Chapter 31: Screzine Town

AVA's POINT OF VIEW

"Seriously, when will we have a rest?! We've been walking nonstop like 3 hours!" I nagged and sighed. I'm really really exhausted now. Imagine, 3 hours of walk?! My feet can't bare with that! Himala na nga lang ngayon at hindi pa ako natutumba. Sobrang sakit na nga lang ng mga paa ko.

We don't have excessive baggages in our hands because all of those were in our silver storage bracelet. My bracelet was placed in my right wrist, looking so cool. It's a small thing but it can carry things unlimited.

And my favorite food was in my bracelet, kaya wala pa akong reklamo noong isang oras pa kaming naglalakad. But now, it's been freaking three hours! And we haven't had a good rest yet! They're so persistent to finish that mission immediately. Eh, paano kung mahimatay na ako ngayon dito? Sino ang tutulong sa kanilang maganda? 'Di ba? They're really not thinking of the consequences of this tiring goddamn walking.

"Will you please stop nagging? You're getting into my nerves! Right, Frenny Jenny?" Reklamo na naman ni Andeng.

Kanina pa siya, eh! Actually, silang dalawa ng pinakamamahal na Frenny niya. The two of them keeps on contradicting me! Why couldn't they just agree of what I wanted? We are the same, girls, so hindi pa ba sila napapagod?

Oh, I forgot. Sanay na pala sila sa mga missions na walang transportations at mga paa lang ang gamit. Grabe!

Headmaster Kashmir said that this is a part of our training. It can help us so that our stamina in magic can't easily ran out. At para na rin hindi kami madaling mapagod sa pakikipaglaban. It's reasonable naman pero nakakapagod lang talaga.

Huminto si Harrison na siyang nangunguna at tumingala kaya ginawa rin namin ang kaniyang ginawa. He's the leader, eh. Above us was a gigantic tree that was allowing the sun to hide from us.

"Let's rest here for a while," he said causing my eyes to glistened in happiness.

Finally! "Thank you, Darling!" Saad ko ngunit inirapan lamang niya ako. Kahit ganoon ay ngumiti pa rin ako sa kaniya at tumabi nang umupo siya at humilig sa puno.

My cheeks immediately reddened when I remembered what I did on the ball. We just made out and I even moaned! I didn't regret it though. It's my best achievement in the chasing game I first played with him.

We ate the food we brought and drank some water in the lake behind the huge tree. Nakaidlip pa nga ako saglit ngunit agad ring nagising nang gumalaw ang katabi ko. Napatingala ako sa kaniya.

"Let's go. Hindi dapat tayo nagsasayang ng oras." Wika nito at nauna ng maglakad. Napabuntong-hininga ako bago bumangon at sumunod sa kaniya. My other teammates were already at his back and talking nonsense all over again. And as usual, minsan lang ako nakikisali o kapag tinatanong lang sumasagot.

"Maureen," Zoe called causing me to have my attention at her, but my senses were still alerted, knowing that we're almost at the border of Screzine Town. "Are you okay? You seem bothered earlier."

I just shooked my head and continued walking without my gaze at her. I heard her heaved a deep sigh before she continued her talking of nonsense with Sofia, while Andrea keeps on bothering Jenelyn who's attention is in the front.

I suddenly remember what happen earlier. I sighed as to my eyes feels the scorching heat. Napasigaw ako at napahawak sa'king mga mata. As if someone was burning through my soul and was torturing my mind using my eyes! Until I feel myself sitting on the ground due to the pain I almost cannot bare.

"Maureen!" I can hear their screams of my name and after that, series of explosions woken up something inside my body. "Protect her! Someone was messing with us!" That was Jenelyn's voice.

I tried to open my eyes and to my surprise, Zoe was beside me, guiding me to the nearest safe place. My eyes shut once again. Mahapdi pa rin ang mga mata ko pero pinilit ko itong idinilat at inilibot sa paligid ang paningin.

Bunch of goons with so much ugly faces and body together with a lady in black bat wings! And based on the books I've read in the Academy, that girl is a higher level of demon or dark entity, a Succubus! It can seduce men using her seductive powers and kill them afterwards.

My darling!

Zoe guided me to sit and inspect the cause of my misery seconds ago, my eyes. I saw how her eyes widen. Nagtatakang napatingin ako sa kaniya. Her lips were quivering while pointing my eyes. My forehead creased as I touched my eyelids using my left hand and my cheeks using my right hand.

I felt my fingers touched a humid kind of liquid coming from cheeks. Blood! My eyes just produced blood! But I can't feel the pain right now. Parang dumaan lang ito saglit sa mga mata ko. Saan 'yon galing? I didn't felt that pain before! Akala ko mawawala na ang mga mata ko sa sakit!

"Y-Your eyes! Naging pula!" Bulalas ni Zoe.

Lumaki pa kesa sa una ang mga mata ko. What?! It is now colored with red? Is it because of the pain I felt earlier and the blood gushed from my eyes? Holy Fuzzy! My oceanic blue eyes were gone!

I tried myself to set aside my issues with my eyes and stood up. Zoe alerted herself because of my move. Pero hindi naman na ako nakararamdam ng sakit ngayon. In fact, I can feel my body more lighter, stronger and flexible like fire. As if those pain was my recharged from our monochromatic traveling.

I saw how the Succubus Lady seduced Harrison that immediately fuel the jealousy in my body. How dare her seduce my darling! Mabuti nalang at nilalabanan niya ang malanding paniki! I will never forgive her! Over my dead and gorgeous body!

"Hey, batgirl!" I called. "You really dare to seduce him, huh?" Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay at inirapan. Humakbang ako patungo sa kanila at alam kong tutol si Zoe sa naging kilos ko. But I can't help it!

Even though I looked like I cried blood and my eyes changed from its original color, I know I'm still hot and gorgeous. And even this batgirl cannot surpass me! My beauty was beyond the universe and I, myself, knows that.

"Oh! Who are you, red-blooded eyes girl?"

I smiled sweetly at her, so sweet to the point that, I knew, it's creepy. "Your gorgeous nightmare, of course!" I said m enthusiastically.

I didn't wait for her reply and using my air, I stealthily move towards her direction, as to the moment I summoned my sword. With a millisecond, I found myself behind her who's now dumbfounded, probably wondering where I am.

I managed to cut one of her wings causing her to moan and cry in pain. I grin as I use air blades to cut the other one, taking the advantage of her seeing unmoved because of pain. Black sticky, gross blood comes out from his bare back. She turned her dagger gaze at me and lunged.

Alam kong nanghihina na siya pero kakaiba pa rin ang lakas niya sa pagsakal sa'kin. I sensed the movements of my comrades but I signaled them to stop. Itinulak ko siya ng malakas at naumpog ang likod niya na puno ng dugo sa isang malaking kahoy, together with her head, leaving her unmovable with her state.

I know killing is bad, but killing a dark entity is not that bad. I onced again summon my sword and run towards her before slashing her head off and pushed my sword in her chest. Her smelly blood splattered through my face down to my upper body.

I sighed as I turned my attention to them. I can see the shocked expression on their beautiful faces and fear on Zoe's. Lumapit kaagad ako sa kanila ngunit agad silang napaatras, including Harrison. "Are you scared of me?" Nag-aalangang tanong ko.

"Hindi, 'no! You're so stinky! Magpalit ka nga!" It was Andrea.

"Ang baho mo, Mau.." Zoe pinched her nose and turned her back at me.

"Ugh," Jenelyn also turned her back at me as she slowly head towards the body of Succubus. She put a force field around the dead body, para siguro hindi pa kumalat ang baho ng itim na dugo.

"Take a bath and get change on the lake we used to drank." Harrison said.

Tumango ako at muling bumalik sa lawa para maligo at makapagbihis. Nang matapos na ako ay muli kaming naglakbay. Hindi umabot sa labindalawang minuto ay nakarating na kami sa isang bayan.

"Screzine Town," I read the blue glass sign placed in the pillar located at the sand.

Inilibot ko ang aking paningin. An island was surrounded by the huge body of water after the shore we're currently at. A mansion, that is probably owned by the Ministers here, was located at the center of the island. Sa paligid nito ay mga malalaki ring bahay pero hindi lumalampas sa laki ng mansyon sa gitna. Ang aming tinatapakan ngayon ay ang lugar kung saan nakatira ang ibang mamamayan.
