Chapter 37
Augury
[ Third Person ]

JANE, AVA, Jack and Helios was waiting in the waiting area that's located in the south wing of Rivendelle Laboratory. They all are waiting patiently for the head scientist to come. And also, for the antidote that she promised.

Princess Jane wanted to get the antidote just on this day. Their days must save and used wisely. She is aware of what her comrades are doing in the missions. For what purpose she became a part of the SUPREMUS and a princess? Of course, she can do anything on what is according to her will.

In the present, the princess is sitting patiently on the special chair while watching the hologram in front of her. It is a scene where members of the rank she's part of was fighting with some gross creatures in different appearances.

While watching, she noticed that professor Ed and Oscar Logan Beriza went missing. She couldn't find them anywhere! Jane slid her fingers on the holographic video on her front to the side where her comrades are talking.

"Sir Ed and Oscar is missing..."

Jane immediately stood up from her sitting position and raise her hand, as to the fire lingers through her fingers. She spread it above and another scene appears in her front.

Helios and the children were just watching her performing the magic of eyes using the fire. Jack and Ava was gaping their mouths in shock. They couldn't believe what they just saw! A fire can really produce in the lady's hand! How is that even possible?

"Kuya Helios, I'm not hallucinating in some magic tricks, right?" Maureen asked using her innocent voice.

Helios just smiled and continued watching Jane. His smile faded when he saw the scene Jane has produced. Their professor, Ed Villamor, together with the Dark Entities in half human form, was having a meeting in a large dark hall. Helios' fists balled hard that made Maureen look unto it. She gasped because of fear. Jack held her back and tried to calm her down.

"W-What..." Jane uttered, her hands with fire was trembling in anger. She tightened his burning fist and immediately let the fire's eye disappeared.

She couldn't believe it! How can be the professor they were with in their first times, in terms of magic, betrayed them?! That's just so unreasonable! What about Andrea's reaction if the news will reach on her? Even though Andrea feared her father's strictness, she loves him... kaya papaano na ang kaniyang reaksyon kung sakaling madiskubre niya ang pagtataksil ng kaniyang sariling ama?

Jane's train of thoughts was interrupted by the sudden clearing of throat from the woman in her front. The same woman earlier, the one who owns rose colored hair. Kasalukuyan niyang hinuhubad ang gloves sa kaniyang kamay.

"Uhm... excuse me, Your Highness. I'm sorry to interrupt you, but we need your presence in the lab. I'm really sorry," Thiana, the head scientist and inventor, apologetically said. "This way." She smiled at the kids and to Helios before walking away, letting them come with her without any signals.

They entered a big metallic doors and a large room welcomed their beings. There were different potions, vials, cylinders, and colorful liquids in every part of the room. Dumeretso sila sa isa pang silid at doon bumungad na naman sa kanila ang kaparehong istilo ng lugar ngunit ang ipinagkaiba lamang, mas maliit ito kumpara sa labas.

Thiana headed to where the dark blue liquids are located. She, again, wears the gloves and picked one of the vials where the dark blue liquid is. The woman handed it to Jane who's now busy answering the questions of the kids.

Jane's attention diverted unto Thiana and got the vial on her hand after she wore her own gloves. Pinagmasdan niya ito ng mabuti at muling nilingon ang siyentista na ngayon ay abala sa pagmamasid sa kaniyang panauhin. "Sigurado ka ba na ito'y gagana para sa kanila? I don't want to get disappointed in this kind of matter."

"Rest assured that that is effective and will immediately leave the result in any second, Miss Amores." Thiana's confidence was laced in her voice.

Ngumiti si Jane Hilary at tinawag ang dalawang bata na namamangha sa paligid. Pumaroon naman kaagad ang dalawa sa babae at tinanong kung ano ang hawak nito. "This will be your vitamin, okay? So drink this immediately now," she instructed.

Unang kinuha ni Jack Harrison ang isang sisidlan na mayroong asul na likido sa kamay ng kaniyang kapatid. Kumuha ulit ng isa si Thiana at ibinigay kay Maureen. Binigyan niya ng positibong ngiti ang batang babae bago napagdesisyunan na ayusin ang mga nakakalat na gamit sa kaniyang lungga.

Sabay ininom ng dalawang bata ang kinakailangang gamit para sa kanilang sitwasyon. Sa una, mukhang wala lang. Ang lamig na pakiramdam sa likidong kanilang ininom ay nanuot sa kanilang sistema. Magpo-protesta na sana ang prinsesa sa nasaksihang ginhawa sa mukha ng mga bata at parang wala lang silang nainom nang tila may nagbago sa kanilang kalagayan.

Sabay natumba ang dalawa at nahirapang huminga. Nagsimula ng mataranta ni Jane sa nakita! The kids clutched their chest and head, where the pain is unbearable. They curled their body on the floor and then, suddenly, they lose consciousness.

Thiana automatically attend to the kids while Jane was problematic about their situation. Nagtawag ng tauhan si Thiana at ipinahiga ang mga bata sa isang higaan na mayroong mga kawad at iba't ibang aparato na nakakabit. Dahan-dahan ang kanilang paghiga rito.

Maya-maya pa ay sabay silang napaatras nang magsimulang magbago ang katawan ni Jack Harrison. Agad na kinumutan ng kaniyang kakambal ang katawan nito dahil paniguradong hindi kakasya ang suot nitong damit. Nang matapos, bumalik na sa dati nitong anyo ang binata.

He's still sleeping, but then, Maureen was still the same. They all are worried! Paano kung hindi na talaga ito babalik sa dati? Bakit hindi pa tumatalab ang gamot? Hindi ba ito tinatanggap ng katawan niya?

Sa pag-aakalang hindi tumalab ang gamot kay Maureen, bumalik si Thiana sa kaniyang lamesa upang gumawa ng bago. Ngunit hindi pa nga siya nakalalayo, napabalik siya sa kaniyang kinaroroonan nang halos masilaw silang lahat sa liwanag na lumukob sa katawan ng bata. Nakakasilaw ito at tila'y mabubulag na sila sa liwanag.

Nang mawala ang liwanag, nakita nila ang isang dalaga na bumalik na sa dati nitong anyo. Ang mas nakagugulat lamang, nakatayo ito — hindi, nakalutang ito sa mismong ibabaw ng higaan habang nakatayo at nakasuot ng naguumapaw na bestida. Hindi nila alam kung saan ito nanggaling!

Ngayon, ang dalaga ay nakasuot ng isang berdeng damit na may halong itim sa ibaba. Mayroon ring korona na may halo-halong bulaklak at dahon, at mga tinik na kulay itim. Nakapikit siya at mukhang payapang natutulog, kahit na ang nakapalibot sa kaniya ay halos mahimatay na sa presensyang kaniyang nilalabas.

Maureen's presence was overwhelming and intimidating. The people around the laboratory was kneeling in an unknown reason. Lahat ay nakaluhod at nakaharap sa isang lugar, lugar kung saan nakalutang ang dalaga; maging ang prinsesa at ang punongguro ng akademya. Hindi nga nila maangat-angat ang kanilang tingin rito! Nalaman lang nila ang kaniyang suot bago sila napaluhod sa sahig.

Ang binata naman ay nanatiling tulog at walang kamuwang-muwang sa nangyayari sa kaniyang paligid.

Nasa gitna ng pagtataka ang lahat nang bigla na lang may nagsalita. Isa itong malamig at nakakabighaning boses. Labis itong nakakamangha ngunit nang marinig nila ang laman ng mga salitang lumabas sa bibig ng kung sino ay bumalik ang kaninang takot, pagtataka, at pagkamangha sa kanilang sistema.

"Cliff to darkness,

Cosmos of eternal.

A war will rise,

A chaos to begin.

Leading the world,

Destroying the universe.

Ready... be ready, my children."

After she said those sentences, Maureen immediately collapsed in the bed. Now, she's sleeping soundly. Everything came back normal, as to their feet stood up on their own. Everyone got their senses back with the fear they couldn't remember when they last felt it.

"A prophecy... I'm sure of that!" saad ni Kashmir Cliffton na siyang unang nakahuma sa pangyayari. He turned his attention on the people whose expressions were priceless. "What you heard earlier, will stay in this laboratory and never will be spread outside. Understand?" his voice thundered every corner of the hall.

They all nodded with their confused faces. Lumapit sa punongguro ang prinsesa at nag-aalalang nagsalita. "Headmaster, that augury means danger. Bakit hindi natin ipaalam sa buong realm?"

"Miss Amores, that'd only cause distractions on the students. Kinakailangan nilang magpalakas upang madaig ang mga kalaban, lalo na ngayon na lumabas ang isang propesiya tungkol sa digmaan."

"But..."

"You don't have to worry about this, Miss Amores. I'll make the leaders know about this happening. Paniguradong mayroon silang gagawin dito," Headmaster Kashmir assured her.

Jane Hilary only sighed in defeat.

Mundo niya ang nanganganib at ang mga taong pinamumunuan ng mga magulang niya, at pamumunuan niya sa hinaharap. Pero ngayong isinaad ng isang propesiya ang hinaharap na kaniyang inaasahang mangyari, hindi niya mapigilang mangamba para sa mga nasasakupan ng kaniyang pamilya. Lumipas ang tatlong oras bago niya napagdesiyunan na lumabas sa laboratoryo at sabihan ang kaniyang mga kasamahan patungkol sa kalagayan ng kaniyang kakambal at kaibigan. Jane will not decide on telling them about the augury she just heard. She'll just wait about the headmaster's and her parents' command.

Hindi pa nga niya nabubuksan ang malaking dalawang pintuan ng kanilang dormitoryo ay may naririnig na siyang mga boses ng kaniyang kaibigan at ng isang hindi masyadong pamilyar.

"Oh, my icy! I really miss you, girl! Sana naman dito ka na mananatili at huwag doon sa Mortal Realm..." boses iyon ni Andrea Villamor.

"Kumusta ka naman?" it was James Apartelle.

"Hmm... I'm fine as my dress, Bradley! Grabe, lalo na ngayon na may magandang balita ako sa inyo! But wait, where's the prince and the princess?"

Jane finally opened the double doors. Her shocked face was remarkable. Gulat na gulat siya sa taong nasa harapan niya ngayon na parehong ekspresyon ang pinapakita sa kaniya. Tuluyan na siyang pumasok at umupo sa bakanteng upuang nasa gilid.

"Hello, Jane Hilary," the lady said with an enthusiastic tone.

Napatulala si Jane sa babaeng nasa harapan niya. With her pumpkin colored hair that was french braided, fancy makeup, silky dress and fabulous heels, there was no doubt that she's the one Jane who thought she is. She's the fiancé, Jane's mother decided to be, of Jack Harrison. Siya na ang inaasahang darating ng kaniyang pamilya galing sa dimensyon ng mga mortal na kung tinatawag.

"Mia Margarrett Laurriel..."

Omgggg! This book was already close to its end! What do you think the ending will be? Hmm? I'm excited to write the scenes but my lazy beautiful hands won't agree, huhuhu!
