's face as they left the school. Jealousy. She wouldn't be jealous if she knew what was going on. But she had to admit, a cute guy in an expensive car picking you up from school is enough to spark jealousy in the coldest of hearts.

"So, what now?" She asked awkwardly as they entered the highway.

"We're going back to the fort. But you must know that..."

"Know that what?" Alcina asked confused.

"Forget that. I just noticed two Suv's tailgating us. I noticed them the second we entered the highway" Leonardo said.

"Oh no, why now?" Alcina asked trying to get a glimpse of the Suv's.

"I can't spot Julian anywhere. He's supposed to be behind us" Leo said checking the rear view mirror.

They ducked as bullets shattered the rear windscreen sending shards of glass flying everywhere.

"Fuck" Leonardo cursed. It would cost a fortune to get it fixed.

Her eyes widened as he pulled out a pistol from under his seat and handed it to her.
"Here, try and shoot them or possibly cause some damage"

Wait, what?
