In this appendix, you'll find several sections, a glossary, and some multimedia sections such as music and graphics. This appendix will be updated according to the story's evolution and mistakes will be corrected if necessary.

🌠Glossary🌠

In this section, you can find definitions for some of the words used throughout the novel that you may not understand. Most of them were taken from the Russian Language.

Baba: Diminutive of "babushka". It means "grandma".

Kebab: Several kinds of dishes consisting of cut-up or ground grilled meat, usually accompanied with onions and other vegetables. It is served wrapped on plain bread and is similar to shawarma. It is traditional from the Balkans, Middle Eastern countries, and the Caucasus, but it also can be found around the world as fast food.

Borsch: A kind of soup made of beetroot, onion, carrots, meat, and other ingredients. It is mostly server cold, but it can be served hot. Traditional from Eastern Europe and Central Asian countries.

Tsar (also spelled as "Czar"): Word derived from Cæsar. Emperor. It used to be the form used by Russian Emperors (during centuries 16th to 20th) and Bulgarian Princes.

Tsarevich: The emperor's inheritor, prince.

Kremlin: A fortress located in the center of a city. It protects important buildings such as palaces and churches. Commonly, Russian cities from medieval times such as Moscow and Novgorod have one or more Kremlins.

Sirin: Magical creatures from Russian Mythology, related to the Greek sirens. They have the appearance of a beautiful young woman with the body of a bird (usually, an owl). They are linked to Eden's Gardens, but they're dangerous for humans. People who listen to their songs get mesmerized by them, forgetting most about their lives and land, following these birds until they ultimately die.

🌠Character names and their meanings 🌠

Were you wondering what meaning and origin has the name of each main character? Here are some of the answers! Some names were modified to partit of real names and represent some aspect of the history or personality of each one (in some cases, ironically). Others were instead invented.

Aliosha: Alternate spelling of Alyosha, a nickname for the Russian name Alexei. It means "Who helps others", "kind".

Dylara: Alternative spelling of Dilara, name of Persian origin and popular in Turkey. It means "the one with the heart of gold", "She who delights ".

Ivar: Name from Old Norse. It means "archery", "archer".

Mikhai: Derived from Mikhail, the Russian name referring to the Angel Michael, also referring to the rhetorical question "Who is like God?"

Vladimir: Name of Russian origin, it means "defender of the people", "ruler of the world and peace".

Alioth: Name given to one of the stars that are part of the "tail" of the constellation Ursa Majoris. Of Arab origin.

Dubhe: Name given to one of the stars that are part of the "tail" of the constellation Ursa Majoris. Of Arab origin.

Megrez: Name given to one of the stars that are part of the "tail" of the constellation Ursa Major. Of Arab origin.

Vladek: Derived from Vladimir, used in Poland.

Malaika: Name of Swahili origin. It means "angel".
