☆Nineteen☆
Natsu sipped some boiling tea, "Well the stories differentiate, I don't know what's fact and myth but I'll tell you what I know."
"Well?"Gray asked impatiently.
"Well, wait why are you so interested in Ice Dragons, Gray?" Natsu looked at him in confusion, "Where did you even hear about ice dragons?"
"I just kinda assumed they exist, and I'm curious about Ice dragon-slayers because I want to know if I'm stronger," Gray sighed and looked Natsu in the eyes to prove he wasn't lying.
"You are not stronger, well, except for the fact that they rarely exist and not possible to exist now." Natsu frowned, "Well onto the myths. First off, when the era of dragons was coming to an end, some accepted it, others, like ice dragons, did not. They somehow got frozen into the ice caps, I don't know how but it's ironic. They were typically loners, even more so than normal, and extremely unlike the superior fire dragons."
"Superior? You're biased. Ice dragons are probably better," Gray rolled his eyes.
"Fuck you, Ice dragons are supposed to be rude as fuck and more murderous than Purple guy who was a child serial killer. Oh wait you don't know FNAF, forget the analogy. Ice dragons have killed humans, probably, more than the dragons that accepted the end of the dragon rein over humanity," Natsu offered Gray some tea while drinking the last of his cup.
"What did fire dragons think? About the end of the dragon rein," Gray took the cup of tea from Natsu, noting that Natsu had been fiddling with his hands the whole time, in a kind of anxious way.
"Well, most of them saw it coming and accepted it, Igneel did at least, but he still thought dragons were better because duh, but there were a few who didn't really like humans. You see Gray, Fire dragons are the most common type of dragon, and they um, tend to be, uh more...family oriented." Natsu's fiddling got a bit more aggressive as he got nearer to the end of the sentence.
"Oh, okay. Uh, your hand-" Gray was cut off by Natsu talking more about Ice dragons.
Natsu continued on about how they, in theory, they were supposed to be more of loners with and Icy rage in their blood, and Natsu had speculated about instead of breathing ice it's more like a frost that builds up to ice.
"Hey, Gray?" Natsu's eyes lit up like he did when he has ideas.
"Yea?" Gray was staring at Natsu's hair, it looked soft and nice but he felt like his hair should be stiff because it pokes out everywhere, but it's not.
"What if Ice mage and a Fire mage did a unison raid and used blue fire, which is basically, fire cold as ice?" Natsu started bouncing in place.
Gray met his eyes and grinned, "We can find out, I suppose."
Natsu grinned back, but because there's a mysterious force that says Erza has been gone too long, so Erza climbed through Natsu's kitchen window to see the boys giggling about unison raids.
"You two are not doing that around me. You'll destroy half of Mongolia." Erza had a shirt on that said UWU.
*cough cough* @armored_strawberry *cough cough*
"Nice shirt, Erza," Natsu laughed.
"Thanks." Erza started to make her way to the fridge, and pulled out a box of strawberries that clearly said on a sticky note, 'DO NOT EAT @ ERZA'
"Did you write that?"Gray asked Natsu referring to the sticky note.
Natsu sighed, "Yea. It's not effective."
"I can see that," Gray laughed.
"You two aren't fighting as much? That's nice," Erza silently hoped that they would bicker a little so she could use an abbreviation she saw earlier in a fanfic.
"I suppose, hey Natsu, is bickering our 'thing?'" Gray raised an eyebrow.
"Mabey, I guess." Natsu shrugged and started to clean up the dishes, quickly like leaving them around was going to drive him insane.
"LQ's," Erza had found her excuse.
"Nani?' Gray tilted his head.
Natsu dropped a dish and the dish shattered into tiny sharp shards all over the floor, "Gah! Erza, SHUT THE HELL UP."
Gray rushed over to help him clean the shards while Erza took the rest of the plates and placed them in the sink safely.
"Erza, what does that mean?" Gray asked still cleaning up with Natsu.
Erza, now helping them, "Oh it means Lovers Quarrel's." Erza sounded nonchalant.
Gray froze and he locked eyes with Natsu.
Natsu's breath hitched when Gray looked at him, he could hear his heart pounding and their relative closeness made his heart run wild. He could feel his face heating up all the way down to his neck.
Gray was breathing faster, his hands got shaky. The shard Gray was holding accidentally cut himself. His hair fell slightly framing his face more than normal. Gray was almost trying to encourage Natsu to make the first move with loving or adoring looks.
The longer the two locked eyes, the faster their heartbeats, the more tension filled the air. Natsu was on the verge of tears, his anxiety was also building up higher the longer it went on for.
Natsu was the first to look away, his attention was drawn to Gray's bleeding finger, so like a fussy mom or boyfriend he forgot about the mess for a second, and ran Gray's finger under the faucet/ tap and washed the blood off. Natsu opened a drawer and pulled out one of those fancy finger special bandaids and placed some Neosporin on it and wrapped it around Gray's finger.
"What were you thinking, this stuff is sharp! You didn't get any other cuts, did you? Are you okay? You need to be more careful, I'm fairly sure you don't like sharp ceramic being shoved into your finger, do you?" Natsu spit all the words and questions like rapid fire with no time to answer any of the questions.
"Natsu, I'm fine that's it, really. No, I do not like being stabbed by ceramic because it hurts." Gray sighed and looked somewhere else as Natsu fussed over his finger.
"If you say so- wait a minute, I had totally forgotten about the mess? What the fuck does that mean? Did my OCD cross itself out or-" Natsu's eyes widen in realization.
"I think that your concern for Gray is a priority in your mind." Erza was now sipping some coffee, "I think that's cute that Gray is your main concern."
Natsu was visibly red, "I think you should shut up."
Gray laughed.
Natsu stared at him, "Hmph, you too."
"Hey, don't be like that to your one true love!!" Erza wheezed out laughing.
The two wizards were laughing themselves as Natsu mocked them.
"Fuck you guys," Natsu was red from embarrassment, but he did enjoy the sound of his friends laughing, just not at him. Still, Gray's laugh was perfect none the less.
'That's Gray's job to fuck you." Erza's eye started twitching from a lot of caffeine, but you could barely tell because she was laughing so much, "Plus, everyone knows your Tsundere."
Gray was more nervously laughing now, getting redder by the second, thinking about it. He excused himself to the bathroom for about half an hour.
A few minutes before Gray came back down, Natsu's eyes went wide and he glanced in the direction of the bathroom.
"Hey Natsu, is it true that dragon slayers can smell, uh, bodily fluids?" Erza asked.
Natsu replied with an mhm.
"What kinds?"
"All kids, especially cum. Unless you love that person, cum usually reeks the most."Natsu glanced at Gray coming down the stairs.
"Whatcha guys talking about?" Gray seemed more tired than before.
"Oh, you know, the usual, cum." Natsu batted his thicc eyelashes at Gray, which he may or may not be wearing with eyeliner.
Gray looked embarrassed, "What?"
"Apparently, Natsu can smell cum." Erza continued to drink coffee.
Natsu smirked at Gray, before looking away.
Gray yawned, "Well, I'm going to go take a nap."
"I should go, I'm supposed to go to victoria's secret with Lucy for a new bra."Erza climbed back out through the window, ignoring the front door.
"What the hell, Erza. Welp may as well go do something," Natsu shrugged and went up to his room.
Gray sighed and went up to his own.
